Thanks Gabor and Alex for demo-ing this pedal. Reminds me a bit of the variac function on MXR's Super Badass Variac Fuzz, but perhaps more spitty/glitchy at the extremes.
The treble switch sounds like it changes it from silicone to germanium. The crush switch almost sounds like it adds a subdecay to the dying signal. I wonder if the onset potentiometer has a trim pot you can dial back to get rid of the warble on the sustain? Have you guys opened the pedal up at all? Pretty cool pedal, my brother’s distributor just picked up Fairfield Circuitry so I’m checking out all their pedal demos. Great demo showing the functions of this guy!
This pedal destroys linear playing. It superbly replicates this effect (timestamped at beginning of John McLaughlin's guitar solo): ua-cam.com/video/5LbMSP0s7Dc/v-deo.html The recording was a chop 'n mix post-production job by Teo Maceo using layers of guitars and obvious panning. Been using this favorite fuzz for noise projects since 2017. I have # FU711.
I have a $17 Mosky Fuzzface clone thats sort;ve broke and only works maybe 2 days out of the week, but it does that ring mod/fuzz/octave thing when its having a good day, and also does that gated thing too where it does that farting out/cuts in and out... but I THINK its broke... and i want to cry when it doesnt work. When I pair it with a Tubescreamer it does a similar thing.. turning the tone all the way up does the "Treble Booster" thing... Id totally get this if it was more in my price range :( if I could get it for maybe $100
Every popular, commercial ,music act needs at least two FFC pedals on their boards;~ Like the creepy guy here in the States used to say,- " Make it work"
Since Gabor likes ad-lib farts, you guys should check out one of Rainger FX's many Dr. Freakenstein pedals! They have a bunch of variations, but they're all gated fuzzes!
Thanks J. De Metsenaere ...all standard tuning...I think the Carvin/Kiesel was tuned down a semitone to Eb...and then I drop tuned it to drop C#...but no alternative Tunings
I enjoy hearing pedal demos in which the player plays very well and just allows the pedal to do the talking. Thank you, guys!
I was trying to choose between this and the 900 fuzz. Now I am sure I want this one. A nastier fuzz in a good way
So damn cool. The dialed in tones are the best of any of the videos I've seen for this pedal. Holy f'in smokes.....

You guys deserve a ton more subscribers and likes. And Fairfield makes killer stompboxes bordering to the ridiculous, in the best way.
Thank you Lars
surprisingly versatile for a pedal that only has two knobs! sounds like a fuzz I might actually gel with.
The switches are the big difference.
You don’t usually hear you guys say “wow” quite this much. Must have made an impression.
Damn. This thing is awesome
Nice demo! That fuzz is wild
sax player here wondering if you’ve tried this one out on horn...i think it’d be wicked!
We are doing a series of videos with a Sax player...this one will be in the next video for sure
Haha!! You're welcome. Cool demo!
Wow, crazy cool pedal -I really like it!!! 😍 Thank you for the demo 👍
Thank you Alena C

The ones I played were all great...I need more in my life!!
@@TSFAHTPS I've got the Drive, the Fuzz , and the Delay, - all in a nice, unfinished, silver row...
Would you recommend putting this before or after an input buffer?
Probably before

Noisy pedal goes with the noisy chairs
The chairs came with the pedal
I love the demo, man. If I may ask, is it in standard tuning or an alternate tuning?

Lol just play through a blown amp with some shitty cables and save your $$$
Band meeting please.
That pedal.
Not pleasant at all on the ears.
As the name says. 😄
On ya fellas.
But no thanks.
