Nice I stayed at the same exact hostel last year during Bastille Day and there were a ton of people in that area and a party across the street outside the fire station. It was very lively at that time but its so different to see the area quiet and empty

good video, i used megabus a lot over the last years and im about to use flixbus this year when i go to berin to get to vienna and bratislava for a day out. You just need to make sure you do your planning on it like on the video here, make SURE you know where the bus is leaving and at what time and take a book and some snacks with you. On a 7 hour bus ride there is probarbly a 30 minute stop somewhere but yeh if you can save $100 by using the bus rather than a plane i whould do it.

Jermaine, man, this is great. I travel through Europe by train all the time, but decided to take Flixbus in October 2019. It was great, inexpensive and easy to use. Belgium to Amsterdam to Paris!
Flixbus is pretty good, depending if they turn up. I used them across Europe and the longest ride I took was 18 hours from Prague to Lille, I kind of wish I took the train on that one... I'm going across Europe again from Friday 29th March with Flixbus so here's to a shorter journey!

Normally there should be no passport checks at all anywhere on this route, because the whole journey is inside the Schengen area.
@@willembruins9103 Even inside the Schengen area its normal that cops do some routine checks. might check all or just some people. Mostly looking for non EU citizen (mostly people from non EU eastern europe) overstaying their visa.
Train tickets are as low as 35e if some notice. But, yeah, last minute can be $$ Have fun...!

Of course there are racism (like anywhere...) but there is also a main difference: when people has a European passport, the police just look at the pass and that is all, because frontiers are open between the countries. But when you have a non- european pass, then they ask more.

@@Samo762 at point of entry customs would act on behalf of immigration. He's traveling between two European Union countries so what kind of dutiable goods would customs be interested in? It's an immigration issue checking his passport.
@@samthepoet107 That's I said. It was a document/status check. He had a passport with an entry stamp in it. That's all they need to know. He did not have to tell them anything.
