I am soo sorry to hear that, I cannot even imagine what you and your family have gone through. Yes, please fight for justice for your beloved sister.
I wished I did, far too late now because the man that killed her is dead. I do not think I could have proved it anyway. I think it ate at him his entire life. God forgive him, and I know my sister has forgiven him. I could not imagine that guilt or pain on anyone's conscious.
Finally, justice is served for Phil and his loving family, who never gave up.
It literally made me cry. 😢 We should never ever give up on our loved ones. Be there for them, Love them, listen to them before they are gone. ♥️

The actress that played LeAnn was so wonderful. So talented. She brought me to tears several times she played such an emotional part. She was just great. This is a sad story. I felt so bad for the family and what they all had to endure. I am so in awe of the sister who worked so hard for the truth. A very brave woman who actually put herself in danger when staying at Helen's house after she realized that Helen killed Phil. Great movie but sad too.

Those who are fortunate to have a sibling will appreciate the love and devotion that Lee-Anne had for her brother Philip. She fought like a dog with a bone to discover the truth about her brother's death. The story, the acting...the script, music etc. were done beautifully.

It is rare to find such brilliant movies these days, very compelling true story.
I have to praise the acting of both Catherine MCrae and Aidee Walker in this.
They captured the raw passions and emotions of the story, not to mention the uncanny resemblance to the real life characters.

A long and difficult fight for Lee-Anne to get justice for her murdered brother and she did it. A well acted portrayal of the determination and agony she and her family endured. Good movie, well worth watching.

Lucky to a brother who have a smart sister who prove the world about fighting what was thruth. This movie is worth watching for.
Lee Ann is a brave sister even though the police did not do their job to investigate,as a sister she's doing her part and i salute her smart move.
Police department have numerous number of cases so they won't handle em all, some are meant to be dropped due lack of evidence. Remember we can't focus on 1 case out of hundreds 😭

I would also like to thank the Directors for presenting this film in a respectful manner. Often times Hollywood likes to sensationalize such actions with gory details. Though he is with the Angels, I'm certain that Phil would approve of how the surrounding facts were delivered. Rest in Peace my good man ...
Her determinations and diligence gave her Brother final peace. His spirit was long her side the whole time. Justice indeed was served at it's best.

This was so realistic... having studied narcissism for my own reasons one of the tell tale signs is they tell you what they are doing often by accusing others like that scene in the cafeteria at work telling her work buddies about her husband putting tons of sugar in her food and than in the same breath talking about procuring rat poison.. brilliant movie and also the sister reacting so profoundily and so normal under those circumstances.. thanks for this. Some great acting in this film. The endless frustration Phil's sister had to endure to get justice done and the cruel, cold, calculating wife who was so sure of herself were so realistically portrayed.

That was really a superb movie. I found it a little difficult to figure out who belonged to which family but other than that, it was superb. What an incredible sister Phil had! It’s a very inspiring story of loving perseverance. ❤️

Lucky to find this amazing movie in real life..my mom died in 1955 i was only 7yrs old..until now i am 76yrs old i firmly believed my mom was murdered ..poisoned..after her death i along with my sister n brother went thru hell..ty for this movie justice has been served..

It’s amazing how much work it takes to motivate the wheels of justice to turn. Its not a wonder so many take the law into their own hands. This lady was practically handing the cops enough probable cause to haul Helen in for questioning. What else did they need, to have it all gift wrapped?
I know, right. Disgusting. Not much difference with Europe. (I witnessed very close to firsthand how they bungled and subsequently dismissed the investigation into a suspicious disapperance and death.) And then to learn they actually have officers go ''undercover" pretending to be violent protesters at peaceful corona government policy protests -it makes you wonder why the heck we still have them. I mean, I know to implode a country you must, among others, shut down law enforcement and I'm sure some cops are honorable, but, my goodness, they're doing a perfectly great job getting folks to loathe them.
I have a question if you pls can tell. I am from Thailand so my English isnt good enough to understand well some scenes . Why the police and the lawyer of the 1st team refused or said different from Leanne and her dad in the court? Were they working on Helen'side?
@@bannarak3949 Helen made a second "suicide note" without the signature so Lee-Anne could not use it to prove the signatures didn't match.
This was a B movie it could of been way better 😉🤣 if the script was written a bit better.

What an emotional film! I thought the case would be dropped after Leeann spilled the beans to her sis-in-law. She was really in alot of emotions trying to get evidences, talking to people of the law. Leeann was a brave woman. Kudos to her bravery.
I know that LeAnn was stressed out but I have to admit that sometimes she made the case harder to deal with by some of the reckless things she would say when her emotions got out of control. 😮😮😮
Even though it is a sad story it was greatly told. Blessings to all the family and the film crew. I am glad Lee-Ann got her calling through the tragedy. I am sure she has helped many.

Watching from Canada, I loved everything about this movie. Amazing realistic acting by everyone. The actress who played Leeanne was extraordinary. The production first class. The story unfortunately was true and that it is sad, but the movie was inspirational in that justice can be achieved.
A really touching movie about a sister's love for her brother. I hope that if anything had to happen to my siblings or family I would be able to get justice for them like this and honour their lives. May not be a Scorcese movie but it was engaging and full of heart and love for Phil. Rip Phil.

SO SO glad that Helen was caught. Well done Leanne, I'm sure that your brother Phil in heaven is finally at peace. Helen was sentenced for 17 years or so but Phil's family, his parents, brothers and sister, son have been sentenced to a lifetime of grief.

Yeah it's obvious to anyone with empathy how cruel and unfair this evil world is. All the stuff that goes on that doesn't get spoke about because it spoils peoples idea the world is a beautiful show of sunshine and butterflies.
Running amok taping and pillaging then if the victim tries to report it they get threats from the perpetrators group of friends they've all associated together with like interests 'to bully and get away with it'

i enjoyed this film and went through the emotions as she did, the police were crap even after she provided them with so much evidence that she went out of her way to get, something they should have done. Im glad that the last officer saw it the way LeeAnn did and helped her.
The family, especially the sister, showed amazing persistence. My blessings are for them in their healing process. I would hate to have my loved murdered so heartlessly.

She not only murdered him, she assassinated his character with outright lies after she murdered him. So glad she was caught and convicted.
I know right. Her description about him being strung up and abusive toward her.....she was talking about herself. Evil woman!! Her own son stay away included parents and whole family.

This was a good fact based story..which sadly occurs far too often..never let anyone get cremated till cleared..
My friend was cremated they opened the box to sling her ashes instead of just buring the box there was big as your fist white rocks instead of ashes her wish was to be scattered on side of her family grave.

There are so many angles to comment on this movie. I could say one thing though. The justice system process here is a lot more realistic than fictional stories. You are just left speechless on how it was Lee-Anne who did the police work and the lawyer's work as well. I see a very inspiring side of the story and that is about how solid the family is.
