@@loverboy824 it’s ended up clipping the left channel, Plex said that Rockford sent them a bad batch of amps and they would clip in the first 100 miles or so.. said amps had reduced power out of the box for whatever reason. You’d know if you got a bad one very soon after install. I think it was maybe 5 out of a batch of 200
I got the flex for my low rider. I have a small t bar bag so not sure if thats the reason but with a full face helmet you have to turn the volume way up to hear on the freeway and even than hard to hear. There is no bass what so ever. Not sure if it was worth it. If you ride a skull cap or less probably better.
Thanks for the thorough review man. I got the same bike running a JD T-Sport w/ the gen 1 system. This vid helped me determine if the upgrade would be worth it to me. My gen 1 was also butted up against the risers which helped the vibration. It helps with the support, but I don’t think it’s a prob that can be 100% fixed.
In my opinion, if what you have works for you, id keep it🤙🏼 not that the 2.0 is a POS or anything but the size of the gen 1 just helps fasten it to the risers.
Do you have a headlight lid/ eyebrow mounted headlight? I have an 05 dyna low rider and am trying to get the plex system but obviously won’t be able to mount the bracket under my risers considering the headlight and all that are in the way. What options do I have?
i was in the same issue, i have a 2004 lowrider. what i did was buy a memphis shade road warrior and removed the top mounted eyebrow, and installed it on the lower triple tree. i had to drill a whole on the bottom triple tree.
I want to watch this when I get home. Seems like a log review. I have the V1, old mounting system and the t152 speakers. They are nice but I just need a little more music for me. Do you have the marine grade speakers? They are 15 more RMS watts which should be noticeable. Are these noticeably louder then the T152 speaker option??? Thanks !
More high frequency comes out of the new smaller speaker which makes it seem louder. But you don’t get that “through your chest” power that the T152s have. They are both extremely loud in my opinion. I prefer the 6.5” T152s, but that’s not an option with the 2.0
I think the 2.0 is an all around nicer, stronger unit. I wouldn’t say it’s a must have upgrade if you already have the original one and it’s not giving you issues

Yeah. You’ll want a street bob headlight bucket and your headlight block of choice. Which ever one goes with your fairing

Did you find a way to lower the highs? I’m having the same problem. The speakers hurt at a certain volume
There’s knobs in the amp to tune it. I ended up just leaving it and tuning it through my Spotify equalizer
Can you hear it going 90 plus mph with loud exhaust like a thunderheader. not sure what exhaust you run but just wanted your opinion.
I run a Thunderheader. And yes definitely but after about 85 it gets muffled a bit by helmet noise. It’s a very very loud stereo

Is it a lowrider stock cable?

Is this the marine grade or just the regular speakers?
I’m not 100% sure but I’ve gotten them wet before and its been fine
Does it vibrate when you’re at a red light? I have the same bike and system and it vibrate at a stop light.
