This was one of my Favourite movies as a teen. And still is when I need a good, bellyaching laugh. I remember watching it on DirectTV when it came out. My oldest brother recorded it and my whole family watched it one Sunday afternoon (my parents, all three brothers, and their girlfriends at the time). My mother thought it was stupid and went to her room half way through. But my dad, my brothers, and I were all dying laughing. 😂😂🤣🤣 One of my favourite family memories. So good.

this was the last truly great parody movie and it really deserves more praise over these crappy movies we have that are nothing more than reusing popular memes and current celebs who are easy to make fun. kung pow was the airplane of its time and is one of the greatest parodies of all time. :D
Johannes Aalto Yes! Black Dynamite is excellent. Definitely worthy to put beside Kung Pow. But sadly it's one of the few truly quality parody films to come out in recent years, if not the only one.

this was the last truly great parody movie and it really deserves more praise over these crappy movies we have that are nothing more than reusing popular memes and current celebs who are easy to make fun. kung pow was the airplane of its time and is one of the greatest parodies of all time. :D

I kind of agree, but I'd recommend Black Dynamite as well. Especially if you enjoyed the 70's Blaxplotion films in any way :)
Johannes Aalto Yes! Black Dynamite is excellent. Definitely worthy to put beside Kung Pow. But sadly it's one of the few truly quality parody films to come out in recent years, if not the only one.
This movie was drop dead hilarious when I was a kid and still is. Very thankful the creators made this movie for us.

I loved this movie, bought the DVD! My teenage son and I laughed so hard and then we were quoting crap from this show for about a month, lol. We drove my wife nuts!

I can't believe how poorly this movie got rated....I died laughing from Beginning to End...... TRULY a UNDERRATED MOVIE!
If you notice, the critics view it very low because they felt like it was the worst kind of humor. The people who watched the movie rated it higher.
The critics can shove those reviews up their dirty holes! This movie pulled off the "dumb yet funny" comedy too well!
Because critics don't know their head from their asses and generally have different opinions from regular movie goers.
Sadly I laughed my ass off watching this movie at the theater but I did see several people walk out complaining.

I was super into Kung fu movies when I was a kid. I saw drunken boxer and just became obsessed. My parents let me rent this movie from blockbuster in like maybe 2005 or 6 or something. I didn’t get any of the jokes at all yet because I was still so young.
Rewatching it as an adult was so fucking funny and one of the hardest times I had ever laughed in my life. A criminally underrated comedy
FINALLY I FOUND THIS MASTERPIECE!!! Thank you Lord from above! I've been looking for this since the early 2000s when I was like 7,8,9,10 and I'm 23 now lol. This movie was always in my mind but i never knew its name. At last I found Kung Pow! And the World Cup started ah yeah!!

I honestly can't wrap my head around why critics hated this movie so much. It's fucking HILARIOUS, literally every scene has me laughing so hard I can barely breathe.
