    Had the honor of attending Steve's class, in which he taught Self-Concept for The Comprehensive master practitioner courses. His contributions aside, he was a genuine human being and a fantastic teacher. I hope he gets to ski again, in whatever universe he resides in now.

      The Self-Concept Model? No, you can read the book by Steve Andreas, Transforming Your Self. In that book The Self-Concept Model is explained and demonstrated. It's also filled with all of the exercises to make the model work.

    I know its the meta right now to remove chapters but I REALLY wish this had one so I didn't have to watch the whole thing - the copywriting retention editing is getting annoying on YT

    • @DamonCart
      @DamonCart  5 місяців тому +2

      Chapters have to be added first before you remove them. For a 12 minute video I don't think chapters are necessary so I didn't add them. If you really can't stand to watch a 12 minute video, run it on double speed or become more patient.

    Never thought of gratitude (grateful) as a self concept. I basically live on the asset that is 'reliable.' -
    This one is better for both interpersonal and wealth, even if we dispense with Dispenza and are unattracted by LOA.
    One could argue that 'gratitude' was MacGyver's superpower; that his gratitude 'alchemically transmuted' set props into his personal sword-in-the-stone. Or scientifically speaking, his RAS was attuned to seeing value in things, so he was able to use that value (whether or not he labeled this as gratitude, he was probably grateful that he was surrounded by useful things.)

    • @DamonCart
      @DamonCart  5 місяців тому +1

      Grateful is not a self-concept. Your self-concept is a generalization of all of the qualities you possess, both valued and not valued (both positive and negative). In other words grateful, reliable, determined, happy, successful, passionate, etc. are aspects of a self-concept. When you use the Self-Concept Model to transform yourself, you're working at the level of quality. You work on one quality at a time. Every time you transform a quality, you alter your Self-Concept. So you can be grateful and reliable (and happy and successful, etc.). You don't have to choose one over the other, nor should you.

    Fantastic profile! I have highly regarded steve and Red much of his stuff and had the honor of emailing with him and knew much of his background, but you really added great information to both his bio and his work!
    I have Steve’s ‘transforming yourself’ book (in fact - 2!) and I’m now recommitting to reading it to completion.
    And I know that you have collaborated with Steve up until his death and that has never been lost on me and I’ve been tracking you all this time. And definitely want to go
    Further.

    Thank you for sharing this model. Your love and appreciation for Steve Andreas shines through - and just noticed that the painting you have in your wall is a variation of the "Transforming Your Self" cover. Beautiful honoring of your dear mentor. 🙏 I feel inspired to share that Connirae Andreas, in a brilliant lateral thinking move, has also created a masterpiece that, for me, is one of the most brilliant and effective bodies of work that gives us a process to come to wholeness within ourselves, helping "parts" or contractions of our sense of self merge back into the wholeness of our Being. She very aptly called it "The Wholeness Work". :) For myself, having learned NLP (both good and bad) as well as many other energetic and mental frameworks and bodies of work, Connirae's Wholeness Work really stands on its own league as one of the most gentle and transformative processes for supporting us to be our full Self, be who we truly are - our unique 'colors - and live from that integral state. A masterpiece to be shared in the world - far and wide - as well. 🙏

      Thank you.
      How I met Steve was facilitating Connirae's Wholeness training. It was my job to pick her up at the airport, take her to dinner every night, and make sure she had everything she needed. I got to take the training as well. As a result of getting to hang out with her we hit it off really well. A couple of months after she went back home, I received an email from Steve saying Connirae had good things to say about me and he wanted to know if I would like his help. That's how my mentorship with him started.

    What is difference in benefit between this and hypnosis? Arent they the same? Reprogramming subconscious

    • @DamonCart
      @DamonCart  5 місяців тому +1

      NLP uses a lot of hypnosis but it's more like waking hypnosis. With hypnosis the aim is to communicate directly with the unconscious to give it instructions. To me this feels like working in the dark. I like to be more precise and I like to test to see if it's working, which is why I prefer NLP. Reprogramming the subconscious is a bit vague and oversimplified as an explanation of what we're doing. It's more about integrating and cultivating a relationship between both conscious and unconscious.

    • @richeneflowease3622
      @richeneflowease3622 5 місяців тому

      @@DamonCart Appreciate the reply! It clarified some things flr sure ...i feel that my job is to awaken the subconscious and as you say, you are relating and workimg with the subconscious in real time while conscious...bridging and integratimg both modalities to learn to truly have a mastery over ones life! Sounds awesome! I will keep up with this practice by learning more about it first...and than hopefully soon would be in a position to financially contribute to your services as i do believe now, what you and this community are doing is extremely valuable! ❤️
