    Is this the same room and instrument with Kevin Bobo's videos?

      Yes- this is professor Bobo's office at Indiana University. However, I think for his videos he plays on a much older (and much better sounding) malletech. When I was there, he had two in his office- his personal one and one for the school.

    I like your interpretation of the last bar. Can I ask where you got that from Gordon directly? I’m getting ready to perform this piece myself!

      I had the idea while messing around one day. On occasion, I like to take whatever piece I happen to be playing and do things like re-spell chords, put things in different octaves, etc. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. This, fortunately, is an instance where it does seem to work. I hope this helps, and good luck playing this piece for yourself!
