After hearing this story, it is understandable why you hold onto this bike so dearly. Any rider who shares such a long history with their bike would never want to part with a vehicle that has such sentimental value.
I definitely dig this style of content. It’s cool to see you have your first bike back and the history on it. I did the same sold by first dyna did the bagger thing for awhile are circled back and bought a 2000 fxdx I’m building currently. I still search for my old bike constantly though, I’m forever heartbroken until I might get lucky and own it again lol
I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed this video, especially because I owned an 09 that looked just like yours before all the work was done. My mistake was thinking I could never get that bike to be what yours became. My bad. I sold it and bought a 2014 that had already bern transformed. My only problem now is that it’s not completely done the way I want so now the work begins. I probably should have stuck with my 09 and made it exactly the bike I want. Live and learn. Thanks again
Never say never Trevor, less someone comes through and offers you something clever. I got my first 86 fxr as a basket case at 14. I had that bike for 20 years before the right kind of money to step up, but it did. So i sold it bought a 93 FXR and an 04 FXDSG. The 93 is the second FXR that i said I'd "never sell". Needless to say i sold it in a gas station parking lot one day out for a ride, took a taxi home. Now i just need to "never sell" 2 more and i can pay for some kids college.
Love this video, the story, and the bike! I still own my first Dyna (FXDX) which is still in that middle stage and a bit a bit roachy. This is super inspiring. Thanks for sharing Shep! 👊✊
I enjoyed hearing this story. I have an ‘05 FXDI that I bought brand new in August 2005. It the first and only bike I ever owned. It’s all silver, engine and paint.
I just did the same to my 2013 fxdc but it’s the anniversary bronze and black 2 tone other. When I leave the bar I let that 2into1 pipe scream . People on there m8s love it
Great story and dig your bike. I have a similar story about my 91 FXR. My first HD and favorite. Wish I was closer to you, love your work and videos. Keep it up!
My first bike was a new Superglide Custom, rode the hell out of it, 21 bikes later and I still miss that Dyna, might look for one that needs a little TLC this summer
Hey, enjoyed listening to the story about your bike. It took me down memory lane on my own bike (a black dyna also). It’s cool you’re still riding a dyna when they’re seemingly more overlooked these days. I’ll always have my dyna. Also, are you going to make it out to the FXR Jam this year? You should if you can, it’ll be cool to meet you and check out that sick FXR of yours! -Mike
Sick video bro, i have a 2013 fxdb thats a "black dyna" also. Basically doing the same thing as you...its definately a lifestyle and journey man, keep sending awesome content!💯🤙🏻🤙🏻
More builds and how to videos. Love your videos man . I have an 03 fxd and this is what I hope it will become in the future. That beast sounds so Nasty!!
not my first bike but def my forever bike i bought a wrecked lowrider s in nc drove 24 hours straight there and back with covid after work cause i was so pumped to start working on it had 6k when wrecked i sine put almost 20k on it plan on bringing it to you guys to tune and do the front suspension 🤘🤘
Looking forward to seeing that blue diamond build. I'm still building my 03 Dinah a lot of same parts that you have on your black Diana screaming eagle heads FXDX forttubes.
Awesome story and bike! It wouldn't hurt to have given a shout-out to FortNine, seeing that you got a few of his recommendations: saddleman seat & the front fairings w/windshield. Sweet Dyna though!
I would like to see you do an episode on how you started your shop and how long it took to be successful. Also sharing some financial challenges and successes. I work on bikes in my garage at my home and have for a few years now but I want to turn it into a full time thing. Thanks.
A gorgeous motorcycle should showcase the motor; yours does that. I do like the understated club dyna look with the blonde motor. It stands out and looks unique, for sure. Someone had to do it. I like it a lot.
Wow, really like this story Shep! This is Johnny from Jersey, you did my FXLRS, and I feel the same way about my bike just like you do on this super glide build. Love that blonde motor and the chrome dress up! Thinking of having you do my forks this fall (Ohlins), and I too wanted to add bags, but hard ones of matching gray. What do you think? You have me email, shoot me a note. Thanks for the video, I truly enjoyed. 😊
Wow . thank you . after having a mint fat 09 fxds i sold it . and after watching many dyna videos . i got a mint 05 too !! Mint fxdl and all ready had some nice mods . and i love way better than the 09 . build bu buell bay that is why as got some work on the engine and v hines old long single pipe and is fast and handle grate . !! I was going to paint it black too but all the chrome grew on me . thank you may be one day i will build a black on . fpr now old school club all the way . i love mine too !!! 05 .s fxd are grate . !! Thank you grate bideo . and bike !!!! 🎉🎉🎉❤
I noticed your rear shock reservoir is pointed towards the front rather than the rear. Are the Ohlins positioned in this direction for a purpose or does it have a function?
I’m looking to buy my first Harley. I’ve kinda settled on a 2000-2003 FXDX Dyna Super Glide Sport, mid control. Ideally as stock and unmolested as possible. Close to your bike, but with the black motor, dual front discs and adjustable suspension. Hopefully it will “ride” similar to yours. Thanks for your perspective?
I've just recently put duel disk on my 03 Dyna with bagger calipers. It looks like I need to go from the 11.5 rotors to the 11.8 rotors. What rotors did you use on the front of yours? And did you also have to go with 11.8?
Faster lap time than a 600 super sport? Damn thats hard to believe. A kawasaki zx6r has around 109whp and weighs 420 lbs. The dyna is 130 whp and weighs 680 lbs. The power to weight ratio on the typical 600 SS is better than a Dyna and I know the typical 600 SS is faster in the corners. I'd like to see that race.
Rad bike and cool to hear the story behind it! I'm looking to pick up my first Harley (dyna specifically), anyone got any input on early vs late model dyna and which I should go for?
After hearing this story, it is understandable why you hold onto this bike so dearly. Any rider who shares such a long history with their bike would never want to part with a vehicle that has such sentimental value.
I just purchased a 2005 carbureted Dyna. I found your channel. Awesome story! I like the look!
Sick hearing the story behind the builds and your journey in the bike world. Always killing it man 🍻

I've had a few. I have one currently that's built.
I enjoyed hearing this story.

Thanks!
One of the nicest Dyna's I've seen, very nice touches ! Sounds Awesome !
Excellent story. Well explained. New to dyna game learned a lot. Appreciate it!
Great story, thx a lot. The bike is your connection to some great times.
Intersting that you still ride it over all other options you have.
My first bike was a new Superglide Custom, rode the hell out of it, 21 bikes later and I still miss that Dyna, might look for one that needs a little TLC this summer

I had the same first bike as that one when you got it originally! Color and everything.
You Rock ! Amazing Dyna story. That Bike is True ARTWORK. Love the sound of that Monster Camshaft !!
Dude! We need... or I need more videos from you. I dig what you're doing and wanna see more of it.
Excellent video. great story. Nice seeing you got your first bike back, thanks for sharing. Cheers
I watch this over and over. Always loving it dude. I’ll be contacting you to try and get appointment this winter if possible. 😊
Love your bike homie. The attention to detail and story behind it. Gained a follower from it. Now I can catch up on all your videos. 🤘🤘
My first HD is 2000 dyna wide glide. I'll never sell either. You have a beautiful bike. Club style dynas are the coolest looking bikes in my opinion.
Your story was awesome. Love affair that had its distance and reunion and all that went into this was just awesome. I completely get it :)
That seriously is one of the coolest bikes out there. You really need to post more pictures of it!
Definitely like this type of content! Would love to see more of this as well as what youre already doing!
My first bike is also a 2005 Superglide! I almost traded it in for a new Softail and I'm glad I never did!
Super clean man
Very interesting... kept me hooked start to finish and I'm not even an HD owner..
Good video, I like bike breakdowns. It's cool to hear the history of your first bike or first harley and how you got your start.
Good to hear about the history of your ride.
Loved the look of the first Super Glide.
I've always liked the blonde motor
Been binge watching ur videos man… Just got my 1st hd, an 05 Dyna.
very inspiring video 😃👍
Cool bike and a great story. Definitely a keeper.

been wanting to get a dyna. Thanks for sharing ur story.
Very nice. ✊🏻 What brand of front crash bar is that. Thanks.
Looking forward to seeing that blue diamond build. I'm still building my 03 Dinah a lot of same parts that you have on your black Diana screaming eagle heads FXDX forttubes.
Awesome story I feel the same way about my fxdc 08 I will never sell it
Awesome story and bike! It wouldn't hurt to have given a shout-out to FortNine, seeing that you got a few of his recommendations: saddleman seat & the front fairings w/windshield.
Sweet Dyna though!
It’s a nice clean bike I liked hearing the story and that awesome that you got it back
More of these videos please! Share your other bikes too!
I would like to see you do an episode on how you started your shop and how long it took to be successful. Also sharing some financial challenges and successes. I work on bikes in my garage at my home and have for a few years now but I want to turn it into a full time thing. Thanks.
Would love to see some motovlogs on the dyna
A gorgeous motorcycle should showcase the motor; yours does that. I do like the understated club dyna look with the blonde motor. It stands out and looks unique, for sure. Someone had to do it.
I like it a lot.
Why did you get that key relocation kit? Love that.
Hot dyna. I have 2009 street bob 96 stage 1 love it
Awesome video
It’s cool to hear a little of your background and of course the bike
🍻🍻
love it! I would have powdercoated the cases and got some black jugs with machined fins if I had it apart though lol!
I'm from queensbury, now I know why I like Harleys lmao.
Hell yes awesome bike and enjoy hearing about how it got there.
Great history on the Dyna....my first is an 07 Super Glide....never letting it go....question....do you remember who makes the tail light?
That's sick if you ever wanted to add pov rides of your builds that would fun to see.

Very cool bike, really enjoyed the video.
Nice build
Damn, this bike stylistically/function/ride height wise is very similar to my Sporty, I wonder how it compares. What a beauty!
Cool story. I have a similar story of when I sold my gsxr and I bought my 2003 Dyna super glide
I have a 2010 Superhlide C, and i like it. The motor is stock. Everything else is changed a bit. I'd really like to make it a dual front disks though.
What front crash bar/ engine guard is that? Bike is beautiful
Awesome bike for sure
I like it! Totally worth your time and money, Imo. Would like it if I could ever do that ❤!!! 😳😜🤪
Beautiful bike brother!
Nice bike and story
Nice looking back. I'm gonna build one just like it got old three dina doing the same things to it
Sounds great
I got an 02 fxd.. Stock motor.. I want it to go like yours
I noticed your rear shock reservoir is pointed towards the front rather than the rear. Are the Ohlins positioned in this direction for a purpose or does it have a function?
Loved the content
You coming to any events in the city this year?
I’m looking to buy my first Harley. I’ve kinda settled on a 2000-2003 FXDX Dyna Super Glide Sport, mid control. Ideally as stock and unmolested as possible. Close to your bike, but with the black motor, dual front discs and adjustable suspension. Hopefully it will “ride” similar to yours. Thanks for your perspective?
Cool az m8
Keep em comin
O i forgot . that engine you have now is a monster . best sound i hear so far . wowo . i get in big truble with that engine . !!! 😂
What height is your Memphis windshield ..
Great story.
Can you give us the link to buy the license plate frame you got on this bike? Thanks!
That bike is awesome. I still haven’t decided on my first harley. What would you rec. 6’1 190 lbs. have ridden dirt bikes in the past a bit.
It's too bad you can't use the hpi exhaust if you have forward controls
I've just recently put duel disk on my 03 Dyna with bagger calipers. It looks like I need to go from the 11.5 rotors to the 11.8 rotors. What rotors did you use on the front of yours? And did you also have to go with 11.8?
That motor sounds like music....How much $$ is in the engine ?
You didn’t mention the fly swatter and what brand seat
Love it
Faster lap time than a 600 super sport? Damn thats hard to believe. A kawasaki zx6r has around 109whp and weighs 420 lbs. The dyna is 130 whp and weighs 680 lbs. Rad bike and cool to hear the story behind it! I'm looking to pick up my first Harley (dyna specifically), anyone got any input on early vs late model dyna and which I should go for?
I bought an 06 superglide
Did you go big bore, flowed heads which cams? Thanks
What kind of crash bars are those
What handlebars are those? Also if I want to convert my 07 to dual disk what do I need besides wheel and calipers
