Does anyone here experience the malfunction of 'CUSTOM BUTTON'? I was covering an event, I am hybrid shooter, so I am filming at the same time shooting some stills with one camera which is Lumix S5IIX, I custom the C-1, C-2 & C-3, but accidentally I use 'M' for shooting stills then when I go back to C-1 which is for film (6k 25fps open gate) the setting did not really went for what settings I set up for, so basically the camera now doesn't remember the custom setting I set, whenever I shutdown the camera it's going back to stills settings not with the setting that I set up for custom. I already updated the firmware before, when I pick up the camera which means it's already been updated before this thing happens. If anyone here has a solution or suggestion on what I can do with it, please let me know. Appreciate any help.
Kaleb, I just reviewed your video. Very nice! I have a question for you . . . if I’m going to do SSD recording, what are you doing to power your S5M2X camera? I would like to use the DCC17 coupler with the power source being a power bank and not use not use a bulky V mount battery attached to rails. Do you know if this is possible and which manufacturer would have the USB-C cabling to the DCC17 coupler to do this rig set up?
Thanks for the quick overview. Just a tip, you can set cam to manual focus therefore locking focus down for the back of camera shots to stop the autofocus from jumping in and out.

Quick question, I took the x as I wanted to record on SSD most of the time and I saw you had something like a case for your Sandisk SSD drive? I cannot see any link in your video, could you link the mount for SSD drive please so I could purchase it ? Tks in advance!

It looks to me like a SanDisk Extreme Pro SSD. Judging by the red line down the side which I think sets it apart from the non "pro". Just my observation. I have some of SanDisk's ssd's and they are great.
What do you use for System Frequency? Some people say stay in 59.94Hz (NTSC) others say set it to 24.00Hz (Cinema). I’ve been using 24hz but it stops me from having access to 120fps.
I am connecting the Lumix S5II to my Macbook using the Lumix Tether app to MacOS devices with an M1 chip. Although the app connects to my Macbook and allows camera control. But I cannot use it as a webcam on Zoom, Teams, Riverside, or other virtual camera applications. The Lumix S5ii is not recognized, and I don't see any option to select the camera as a webcam. Your insights into this matter would greatly benefit users facing similar challenges. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Thanks, Caleb, this video is super helpful. For. the more plodding among us, a slower basic video setting guide for S5IIx would be helpful as well, especially with more focus, ie.., close-ups, on where you are going in the menu, would be really helpful.

I had an error while trying to Load settings from my S5ii to S5iiX. Do anybody know how to make it work?
Does your Lumix s5IIX drain the battery too when it's OFF?

i use both but mostly keep it at 59.94hz

It probably is related to your camera set to PAL rather than NTSC. Page 130 of the manual.
