I remember when the first time I made contact with Blender, it's 11 years ago, memorable, everything is harder and slower 😂, but now, drastically different, thank you Blender and the communities, help me a lot and my journey as a 3D artist
@@cheuqs for sure, I got so much knowledge by learning from your videos about Geo node, trying to jump from my comfort zone as 3D character artist to procedural artist, you and your art is awesome
Thank you so much! Your video came at the right time, I was searching high and low to simulate the flower bloom without using geometry nodes. Thank you so much again.
You can actually use alembic, which I think is just nicer to work with. You just frame override in the mesh sequence cache modifier and you keyframe the frame value. This way you can even do cool ramping and stuff.
I need to follow this one to the end. I started your previous one, but I can't even remember why I didn't finish it, as every freaking things in my life, butt I digress >.> 6:34 I was simply thinking, since we seem to be using force field here, isn't there a 'Spin' force field we could use here ? Or some kind of Proximity/Attractive force that could turn around and affect the petals ? Anyways, thanks for the tutorial, hopefully I'll finish this one and maybe improvise a bit on it XD Or it'll all just happen in my head. again ;)
love your tutorials! i am having an issue recreating this one though.. i am even using your model and have copied everything possible for it to be the exact same but when I try my flowers just shrink? they don't even lift up? any clue?
Try to have the the gravity do most of the lifting, then work with the force field to pull them in and down, if its happening in the gravity stage you might want to increase your vertex mass, the more you do this the more you will need to increase the gravity and force field but will make the petals not crinkle and shrink as much
I don't think so with this method, it would be too intensive and the force fields might mess with each other, best bet would be to use a distribute points with poisson disk to make enough space between the instances or use rotation on instances to reduce collisions
i have tried every possible combination with quality steps collisions and vertex mass and still the petals colide with each other and the mesh just loses its shit . Is there something i am missing? Also i did my petals with not many vertices like yours and did a quad mesh at the end and a little noise displace for the realism(applyed).
So the settings you mentioned are more for the find tuning of the bloom, If they continue to freak out throughout the bloom, double check the collision properties and make sure they are low enough (0.002-0.001) if that's not the issue make sure you have no solidify on the petal its just a flat plane. Last thing I can think is try to go into edit mode and move any verities from any petals that are colliding so every mesh (petal) is completely separate
of all tutorials i have ever seen, this one in my favourite, thanks a lot for putting this kind of quality content out here

It has come a long way, glad to hear that!

Glad to hear that!
need these kind of quality tutorial thank you
Thanks for sharing man!
Real way around from Blender to Houdini 😅
Love the idea and the execution!!
Thank you!
amazing as always brother!
Ayy Appreciate it man!
Thank you. This is gorgeous, and thank you for sharing your remarkable workflow.
No worries!
bruh srsly? that's some impressive stuff

Thank you for the tutorial and the demo file. I really appreciate it!

cooooooooooooool
Ayy, thanks! I love your work
Thank you for the tutorial, i learned alot from it
this crazy man thx a lot all respect for the smart head you have
Haha thanks!
Great work!
Insane Stuff MAN!
Thanks!
Thank you so much for the great tutorial! It was very helpful.
you are legend!!!!!!!!! ty so much tutorial
!!!!!!!!
Haha no worries!
Thank you for sharing. This is so valuable video
Beautyfull method, looks absolutely stunning.

Impressive! Thank you for this tutorial! 😍
Just perfect!
👌
thank you very much for sharing your tutorial
Insane 😮
Thank you!
For anyone struggling with their petal flying around wildly and not reacting as expected, try scaling the petals up to a larger size.
Cant wait for stamen,master
still waiting on that stamen tutorial
I really wish you would do a tutorial for lavender
Can't export the petals as mdd format anymore. There is no addon for it anymore. Tried looking for it with different words :/
im still thinking about that stamen tutorial :,)
That so good man 🎉 what about the flower pistill?
We need stem tutorial!! ❤
Is the stem tutorial coming soon ? ❤
awesome
one question if i may : how did you learn this much geo nodes ??
thank you
Thank you

thank you
Can you make a video on how to create pbr texture layers?

mine disappears when i add collision
wouldn't it be easier to invert the png sequence in after effects?
Could you please tell us, is it possible to make a large field of blooming flowers preserving the collision blender?

@@cheuqs but what about making ~20 flowers with good collision?
@@SergienkovDanil yeah it would be the same sadly from my knowledge
@@cheuqs so then it calls “welcome to Houdini”
@@SergienkovDanil Haha yeah sometimes its needed
hey i downloaded your flower pack is there any way i can move it to a different blender file? or is there a way i can put it in the asset library?
why I can not find lightwave point cache on Blender 4.2? Is it a plugin or what? If yes, can you tell me how to download
brother if you have a beginner friendly paid course, I'll def buy it
Where is the Stamen tutoriaaaaaal 🥹 good job tho !

@@cheuqs thank you i will try again and maybe do the petal on geo nodes just in case the mesh makes it all go nuts . thank you again amazing tutorial
@@alexandersarimpalidis835 did you untick single sided ?
I had the same problem, what solved for me was in the collision settings - softbody & cloth, I disabled single sided. Then it worked!
@@beewayshine solved it, thanks man, i was just stuck on that part
hey man what's the song name ?
For some reason my project crashes when exporting animation to .abs, maybe someone knows why?
the only downside is that it isn't really procedural. Looks great though!
👍
the tutorial is not clear i didn't understand how even everything began please ry to make it from beggining
