Ice Fishing for Big Ontario Brook Trout
Вставка

- Ontario’s Ministry of Natural Resources stocks hundreds of lakes in Northern Ontario with brook trout, splake and rainbows. Meanwhile, fishing stocked brookies can be a hit or miss. Thankfully, while filming this episode of Pautzke Outdoors, we experienced exceptional fishing tipping spoons and jigs with Pautzke Chartreuse Fire Dye minnows and Orange and Blue Fire Dye worms.

Are there ANY brook trout Native to Ontario any longer or is every lake, pond and stream man made stocked with fish ? Oh yes. ARMS DEEP up to the Shoulder at Least in ice water to get that fish that did Not get away !
out west by nipigon and thunder bay there's native brookies. and i'm pretty sure there's some native sea runs that come up the rivers from hudson bay to spawn.
Steve Davis yes, as well as many rivers and creeks in Northwestern Ontario.
if you put too much you drown it *drops it into water* lol

Where is this?
Northern Ontario
TeamPautzke - Im in Elliot Lake, how close?
Good question. We just know it was a lake about an hour from Thunder Bay.
9:07 Ya die your hands a green. No thanks. I'll keep it o nat
Thank you for watching!
I agree mitch it looks like I poked the grinch! The eggs though guys, top not bait. :p
Really, Ontario has no wild fish so you had to go fish stocked fish?
Of course there is wild fish numb nuts. lakes that have native fish are stocked as well.
another negative goof with no idea
MrKveite1 natural brrok trout lakes in this area are closed for the winter. The stocked lakes have varying degrees of difficulty to access, and most are places with everything fish need except spawning grounds. The program keeps pressure off the natural lakes.
@@bigbaccala7152 Maybe a small step to stop poachers.
has anyone else noticed its the same fish
No. You're the only one because they are all different fish. We caught another two dozen actually, but didn't want to make the video 45 minutes so we only showed those. Thanks for your concern, though.
im gay
worms can't drown.
Put one in a cup, cover it with water, and see what happens in two minutes.
TeamPautzke as long as they have oxygen they won't drown.
Can they get oxygen under water?
TeamPautzke Yeah. this is a quote. It is true that, without oxygen, worms willsuffocate. But earthworms can survive for several weeks under water, providing there is sufficient oxygen in the water to support them.
Awesome. We've tried to put worms in water for a few minutes and they drown, which is why we tell people don't submerge them in Fire Dye, because it will kill them. Thanks for your insight!
And ohhh yaaa , she is hot hot hot indeed.
You freezer stuffing pigeons eh. Too broke to buy fish at the store?? Get a job.
What lake is this?
A small pond on the stocking list.
