mantisses? manti? mantae? w/e theyre p cool anyway. i like how they seem really aware of whats going on around them. most insects dont really react to things until its really close but manti are always looking around and watching stuff

Was watching and was gonna ask lifespan but you answered it in the first minute. :-) most of my Ts are pre molt in their burrows so I have like only two Ts I can film atm. My Avicularia avicularia and my Aphonopelma chalcodes. My Cobalt Blue, A seemanni, and B hamorii all have the do not disturb sign up. I want to do a full show and tell when I film them. So I’ll wait until they all out and about
Very neat mantis though. Can’t wait to see it grown up

So tiny and cute. 2 years ago leaving a reptile expo buying some T's, we saw one of these by the parking lot. A woman picked it up and we were thinking maybe it escaped from a vendor. It was about 5 inches big. I had never seen one of these before. We left it by some trees. Looked just like it's name. Dead leaf! Short life span compared to T's. Keep us updated as she grows.

Awesome addition! I've been seeing a lot of mantis lately, thought about keeping one but decided against it for the same reason you did. I can't wait to see the little one grow up.

They don't get 5 inches. I have 3 adults (i got babies from them) and they are only 3.5-4 inches. A lot of peoples exaggerating the size of mantis.
