I'm SO impressed that this is sold as a solo cabin! I've only ever seen the solo Studio cabins onboard NCL ships, so this is an absolute WIN for all of us solo travellers! Thanks for showing us this one, Zach!
That little stool beneath the vanity/desk has a hard topper that can be removed. With the topper on, you can use it as a small table. If you remove the topper, it will be more comfortable as a seat. You can also use it as a footrest while seated on the sofa!!
Ok, I'm loving NCL. 😊❤😊 Solo traveler who really wants a balcony and prefers nice long Transatlantic cruises. I had 1 booked for the end of November and got a solo balcony cabin, on the Pearl ,so excited! Just looked again and there is are 3 more Transatlantic solo balcony cabins that work in my timeframe! I added one on the Encore at the beginning of November. I have Cruise Next credits burning a hole in my pocket, but the deals are THERE right now for solo balcony cabins if you can be flexible. Both with the Free at Sea. I love NCL for the fact that they have solo balcony cabins. They are the ONLY line that really GETS IT!😊❤😊
Sailed on the Joy in a balcony FL to CA via Panama Canal as a solo cruiser in '22. Well worth it. IIRC I was on deck 10. Exact same layout as yours. Loved it. Great vid.
Thank you for sharing. I enjoy cruising but stopped as a single person it was always a chore trying to find someone to go with me as I didn't want to pay double the price because it was just me so I stopped crusing. So glad NCL is offering solo cabins. I will be booking again. 😊
I’m on Joy in solo balcony cabin 12146 for the 2025 Seattle to Miami 21 night Panama Canal repositioning so your vlog was helpful. FYI to solo cruisers….You have to grab those solo cabins fast. They sell out so quickly on popular destinations….sometimes up to two years in advance.
You had mentioned in a previous video that there are only 3 outlets in the cabin near the phone. I believe there is a USB port on each of the bedside lights also.
I have booked a 15 day Miami to LA. cruise on this ship in this solo balcony cabin. I'm getting double Latitudes points, so it will put me into Platinum status. I'm looking forward to priority embarkation/disembarkation, two specialty dining credits and a free bag of laundry. No outlet by the bed, or anywhere on the same side as the bed is disappointing. I'm not a fan an extension cord tripping hazard across the room. Here's an odd question, is the ceiling magnetic? Maybe I can go up and over.
Do you ever ask your cabin steward to empty out the refrigerator to make room for your own stuff? It would bug the heck out of me to waste all that space on keeping things I’m never going to drink cold.
I just booked a solo cabin on the prima. I was going for a solo balcony but it was almost $2000 more than the regular solo cabin. Maybe because the prima is fairly new but I didn’t think it was worth that much more. I would like to stay in one but I’ll have to wait till prices go down.
I'm super excited! I booked this exact room based on your 1st video of this series...now Jan 2026 needs to hurry up and get here!! Thanks for the recommendation. Is there a solo lounge or a place for solos to get coffee?
Is that solo cabin separated within its own wing of the ship like the Prima where u need to keycard to get into the hallway like the solo studios. Does the solo stateroom your in give you access to the solo lounge?
@@ZachtheTravelingManNorwegian is a class act! I had sailed carnival and princess before I tried Norwegian. The difference is astounding! I loved my first cruise so much I bought the coupons for future cruises! And the solo cabins make it even better!

Very helpful, I'm travelling Solo on the Norwegian Encore, transatlantic, December, balcony!
Maybe we are on the same one. I am doing the same December 3rd to the 15th.

That's a huge room I would totally book that if I went solo.
I have stayed in NCL studio cabins twice but have a solo balcony booked on the Getaway in November and I'm super excited to try it out.
Thanks for the tour. I just booked for next year 😊
That's so exciting!
Got spoiled with a deluxe balcony on the new Sun Princess but this room for a solo is really a good size.

That's my room number for my next Joy cruise 😅
Thanks Zach! Looks like a good option for solo cruisers.
Wow so nice!!!
this looks nice! didn't see any USB but its a great option for solo's for sure
Another great cabin tour by Zach. Beautiful cabin for the single cruiser. I wonder how they are pricing these cabins?
I paid $1600ish for this one. It included an open bar package, 150 mins of WiFi, 2 specialty dinners, and $50 excursion credit per excursion.
You had mentioned in a previous video that there are only 3 outlets in the cabin near the phone. I believe there is a USB port on each of the bedside lights also.
You like this better than the Solo Infinite Verandas on Celebrity’s Edge class ships?
Yes! Much bigger.
How many square feet? How does it compare, dollar wise, to paying for a solo supplement in a regular double occupancy cabin?

All the time
You definitely can ask and they usually are more than happy to accommodate!
I had my frig emptied on my recent Celebrity cruise. It's a common thing to do and they don't mind
Every time.

I just sailed on Prima and LOVED it. You'll have a great time. Be sure to utilize the Studio (solo) lounge on Deck 12.

No designated solo lounge on this ship but plenty of places to get a good cup of coffee!
Whenever I try to search for the solo rooms on the website it’s so hard to find pricing!
It's impossible!
CruisePlum.com is great for finding good solo deals

No it’s not. And sadly there was no solo lounge on this ship.
Looks like just a regular balcony room. I'm sure thats not always used for solo.
What makes this a solo cabin? Looks like a standard 2 person cabin.
Zach that is a great solo cabin but I will never sail NCL and I have over 100 cruises sailed !
That’s too bad! I had a great time.
I'm just curious as to why? I've never sailed NCL so I'm just curious as to your reasons.
