I like how movie Thanos has these big goals of bringing balance to the universe and believes he’s doing a noble thing while comic Thanos ruins a random guy’s life every year because he thinks it’ll make his crush notice him
Genuinely Thanos is such a glow up in the movies. Turns out a villains pretty cool when you can actually understand his motives and they aren't a petty loser who's doing all these horrid acts just because he's a simp

@@raycom201 Problem is it's just really hard to care for him at all when he's like this. I get that they made him so purely evil for no reason so he would be hated, but I like how in the movie, It's a half and half where I kind of get his idea, but I don't side with it. Adds more depth I feel. I also just like intimidating villain figures like this who are calculated so meh.
I love how in the movies he's made out to be this morally gray vilain, but in the comics he's just petty.
He's not just petty hes just out ride disturbingly sadistic, if you had to chose between being on Thanos hate list, or being eaten alive by fire ants, you chose fire ants, cause Thanos would feed you to fire ants, save you before you die, then heal you back to normal, just to do it again. So at least if you chose fire ants you can say it only happened once.

If a girl you’re dating immediately believed you would say things like that to her behind a phone screen for no reason at all, and still not believe you when you try to explain that someone else took your phone and wrote that just to be mean then she has trust issues. Plus she told David that she hoped he DIED on his freaking birthday so clearly she wasn’t very mature either and deep down was pretty cruel. Thanos spared you David!
Impressing death wasn’t the reason for David’s torture it was because thanos was bored and torturing him gives him joy. This same series also has thanos help an old lady causing a girl who was meant to cure cancer in the future to never achieve that reality because thanos made her bus late by helping that old lady and then proceeds to show her what could have been seconds before she actually died. There’s also the time he went to a stuff animal world which all happen to be massive masochists so they enjoyed dying which turned thanos off since there’s no fun killing them if they aren’t suffering. Or that one time he went to some religious planet were they worshipped a god that granted them immortality and killed the god. He watched as they all went insane and started to attack each other after now having to deal with this existential crisis of their new found mortality. Thanos’s reason for their god was because he was curious and wanted to see their reaction.
P.S. Also thanos has left deaths side since 2018, death in the comic’s currently appears to be the one chasing after him now, oh the irony.
I wonder if David could tell the Avengers about his situation. Thanos is bound to visit him every year on a fixed date, that could be an advantage for his enemies.

@@Malam_NightYoru To be fair the Avengers are 100x more likely to take the idea of Thanos appearing more seriously than police when you say "I think someone's gonna mug me". On top of that, the Avengers have dozens of ways to confirm it, from Strange to their numerous methods of checking truth vs lies and even mind reading, they could absolutely confirm that it's been happening all the time and know it will probably happen again
I've lost count of how many UA-camrs I've seen cover this comic, but this is the first time I've seen anyone mention the death angle. They always just say Thanos did it just "because."

The whole concept of Thanos being just a simp for death is mostly the reason that I prefer the MCU Thanos, one of the last droplets of ichor of that train of movies and surely a greatly written villain. He might have fell a bit short in the end of endgame to some, but his death was nonetheless poetic.
