The hardest point though is where to get in. Historic trendiness are easy to make…..how to use them too get in is another story. I'm wanting to get into this, but no idea how I can practice with paying for a platform
Try paper trading so you can try without risk (imaginary money).

@@benlittlechilds1192not free but trading view does have a replay feature. Let someone else rewind it for you so you aren’t seeing what moves were made and practice. It’s like 14/month to practice.
There are a bunch of ways to get in for free.
I think the first place I saw paper trading was on investopedia. They let you set up an account and make your trades on a paper account.
If you want to be old-fashioned, you can always use pen and paper. Just start a trading journal and list the ticker symbol, the date and the price. On the left side of the page, just record the close out date and the price.
Just remember paper trading isn't the same as regular trading. Your emotions hit harder when there's money on the line.
@@benlittlechilds1192it wouldn’t hurt to do a little research, your going to have to if you want to get into trading. Searching ur question on UA-cam would have given you this answer but anyways - basically any trading platform will have a demo account option, set your leverage to 1:100 and set how much “money” you want in your account. You’ve got a lot of work to do, let’s get on with it.

Anyone can pull up a chart that is trending and draw a trend line in hindsight. My 7yr old can do that.

Hard part is knowing if its real reversal or fakeout. Thats what gonna take years to master. Your taking trade where it works or fails. So u gonna need to know to control risk.
If you learn to control risk, then you don't really need to master it to be successful. But you're right
Just follow the trend
It's mostly just a fakeout. As long as it's still at major support or resistance, the trend is still on. If it breaks a major support or resistance zone with a trend line break at the same time, then only the trend could shift.

It’s not that complexed. The market will trend however it wants, you just have to move with it. Think of it as a contract long a year out on SPY. You’ll make money because of the trend. The economy. As long as the economy is good the trend trends and the trend line or moving average or higher low or even order block is respected. It’s simple but not many traders will get to understand.

But how do you decide when to actually enter the trade? What’s your definition of a trading break? Stop loss?
Typically you wait for a body break, but it depends on the chart. Some charts will have "fake breakouts" where price will break and come back down for a retest.
So your SL should essentially be below the previous swing point (high/low).
Also, you need to calculate your risk (lot size) based on the timeframe you are trading on. If you're swing trading on a 4H or Daily, you would have a massive SL. So make sure to keep that in mind.

What time frame in your opinion hold more value to support a trendline for longer.
Higher time frames are better 4h, 1h for example
2h, 4hr, Daily with the Heikin Ashi candles. If you swing you’ll thank me later. Every candle will tell you if you should hold and respects trendlines as much as you’re looking for.
But you open in favor of the line or when it's broken or both

How much capital do you use?
But isn't it possible that the stock grows slower than the trend line, meaning that it will go past it? Would you sell at that point, even if it keeps growing? Also, how would you draw trend lines, before knowing where the market would go? Because your example is of past performances in the market. Thanks.
A Trendline is only drawn after price gives you a minimum of 2 swing points.
If you don't know what swing points are, learn about trends first, what makes an uptrend, downtrend, consolidation.
The more touches you have for a Trendline, the better it acts as a support/resistance. But that also means that when price breaks that Trendline, you have a chance to enter a breakout trade.

The trendline is just a perception, all tools are perceptions to understand what the market is doing. The line makes people see the trend better. If it goes past but goes back in trend that’s still in your favor because it didn’t invalidate it by having an actual reversal. Think of them as a manual moving average. If they actually break you get out.
