How I loved, watching this show with my beloved father. He grew. up in this time and it never left him. i know, you are looking down from heaven and smiling. You, will never know how much I miss and love you, Daddy.

The actress did a very good job playing the tease, Marcia Woolery. MW was also about as smart as a sack of moss. I was so happy that she and John-Boy didn't get together. 👏💨
Met someone in California who met Richard Thomas. Guy told me he's a real nice guy. Thomas conversed with him and did his best to be nice. His acting in "You'll Like My Mother" was really great.
Tami Bula posted a few comments below this one 2 years ago! I'll let her know you posted this. I'm sure she'll get a kick out of the fact her grandchild posted about her on the same video :)
I always liked Marcia. I wish she was in more episodes. She was very pretty and feminine. She understood the male/female dynamic. There's a reason she could attract men like John Boy and Hank Buchanan. The show was from John Boys perspective but as this clip shows, she was just insecure and unsure of their relationship. All she wanted was a secure future with him. She kept expressing this to him but HE is the one who "played" her. He wanted her to be a girlfriend when he wanted and wanted her to be a friend when he wanted. He breaks the dance date with her right before the dance and wanted to do it by sending her a note? Of course she was pissed. He kept playing her. He should have married her. She was from the mountain and understood him and shared the same past with him. He could have concentrated on his writing and she would have been happy being a housewife and mother. Instead he chased after the wrong women. Sorry John Boy but if I was on the mountain, I would have snatched her up!
@Jo Hu who were the people she manipulated? A lot of people feel insecure in a relationship, not sure where they stand with the other person. It doesn't make someone a narcissist It's not shown in this clip but when John Boy, Marcia and Olivia are driving in the car, his mom Olivia tells John Boy that he's the fickle one, not Marcia. He was a classic "player"
Marcia is the definition of a clingy girlfriend. I swear she's the reason that boys are so scared of us! I never knew what john boy saw in that girl. Also, I KNOW she pushed him down that hill out of anger. I'm sure she was sorry for it after, but she can have quite the temper.
Marcia Did Not push John Boy. He fell backwards trying to catch the ring she threw. I know because I was there. And I'm her, Tammi Bula the actress who played her. John Boy was fickle! She was playing hard to get because she read too many magazines. But when she did get close He always got cold feet and would not commit. Please read my reply to Carol Gore above :+)
I am now watching and enjoying The Tumultuous Relationship Between Marcia Woolery and John Boy 💙❤️. Almost too much Passion and uncertainty for me. Too much trouble be for them to just get along and become a couple. Sincerely, A Waltons TV Show Fan Barbara Patterson.
I never could stand Marcia Woolery. I have no idea what John-Boy saw in her. She treated him horribly and doesn't care about anyone but herself. That has been shown every single time that they are together. She simply leads him on and can never make up her mind about anything. He was seeing Jenny Pendleton and she just disappeared from the show with no explanation. Such a shame. She was a kind and compassionate character who obviously cared about him. Perhaps it was because the actors were dating in real life and it didn't work out? That's just a guess, but it fits what happened. John-Boy was in love with Jenny in the Thanksgiving Story and then she never showed up again. He was suddenly back to spoiled little Marcia. She demands he give her his class ring, throws it away when he hesitates and then pushes him off a cliff. Instead of apologizing, she dumps him for another guy. Yeah, she's a real prize that one.
I did Not Push John Boy. And I know because I am the actress who played Marcia Woolery. And I loved Marcia because she was a country girl trying to grow up into a city girl. But she read too many magazines, I always said. But you must admit John Boy had a lot of girl friends too! And their relationship was funny! I'm now an author and have been a registered nurse in critcal and emergency medicine for 30 years. You might like my book "The MOST Perfect Girl." Please see my reply to Carol Gore above. God Bless
Tami Brueggemann I admit Marcia had some more growing up to do; but so did John-Boy in some ways. Marcia was pretty and she had her sweet moments; I don’t think she was that bad.
Ppl are saying maricia was bad to him.....i feel john boy was..... Kissing her without permission , Telling her he'll take her to dance but again cancelling., Pointing his fingers talking to her no matter the reason
as someone who went through crap, the kissing thing is a bit weird looking back but i still love him and see his whole character. consent is always important.
I hate how it’s always the female who gets called a “floozy” or “slut” when the male character can be just as wrong too !! Now John Boy was a sweet kid but wasn’t mature with some of them either. Fans also say he got with so many women, he must have 10 illegitimate children. And saying he would hook up with any woman. But others say he was just a love smitten child. Stupid double standards
I wish John Boy had married Marsha because she was a Mountain girl not like Janet He married from New York. Does anyone no what happened to Marsha? Where is Janet at now?
I'm Tammi Bula. I played Marcia Woolery. I agree with you! John-Boy Walton should have married Marcia Woolery. But try as she did he would NOT give her his ring!!! I'm an Author. @@reenchristiebula6114 Hi "Marcia"! It sounds like you've gone on to do a lot of great things. Have you had any contact with Richard Thomas or any of the rest of the cast? I see your granddaughter posted a comment above :)
Marsha is that kind of girl back in the day who would make up stories about black men flirting and whistling at them, resulting in those men getting lynched.
Probably not the best idea, regardless of color or race. Actress Tyne Daly tried to make a crusade out of it back in the mid-90's-we saw what happened both with her tv show and rl marriage.
Richard Thomas is a great actor. He is also intelligent. I can't believe that a cornball series such as this aired while I was in my mid-twenties. Richard did a great job during a still repressive backwards era that perceived itself as modern. Not that much has changed. Could he have played a gay character then or even now and get recognition? I don't know but doubt it. What a shame!

Really what's her name and what's your Grandma's name
Beautiful girl. Awesomely awesome actor
Very 👌 cool
I love this!
Love the music and editing. Thanks for this lol.
Marcia was a tease , lol. he wouldn't been happy with her but he loved the chase 😉
The kind of woman that can put a man in an early grave.
.... but with a smile on our face.
She's what you call a a "Head-Fucker". A dating man's most cruelest species.
I felt like john boy was to good for her
There weren't a lot of girls on the mountain that were the type John - Boy would date. It seems like all the girls he dated came from elsewhere 🎈🎈
I did not like her. She never grew up! Never knew what he saw in her!
It’s really great watching old TV shows. Today’s TV is nothing but trash, poisonous, and remakes.
4:04 John boy looked so happy! Lol
When you look back at it , was kinda funny now especially how they put this little piece together .
Marcia drove poor John Boy crazy 😂
The way John Boy falls down after the punch is my favorite part. 4:03
I like Jenny better Marcia got on my nerves and man she's NEVER sure about anything
Independent Minnesotan I like the woman he married in the final series named Janet
I like Jenny much better too! Marcia got on my nerves!! I don’t know what he saw in her!
I liked Jenny also! What do you mean by acting gamy?
LOVE your pfp!!

None of that was filmed in VA. The mountains and canyons of LA figured prominently.

Marcia and John Boy are meant for each other.
If I were John Boy, I wouldn’t give Marcia another glance after meeting Jenny.
Marsha was clueless as to how to be herself..I would never act this way..especially to a man I actually cared for..what a shame!
didn't she also play murray's daughter in an episode of the mary tyler moore show? she was very lovely!
Yes she did. Tami Bula she played Bonnie Slaughter in the 1973 MTM show I Gave At The Office.
This was very cool

Richard Thomas was dating Jenny in real life and (IMO) after that relationship soured, they probably didn't want to act together after that.
exactly right...Also, the walton girls treated Men bad.. ESPECIALLY. , GW

Jenny moved because her father died in a car wreck and had to go back to her home town.she didn’t move back.
My second-most-hated TV character ever: Marcia Woolery.
I thought Jennie was good for John-Boy; whatever happened to her? (Sian-Barbara Allen)
She and Richard Thomas broke up and stopped acting together.
I was not fond of her character to say the least 😂
What was Marcias real name?
I have forgotten but her last name was Bula I think.
Maureen McCormick.
Tammi Bula is her name!
She was not the girl for sweet John Boy.

John boy's kissing is a battery. She did not give him permission to kiss her. When else have the Walton boys behaved badly towards women?
She seems more like a Jan than a Marcia!
Seems more like a prick teaser to me.
why did my boy simp for her?
