Steve, thanks for making it to Portugal! The Portugal series, thus far, has to be one of my all time top 5 abandoned explores on the web The architecture, furniture, colors, hand carved wood all have a beautiful mysterious but familiar magical old world gypsy feel to it. Definitely stands apart from other European countries. Super big thank you for this series! It rocks! 🙂 Yes, do more videos in Portugal!!!!
Never could understand why people would leave so much of their belongings behind, especially all the family photos and why hasn't anyone from the family come and collect any of the stuff. Just don't get
Well, my best friends great uncle was a millionaire and was also part of a gang. I can’t recall specifically what happened but him and his wife had to flee over night.. they took few clothing and few valuables. They did not have any children together but they both have passed away, his mansion has been abandoned and for couple of years people had a close eye on it to see whether or not he comes back but he never did. It had been untouched for either 20 or 25 years I can’t remember.
When you get very sick nothing matters but staying alive. Material items mean very little when you're dying. Sometimes you're too ill to get your trailer so you have to sell it at a discount. It's very sad but it happens, I know.
Steve, this was one of your best explorations ever. I was so glad it wasn’t destroyed with graffiti. The care and respect you show for all the properties you visit is impeccable. I really enjoy the passion you have for the architecture and the craftsmanship that went into making these homes a masterpiece of undeniable beauty.
Do you know any of the history of the house? It is a beautiful home. It’s strange how things were thrown on the floor in many of the rooms. It can’t believe how beautiful the architecture is.
Steve….Your work is amazing! I’ve been following you for 2~3 yrs now. You never disappoint. Thank you. This mansion is a time stand still. Beautiful and sad. Someone lived there for a very long time and raised their family there. It’s a shame the family isn’t interested in it. So sad a family who worked hard and made it a home and here it sits. Thank you! Looking forward to the next one! ✌️
It’s a shame that people go into these abandoned places trashing and disrespecting. I’ve been at abandoned places also seeing stuff tossed all over including a beautiful vase smashed to the floor. One place we went to my friends and I picked up paper tossed everywhere. Please if you’re exploring abandoned places respect the place… someone in the family does own the home and for some reason decided not to do anything in hopes the city or county will do something. Thanks Steve for respecting this beautiful home.
What a beautiful home. All of the furniture was so beautiful and the light fixtures are awesome. I love antique/unusual light fixtures and to rewire and rework them again. I can't believe some one would leave all the gorgeous furniture behind either. Thank you for another great video!
Such a lovely place…makes me want to totally clean it and put it in order! With so much paperwork scattered did you try to determine when it was last inhabited? Awesome video!
What a spectacular home, I can just imagine how beautiful it was in it's early days and before the vandalizers, made their way in and vandalized it! That's so sad to me 😟 but yes that home is a Amazing to me, I would have loved to live there 😌💗 And furniture is very unique 😉 I agree that was a great place 🏣 every part about 🧱🪟🛋️🛏️🪑 beautiful home 🏘️
Again, the chamber pots weren't just for elderly people. They were for everyone. They didn't have indoor plumbing. Or when the bathroom was too far from the bedroom and they didn't want to travel there at night if it was dark if it was cold if they were elderly as well. But many of them got used to using chamber pots before they had indoor plumbing.
This home is,for the most part, still structurally sound. Hopefully someone will try and preserve it....even though it obviously has a dark history. It's such a beautiful home. The architecture is amazing. Thanks for sharing.
Gorgeous house!! At 15:45, when you said you heard something, you can see shadows moving in front of the window at the end of the hallway. It is awesome to see so many things left intact and exactly how they were. Awesome video!!
Such beautiful things in this house such a shame they are left. I can never fully understand why all those lovely pictures are left as it’s family history great video Steve I enjoyed it very much x
Beautiful video! It is always a punch in the stomach to see such beautiful houses being left in ruins. From the paintings to the various images it is clear that it must have been a very religious family, the furniture and the various above furniture are beautiful, the vandals seem to have already passed. 👏👏👏🇮🇹
Love these old houses, the furniture alone tells a story. Such beauty and sadness inside those walls if they could talk. Love the way you video. Thanks again for sharing.
steve your videos are so down to earth so peaceful and you capture very special moment's of the past set in a time capsule. and the music goes perfect with it,
Loved this mansion, its amazing all the beautiful old furniture, photos etc, keep up the great explores, I love these abandoned ones, but also enjoy your haunted places too. Stay safe from Sth Australia.
If you notice the doors and paper work on the floor was like someone was looking for important documents, maybe a will, bank statements something of value. Look like the attic was the servant quarters. Back when these houses were were working homes the potty stand was for everyone because there was not plumbing bathrooms and also washing basins were in the bedrooms for all to clean before bed and morning to wash face, not just old people. This was a beautiful house in it’s time.
It’s a very beautiful and spacious mansion, very old and antique but very beautiful, you scared when you head a noise lol , this mansion is really big and time capture indeed specially the furniture it’s antique indeed , really love the dining room, couldn’t believe they left everything behind, seem like they have children and grandchildren so sad that they left the memories abandoned, thank you for sharing .
I've been told that property in Portugal and land remain in the family for generations without the fear of government taxes confiscating their rights of ownership after death. Here in the United States, the government forecloses on the property, for taxes. Most American families lose inherited property that way because the taxes are too steep. That's what happened to my great grandparent's farm in Catawissa, Pennsylvania. The government does not inform a family until it's too late and they take it over. I was wondering if there was any electricity still working. I know they keep it on in other European countries and never shut it off.
Hi Steve, Greetings from Malaysia! Love all your explorations - some give me the goose-bumps, some give me the scare, some give me a feeling of nostalgia, some give me good memories and some give me feelings of sadness... but they all give me the excitement and enjoyment of watching. Thank you for sharing. I smashed the "like" button, smashed the "subscribe" button and here I am giving my 5-cents comments....lol. Happy thanksgiving. 🥰
Being a Portuguese I can perhaps have a different vision of the things we've seen in this beautiful mansion. No one doubs they were a wealthy family and they had an incredible good taste. I believe that the African and Asian objects are related to the fact that Portugal had colonies overseas, and perhaps some of the family members could have been in those places for some time or were gifts from friends who had been there. The decorated walls were common in Portugal by that time in rich houses or those owned by the Nouveaux Riches. I myself lived in one of those houses and the walls were painted as to imitate marble. The small rooms in the attic were the servants' bedrooms. Great video Steve!
This is an amazing find so much beautiful furniture in mirrors and knick knacks and just everything you have the greatest discoveries just love watching you good work Ronin ❤️❤️
Love to watch these videos you share & how respectful you are when exploring. It is a huge shame everything is just left... its sad the sellable things cant be sold off, money given to Charities or hospitals rather than just left...it will left to rack & ruin otherwise. I also felt there was someone hiding upstairs...maybe a squatter...? But definately saw something move so i thought ...stay safe & good luck x
I've missed seeing you Steve. So this was a pleasure, music choice always lovely. You have such a respectful way of doing things. Beauty and the Beast my favorite story from my childhood. Much love to you young man. Be safe always. Bless you. Hope everyone starts feeling better soon.
Some of those rooms are stunning . Really incredible how everything was just left behind . There were some pieces that definitely could have been sold off at auction or to antiques buyers after the old people died and the family didn't want to keep the house .
Such a wonderful explore Steve. I appreciate how you show appreciation and respect for this house and all the explores you do. But, from the stuff pulled out and tossed about, someone has been in there looking for something. God bless you and stay safe always.
Didn't you notice how uniform all of the bedrooms up in the attic were, metal bed desk chair. Very basic - I belive they were for staff. I was hoping to see some bells.
This house is very old and it was filled with lots of love from the husband and wife and I like looking at pictures and all the antiques stuff. I really enjoyed it a lot.
Hello Steve, I love how you describe this great and lovely home and find it to be very clear. Actually, after watching the video, I think you are together with a girl and she sit beside the mirror. I don't know if you have a someone member a girl when u go in that house. So yeah just sharing and I always enjoy seeing your documents of old mansions, looking forward for your another video.
Are you sure no one is sleeping in this house? There’s no dust, the pillow looked purposefully placed. It looks like someone placed things on purpose to make you THINK they never left. Squatter? Thank you for being soooo respectful’. ( ps- you need to wear a mask wherever you go!!! )
Such a beautiful place! I can just imagine them walking around doing their daily business. Berlin has also some cool places, been in few of them. Great job! Best wishes from Finland❤
Can you just imagine how beautiful the house would be without all the vandalism .I like the dolls you think are creepy, they have different faces ,not like today's dolls Take care👍❤️🇺🇸
this home appears to belong to a Salvadoran or Spanish family, the mirror that you showed that looked what you thought to be Asian is actually styled to look like a hand held fan which was common for Salvadoran or Spanish during that time Era to use, not necessarily that they had an interest in Asian fans, madams would carry fans and use them in public at times. Pictures of family also suggest that ethnicity as well as the furniture. The bedroom on the first floor was used for sick family members, most wanted to be able to promptly remove the corpse once they passed but also make it easier for family & friends to visit before they pass. In it's day, this home would have been breath taking & full of life. loved this explore
23:00 the 4 season pictures of the ladies I have those!!!!! My oma and opa got them as a wedding gift in 1932 I've looked online for years never seeing them I'm so blown away!!
I'm not getting these in my feed but I'm subbed ! Ugh why would they mess with you that way ?! I have to come search for these vids. They don't show up. I thought I got unsubbed but no I just don't get notifications... Smh
I absolutely love this Mansion I love the old design woodwork I get so much into left every thing as the way they had it and lived and I am so much into the old furnitures and figurines and toys it's like I wish I could just gather everything up and sell this stuff get some use out of it instead of it going to waste or somebody comes in and damages everything or just knocks the whole building down with everything inside it's such a shame also just to see everything left it's like you wish somebody could take over these houses and mansions and stuff and just fix them all back up I wish you would do more paranormal investigations instead of just exploring
Steve the piece of furniture you said was a toilet is actually a Bidet. The bidet was born in France in the 1600s and was kept in the bedroom and dressing room as an item to use after the bedroom toilet. The initial bidet was like a four-legged stand with a ceramic or metal/tin washbowl that ladies would straddle it to wash their lower parts or there feet. At that time, the task of carrying water was very painful, but people in the upper class seemed to wash the lower body regularly using bidet.
those hangers looks like coat ones to me not real sure stev you put up really good videos every week love them all keep it up look forward to them coming
Glad you guys didn't explore on this place. The 1st time I saw a video of this house everything was in its place. Now you can definitely say people have been going through everything and trashing it. Still a beautiful house.
When walking up and down old houses, always walk-on the very edges, just in case the wood is weak & you don't fall or crack & fall. Very spooky creepy & beautiful at the same time.
So beautiful it's a shame poeple live it to root instead of donating it when it's still livable . It could be used a a breakfast in place and the money go to maintain it. Ffor mabey for honeymooners or just to get away! So sad. Some of the antiques can be auction off and used to repair it. It has valuable stuff there
I absolutely did not like those stairs either they just don't look right and they feel wrong . And I don't have a problem with stairs usually ... I mean , if you saw the elegant stairs in Ivana Trump's house , even though regrettably she had supposedly fallen down them , those were beautiful stairs .. The stairs here really just do not look right at all ... yes my first thought also they made me feel creepy
Sometimes older ladies, have those porcelain dolls for themselves. Personally, they've always creeped me out. I don't like them. But, I've taken care of elderly people, and some of them have those dolls for decor.

I think home owners leave in the middle of the night for various reasons…..huge unpaid bills, family disputes etc.
Absolutely I hear ya 😊

And the thing you said the elderly piss was actually a baby bath...
@@jerilynshirley2421 😂 no.
@@jerilynshirley2421 actually it’s a bidet.
This has to be my favorite exploration to date. Thank you for helping us see the world through your eye! Mad crazy respect

Awesome video! I would say this too has to be my favorite so far.
That place is awesome. It would be nice if someone could fix it up and record the progress on here as they go so we could see it.

Crazy so much history left behind
Yes if he would find out the history
thank you so much steve for another intro music and another vlog its been busy days here keep safe and godbless u always
Some rooms are pristine and loved. Others trashed and in a chaos. Not like robbery. This place is still alive.
What a gorgeous old home and all the furniture is beautiful so sad that it's just wasting away.
Another great video. Thanks Steve
This as great! As always!!
Once again an awesome video thank you so much 😊

Thank you from Montreal.
Thanks for watching!
Your work is amazing 🌹🤗
I would SO love to restore this!!!
Steve , you should have looked at the top of that chest that was locked 🔒. Plenty people would put the key on top . My grandma did!

Amazing bawat exploration mo steve👍 keepsafe guys🙏🇵🇭
Thank you Steve. This was really cool😊

Excellent ! Thank you.
When walking up and down old houses, always walk-on the very edges, just in case the wood is weak & you don't fall or crack & fall. Very spooky creepy & beautiful at the same time.
That thing you referred to that people pissed in, in the bedroom is called a chamber pot or commonly referred to as a slop jar.
Love this video buddy ❤
How old is that house, it's gorgeous
Awesome Mansion So Gorgeous 🤩😍🤩😍
So beautiful it's a shame poeple live it to root instead of donating it when it's still livable . It could be used a a breakfast in place and the money go to maintain it. The stairs gives me the creeps, I don't like stairs actually 😆😂
Everything else is okay but the creepy stairs.....eh..! no way.
I absolutely did not like those stairs either they just don't look right and they feel wrong .
And I don't have a problem with stairs usually ... I mean , if you saw the elegant stairs in Ivana Trump's house , even though regrettably she had supposedly fallen down them , those were beautiful stairs ..

Another great video x
