My kids and I loved this movie. They knew most lines. During a Boy Scout training weekend, the movie was shown and almost all of the scouts could recite the lines. Why was this movie not considered popular?
This got quoted a ton in my troop. I can remember countless times when we’d be out in the middle of the woods and someone would say “let me know…if you see…a radio shack”
When it came out and I was a kid I thought the cow fight scene looked really, really bad and it soured me from ever wanting to watch the film. Then at like 22 I randomly watched it and realized how stupid I was because even though the cow fight is pretty meh overall the movie itself is brilliant. I understand why not everyone would like it, especially back in the 90s or whatever, but something like this now fits right in with the humor of the time
At that moment I had two choices, A: Dodge the claw and counter with a roundhouse back kick. B: Take the claw too the face, roll on the ground and die. (claw comes in) (Thump) Should've gone with A!
How could you forget the part where the guy says "Master Pains's meeting with mayor" in his southern accent then The Chosen One responds with a suppressed and unnecessarily long growl?!! 🤣 That's probably the funniest dub in the whole movie!
This movie will never not be funny. I played the scene where Master Tang gets out of bed in a COD lobby and the whole lobby started laughing. It's the best and it brings back so many great memories associated with this. I love my fellow Kung Pow watchers. It takes a certain kind of humor to enjoy this so I know that you're all special if you're here. 😅❤
Watched this as a kid and it instantly became my favorite movie. For so long i thought this was an actual normal movie but someone just dubbed it wrong for fun. But now that i see this again i realise it was not an actual normal movie since theres literally a kung fu cow, a 1-boobed woman and frigging Mufasa in it. Hilariously stupid, becuase it is a paraody meant to be stupid, but the writers did an excellent job and it came out hilarious. Stupidly hilarious in my opinion would just mean something is very hilarious. Like if someone lands a very difficult skate trick and someone else says "that trick was stupid crazy".
I grew up watching golden harvest and chow brothers movies. I loved em. When i saw this I was high as a kite and I was laughing the whole time. The editing was flawless.
