Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This house sounds like that it's going to be super de duper beautiful! Your videos are always amazing for somebody like me who is visually impaired/blind, especially since I'm totally into Home Improvement with me researching it by using special technology that has talking screen reading software! Your videos are super detailed/descriptive, which help me understand on what's taking place, what things look like, etc. Again, this home is going to be nice from what I'm gathering in this video. I think that the kitchen deserves Appliances from Subzero/Wolf/Cove, along with some plumbing fixtures from Water STone, Hansgrohe, Rohl, Kohler, or anything in between! As far as the range hood, that's a tough one. I think maybe plaster might be a good choice, or some sort of tile! Maybe Quarzite will look good but you need to think about the seems that's for sure. I do think that the kitchen definitely needs undercabinet lighting, which I would suggest linear lighting. I also think that you should incorporate Linear Lighting inside the cabinets that have the glass fronts, and maybe Linear Lighting should be on the top of the upper cabinets to create indirect lighting for a soft glow at night. Perhapse if money allows, you should also look into tow kick lighting underneaf the lower cabinets as it creates a soft night light glow at night. Since we're on the subject of lighting, I can see that lighting clouds are going to be included in the ceiling in certain rooms, which I hear is becoming a new trend. The back lighting that you're also talking about with the linear lighting in one of the bedrooms sounds nice as well. If you want my epinion, there are some great linear lighting brands such as Lucetta, Diode, etc. However, if nobody has picked anything in particular, Color Beam Lighting, along with American Lighting and Proluxe by American Lighting are the top brands in home design as we speak! I want to bring this up as Color Beam Lighting has Tunnable White Lights, along with different colors, and they're made in Canada. However, if you look at the American Lighting Products, along with the Proluxe made by American Lighting Products, they have great choices and they're based out of Denver, Colorado. With the Linear Lighting Brands that I'm talking about, you should look into the Linear Lights that change colors as the Home Owners can create different colors for Christmas, Halloween, A Football Team that they like, along with the 4th of July that has Red, White, and Blue, you name it, it's all possible. Oh yes, you have the capability of tuning the Linear Lighting to different whites such as warm light, daylight, and the whole 9 yards. However, if your project is going to have Linear Lighting, it's best that it's controlled by a Control4 Home Automation System, perhapse by Crestron, Lutron Homeworks QSX, etc. That is, if this home is going to have Home Automation. I do think that this home will look good if you do Linear Lighting in the Great Room for a cleaner look, and of course, I know that Recessed lighting will be used for the General Lighting. I know that you guys were going back and forth on Lighting Fixtures including a large Chandelier, or pendants. If you want to show the views, maybe a chandelier might be too much for the public spaces. Have you guys thought about looking into Monorail Lighting Systems, or perhapse a Cable Lighting System. With the placement of the shelves that you were talking about, especially in the great room and all, I think some sort of Monorail or Cable Lighting System would be a good solution as the systems are so universal, you can create the different principles of lighting with the systems, and you can do heads, pendants, whatever you want your Cable or Monorail System to be with your personality. Monorail and Cable Systems are low voltage, and Visual Comfort has lots of great choices when it comes to the lighting that I have just mentioned. This is especially true with can lights, or anything in between. I would also check out the CE Pro Magazine Website as they have lots of great ideas when it comes to Linear Lighting Projects. By the way, for anyone who would like to know about the spa room in the house and if anyone was asking about the tile floors, it's a porcelain Tile Floor that looks like real wood, which is known as Wood Look Porcelain Tile. That stuff is the best for floors, patios, Bedrooms, especially bathrooms so you can have the real look of wood, but not the serious headaches that come with real Wood Floors in wet rooms of the house.
