Yoo absolutely insane I just ordered my plugs a few days ago, they just got here and I was looking for a refresher on the job. Then this comes out! Thanks man your downpipe install video helped a ton as well, my f82 is a blast to drive now
To prevent the spark plug socket rubber boot from sticking to the spark plug just use dielectric grease on the inside of the boot. Has plenty of retention for the job but doesn't get stuck on the plug especially when installing your new plugs. Hope that helps someone out there.
Was doing this job on my N55 this weekend , the plugs were on very tight and were squeeking as i was removing them. Eventually number 3 snapped in half during removal , with one peice stuck in head. Thought i was royally screwed. Fished it out with an extractor and all was good .Low mileage car and this was my first spark plug change , service records show one prior plug change at the dealer
Thanks! , don't think I've ever felt relief like that. Right when the plug broke I started computing the costs in my head , cylinder out = purchase n55 timing tools and other special tools I might need , purchase various gaskets , purchase various one time use bolts , purchase bmw tis subscription...phew 😅
Hey bro i did spark plug, ignition coils, and fuel injectors, as well as compression test but my car is still misfiring any ideas before i swap the engine?

Hey, wanted to say Thank you for your.. How To Replace BMW E46 Rear Window Regulator. Video help me get the FIX done nice and easy.. THANK MAN.. 👍
Very nice DIY guys. Thanks for sharing. Dutch regards Nico.
Thanks Nico!!
Did you disconnect the battery?
have you done the crank hub?
also the charge cooler tends to leak coolant
Not on my F80 yet, will be filming a DIY on it so hopefully soon. Charge cooler leak is common, you will have your coolant disappear little by little
Are the oem bosch plugs the same as the bmw ones for the f80?
what were the part number on those O-rings?
