We were present the day they filmed Batman and Robin in Bristol - they stopped outside our shop ( Sport & Ski) at around 4am and being pre told to keep all the lights on to make it look late evening we were all upstairs watching David and Nicholas laughing in between takes was the best bits. I'll never forget that night.
My grandfather used to watch 'Only fools and horses' in the early eighties on BBC, so I watched along as a young teenager. Later we watched 'Frost' on the Belgian TV channels. He's disarming, you are very much appreciated over here (in Belgium), Sir David Jason!
This man is nothing but a pure inspiration to me, he helped me through sad times dark times. I feel like he a part of the family. I have every single dvd and he has a place in my heart, I love you man thankyou for all your hard work and great entertainment!
He also made an appearance in Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) and Pop Larkin in The Darling Buds Of May. And he was brilliant in Porridge. Before his acting career he worked as an electrician.
Every now and again I turn to my wife when watching Frost and say - you wouldn't believe that's Del, Granville, Danger Mouse, The BFG, Mr Toad, Billy Mack or Count Duckula - even tho them characters are soo much apart of our whole lives - a testament to his Acting class
Love you, thank you so much for all the laughter and even the tears from your brilliant acting. Even now I can hear you saying 'My boys' as Captain Frank Beck and it makes me cry every time. Thank you so much for doing his memory justice and the memory of all the other fallen soldiers. You are a legend. Xx
i got the first book, it was ace...i liked the helicopter reference!...trigger's broom! ace interview - pity they the bbc didn't know that the late great roger loyd pack played trigger! genius, legend, and the tree!...laughed with joy at the interview...some old fart, and the thora hird stuff...really funny, fave interview of the year
He is a one in a million man 💓. My dad is a massive MASSIVE fan in every role his played but his all time is Del Boy.... coming from south London it resonated a lot. The mind and timing of a genius💓.
Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view!" Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam." Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!" Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..." Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!" Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky." Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction." Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment ?"
Not to put a damper on things but being knighted by that queen isn't something to be proud of. You will find out soon enough why. Other than that he is a legend 🙌 one of my fave actors and played all his parts perfectly.
There are not many people for whom the term 'National Treasure' is appropriate, but even though he would probably be too modest to accept it, David Jason is one of that select few.
Del Boy was brilliant. Yuppie episode Daytrip to the seaside, Rods posh girlfriend and trip to the opera. Brill. David is a fine actor but not all may be as it seems with David sadly.

He would do a brilliant job of playing Churchill now, probably the best British actor we have ever had.
One of the great actors, it's hard to not appreciate any of his roles from Frost to Granville.
He also made an appearance in Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) and Pop Larkin in The Darling Buds Of May. And he was brilliant in Porridge.
Before his acting career he worked as an electrician.

Hardly gone when they can be relived digitally.

Other than that he is a legend 🙌 one of my fave actors and played all his parts perfectly.
Even thought his voice is now “posh” but there’s still some of Delboy voice that comes out every now and then haha :)
I don't understand why he tries to suppress it.
This is his natural accent. Sounds pretty normal to me. He also did a Yorkshire accent in Open all Hours. !!
David Jason is a 24 carat gold nugget chap
