  • Ontario’s Ministry of Natural Resources stocks hundreds of lakes in Northern Ontario with brook trout, splake and rainbows. Meanwhile, fishing stocked brookies can be a hit or miss. Thankfully, while filming this episode of Pautzke Outdoors, we experienced exceptional fishing tipping spoons and jigs with Pautzke Chartreuse Fire Dye minnows and Orange and Blue Fire Dye worms.

      out west by nipigon and thunder bay there's native brookies. and i'm pretty sure there's some native sea runs that come up the rivers from hudson bay to spawn.

    • @dirtydan1764
      @dirtydan1764 7 років тому +2

    • @bigbaccala7152
      @bigbaccala7152 4 роки тому

      MrKveite1 natural brrok trout lakes in this area are closed for the winter. The stocked lakes have varying degrees of difficulty to access, and most are places with everything fish need except spawning grounds. The program keeps pressure off the natural lakes.

      No. You're the only one because they are all different fish. We caught another two dozen actually, but didn't want to make the video 45 minutes so we only showed those. Thanks for your concern, though.

    • @TeamPautzke
      @TeamPautzke  7 років тому +2

      Put one in a cup, cover it with water, and see what happens in two minutes.

    • @jakebardenhagen1733
      @jakebardenhagen1733 7 років тому

      TeamPautzke as long as they have oxygen they won't drown.

    • @TeamPautzke
      @TeamPautzke  7 років тому +1

      Can they get oxygen under water?

    • @jakebardenhagen1733
      @jakebardenhagen1733 7 років тому

      TeamPautzke Yeah. this is a quote. It is true that, without oxygen, worms willsuffocate. But earthworms can survive for several weeks under water, providing there is sufficient oxygen in the water to support them.

    • @TeamPautzke
      @TeamPautzke  7 років тому

      Awesome. We've tried to put worms in water for a few minutes and they drown, which is why we tell people don't submerge them in Fire Dye, because it will kill them. Thanks for your insight!
