I have the large one. In theory, it's a great idea. My experience with it is not as expected. 1st, when I put the 2 pieces together, it's hard to connect. And very difficult to separate. The battery covers do not stay on. Since it takes 9volts , they just fall out. Unfortunately, the 1st time 1 got to use it , it was past the return window. I now use it basically as a square guide and the laser light distracts my cat when she is bugging me when I'm trying to create. Lol
nannette storey I have to agree!! I pulled mine out after the return window or I would have sent it back! The laser line is clearly NOT straight on mine and I can’t tweak the knob like Alexandra did on this small one! VERY disappointing!!! It’s ok if you’re close to the sides, but as you get further out on your scrapbook page, it takes a slant!!! Mine takes up space in a cabinet more than in use!!!
I have the large one too. I feel it was a waste of money. The battery covers won't stay on, the batteries last only a very short time. I am very disappointed in it. Wasn't worth the money, and I waited to long to take it back. I don't think I want to spend money on the smaller one.
I bought one years ago from QVC before they abandoned the crafter. It is 12X12 an has lasers that go both ways. But the width of it is only 5 inches or so. Like a paper trimmer it has an arm that retracts. Great for lining up scrapbook layouts. I like my WRMK stamping platform for lining up stamps. I got it from HSN and it works like the Misti and Tim Holtz. And it was only $19.99. Happy Crafting.
I am a lefty and I do struggle to keep my writing lines straight but they would have to come up with a left handed version for me to be interested. It's appears a bit gimmicky for it to take up valuable space in my craft room aka hoard.
I got one at Walmart on close out for $10 so I think it will be handy. I also got the big one at hobby lobby for $20. It was a bugger to put together but like the laser I’m one of those who likes it spot on
I have a laser that was meant for hanging pictures. It is small and it has a piece that sticks out (where you would put a nail). I place that edge under my grid paper and line up the laser with the lines. Then I can write in a straight line. I just move the laser down as needed or move the cardstock instead. It’s perfect for writing in your handmade cards. It came free with a pack of Hercules hooks ( the best item I have ever used for hanging pictures). I have only used the laser for crafting. Lol
I like the concept of the smaller one. For cards, it doesn't really need the line in both directions for me. I've had the larger one for at least a couple of years. The large one has been out for about 3 years and there is a laser in both directions.
I have the large one and, yes, it’s large. I also ordered the small one but immediately sent it back. Having to keep adjusting the arrow drove me nuts. Hopefully, they will go back to the drawing board and create a more stable one.
Far too much fuss. This could be beaten just by having a piece of card with two slits and an elastic thread tied on it! I actually designed and made my own matting system kit because I am so bad at lining up mats! If you are interested in seeing what I did, have a look at my Gismo Design playlist.
I have the larger version . The two sides come apart so I actually use it for hanging pictures on the wall by having my husband hold it and shoot the laser beam across where I want the pictures to go. One of the sections drains the battery if I leave it in so I have to remove it when I am not using it. It does work for layering cards but since purchasing the MakeArt magnetic board that Ranger makes I seldom use the laser board any longer. I use the MakeArt board daily for layering as I can use the magnetic ruler to lineup the layers perfectly. Nice idea but not as practical as I hoped for adding layers to my cards. It is nice for positioning words though. I think when it came out the large version was around $80... a sizable investment. A carpenters laser would probably be just as practical and less expensive.
Seems a bit fiddly and gimmicky. It's really not that hard to line things up using a grid mat, it's a lot faster, and a lot cheaper. This is easy: It's a PASS.
I have the big one and I love it for titles on scrapbook pages.
They have a larger version with lasers going horizontal and vertical FYI. It takes up a lot of space so not sure if that will be helpful.

I was a bit starstruck when I met you at the Brutus Monroe Anniversary party. I hope you had a good time!
Not something I would buy. Prefer to spend my money elsewhere. Thanks for demonstration! 💓

👎 Too much adjusting to line it up. Can't beat a stamping platform. Thx for sharing, but that's a pass.
Thanks for sharing! Probably a miss for me. I am like you, I would like a laser going the other way too!

Wow, I love your idea! Writing in a straight line is always such a challenge for me.
Your hair is so beautiful!!!!
Your hair looks fantastic!
ok did anyone else think misti 2.0 imagine if they incorporated a laser!
A fabulous idea! My Sweet Petunia, are you listening?!
Great idea, but pricey enough already.
What is that reusable sticky paper called? I was unable to hear it properly.

Whats a sticky grid?
A Sizzix product. Repositionable double sided adhesive sheets printed with grid. Handy when die cutting.
A definite pass for me. Too much trouble. Thank you for sharing! 💕🙋♀️
I think you should start designing your own tools, Alexandra....that was a great idea having the laser along the top and side! TFS
Thank you.
Thanks for the review. I'll stick with a T-Square as it's much cheaper.
Not for me, I have a Misti as well as a t- ruler, pencil and eraser. Thank you for sharing it.
Over 30 bucks for that little thing? Thanks, I'll eyeball it, lol.
Edit: It would be nice for the writing line idea, but not at that price.

Really!?! I’ll stick my Misti. Not worth the price point for all that adjusting!
Thanks for sharing. I think I will pass on this.
Too much work for me!😜
Hello big like 173 thanks for this good upload see you later
What a waste of money. A t ruler or omnigrid is so much cheaper.
