I lived an hour away from LA where he was taken down by citizens who took their streets and neighborhoods back, so proud of them! I lived 20 minutes away from his last murder. I was only 11 years old, my parents decided that my sister (age 13) and I would sleep in the same room with them so we could be together and also take him down since there is strength in numbers! This was the first time I realized that there was evil in the world, my sister and I were terrified! My parents didn't leave us alone at night, and turned down any social obligations so we could hunker down for the night. We were so happy when he was finally captured, we breathed a collective sigh of relief! I am mad the killer got to die peacefully in a warm hospital bed on a morphine drip due to cancer, he didn't give his victims any mercy. He had a merciful death when he should've been executed! 😡

He ran across backyards and was chased by the people there. He was placed in a cell by himself and used to cower in the corner whenever the officers opened the door to feed the monster. He was terrified of what the other prisoners would do to him. He was a drug addict.

They didn't show or give details about Ramirez. He ain't Bundy, Dahmer, Son of Sam.His tv specials focus on the detectives and the victims. Not how he seemed so normal or what happened. But they did a damn good job of making him come off as a villain. Especially the hotel scene before he goes out killing.

Very well done movie. I remember Mr. A. Martinez from the 80s soap Santa Barbara unless Im wrong and it was another one. He was hilarious in the made for TV movie She Devil also starring Roseanne Barr etc.. I would highly recommend To Catch a Killer (1992) starring Brian Dennehy, The Deliberate Stranger (1986) starring Mark Harmon and Deadly Intentions (1985) starring Michael Biehn. They're all made for TV movies that are about real dangerous people. Deadly Intentions was not* about a serieal killer but he seemed very sociopathic and terrorized his poor wife.

A woman who marries a cop should be prepared to marry the job not just the man. They knew what they were getting and should not pretend they didn't and that's a fact. I feel any partner that starts putting pressure on their cop mate and takes things out on them blaming the job and the partner is being unfair and leaving them is even worse if they didn't want the job they should have married a office boy because you can't have it both ways. Don't date or marry a cop if you are not prepared to marry all parts of the officer.
