I remember playing Orion with these mechanics. There’s nothing like having 15 armies across the map for only a few grand in upkeep. So much fun.

Would not have guessed Orion for your next campaign but I'm 100% up for a "fight all the things" world-trotting cavalry fest! Nice to hear you enthused for the game as well.

Hello! There are 2 types of forest encounters:
The timed ones - they happen on turn 2 and when you do a ritual.
The non-timed ones - I feel these are set on turn times because I play Drycha a lot and she doesn't start with the oak of ages and I get the non-timed forest encounters for other forests as time goes on... time.

I don't know for sure but it does seem around the same times set encounters trigger.

The High Elves would also make a decent candidate for Cavalry heavy armies because the Princes has a lord trait (Dashing) that buffs Silver Helms and Ellyrian Reavers, which can be further buffed by either a Noble of Handmaiden with the Crushing trait.
The High Elves are probably one of the best races for creating "meme stacks" because the higher influence cost traits of the Prince and Princess buff certain units, the only downside is that you have to farm influence to get them.
You can of course cheese the influence system by using the save and load character system because character loaded into a different campaign do not cost influence.
All the hardships of clothes pegs.
I love your playthroughs of Warhammer! Fun to watch and since i'm quite new to the game i feel like i learn something new watching this, so this will be another great campaign to follow.
My poor beastmen. First GW kicks them out of the Realms and now Janet is slaughtering them.

I love playing Orion because of how deadly his cavalry is, but at about turn 50 your armies cost about 100 gold each.
So then you have 20 armies and turns take an hour (i know this is a choice but it just _happens_)
So I’ve never actually finished the campaign.
Literally wanted to play a cav WE campaing, cheers!

A great note to return on! Very curious to see what an all-cav army looks like. Seems like it would be very micro intensive.
The micro intensity is what I used to love about it back when this used to be a multiplayer channel. I used to be one of the only people on ladder who would even attempt it so I almost never lost a match. It’s basically the only army comp that benefits from clicks per minute so it was always great for knocking the rust off if I hadn’t played in a few days :)

I do think recruiting a 2nd lord turn 1 so you can recruit some more units is the way to go

Thousands of them, actually. All over the internet. And at the homes of most of my audience. You can’t move for Tamurkhan or Elspeth campaigns right now.
This game has a ridiculously silly and obtuse way of handling stats, doesn't make any sense why they went this route.
