@ARMYALEX1869 That would have been awesome, that's kind of what I was expecting too with the dark magic and different dorm factions. The only benefit of being evil is asking for more money from quests or keeping the items instead of returning them I beleive too.
@@nijulhefner1113 yeah it's honestly kinda underwhelming. they could have done things like whether you choose evil/good will give you access to a different set of spells. for example being evil you can choose to defeat enemies by killing them, while being good you can defeat them by stunning them or something. this is how infamous second son did it and i really enjoyed it. it felt like my choices actually has consequences. like how being evil would make civilians scream in fear and run away from me when i walk past, and even if i save them they'd still be terrified of me. that's the kind of consequences we need in hogwarts legacy.
I've just finished the boss fight and went straight up here to check, where is my unlimited power from the "keep this power for myself" option. Tbh. I'm really disappoited. I expected bigger drama around it than just making Fig a bit upset before his french kiss with big ahh rock.
People are complaining about a lack of consequences, it’s not only a game, but it’s about following a script, and it’s also about the lore differences.

I chose the option to open it and didnt regret it really. That power can't be there forever. It's too dangerous cause everyone know where it is. It should be opened and the wizards/witches should learn from it. However apparently it didnt matter what choice you made cause nothing really happened afterwards...

But I chose to keep the magic because story wise it makes sense. and the keeps the whole time felt so manipulative and Sebastian was right in a sense. Why can’t I take the power and use it for good? It would have been nice to at Weald that power after the game. Maybe smoke powers like other dark wizards or an extra finishing spell. Something….

Well, considering that Isidora became a power hungry emotion-vampire who started turning people into emotionaless, comatose husks... kind of hard not to be in the keeper camp. It's pretty clear in-game that she didn't truly understand the magic she was using and that the magic was addictive (draining other people's emotions would give the caster feelings of euphoria). Wanting to keep the magical byproduct of cursed ancient magic under lock and key is a hard thing to construe as bad.

It seemed that she wanted to find a way to harness the ancient magic in a way that would help others. I think that is better than just sitting on the ancient magic and doing nothing with it, as it seemed the other keepers wanted to do. Perhaps it would have been a better option if, instead of just rejecting Isadora’s inclination to help others, all the keepers would have worked together to try to better understand the ancient magic and see if there was a way to harness it to help others. I think they could have found a way to use the ancient magic for good before it escalated into taking people’s pain away. And perhaps if they did find a way, instead of keeping it a secret, they possibly could have trained others on how to use the ancient magic for good too, so that the knowledge didn’t die with them. Just a thought. I’m bummed out that we weren’t able to see the impact of the choices.

In the cutscene, you can clearly see he inhales it. But that's it. He is still the same afterwards. Then what did him inhaling it do? Nothing???
I played this game immediately after Witcher 3 and the dialogue choices and the impacts of those choices constantly disappointed me. The dialogue in this game is essentially meaningless. In the Witcher 3 it has real consequences. I hope someone releases a game with the attention to detail of the Witcher 3 again someday. Instead of just a cash crap with no depth
I agree with you. I think keeping the power contained, even if temporarily, would allow more time for the character and others to decide what to do with the ancient magic. I think, in general, it’s good to develop a plan before executing ideas. If the power was just released by the character, then it could potentially create chaos if the character didn’t understand how to control all the power at once in that moment and how it might affect them.
SOOOOOooo.... I wanted to go for the bad choice and have the power, but after Fig tried to talk me out of it I chose to be good and Fig died... what about the bad choice? Does Fig still die?
yeah you just don't get the ending of him on the floor, he basically never appears again and the wand is on the floor. and your left confused when Prof Wesley starts talking about Fig dying when you don't even see it if you choose the bad ending....
i had 3 options for some reason, but 2 of them do the same thing, one is just a harsher way of putting it. i dont see others talking about it and so im confused. you didnt have the 3rd option, why?

I was disappointed with good ending.I did all the work and Fig got all honors. Atleast with evil end I got rewarded getting that power.
