"so am I!" literally happened when my mom told everyone at our church that she was pregnant with me, another woman there was also planning to announce her pregnancy that day! And then a week later, another pregnancy was announced! We three kids were all born within a few months of each other, and so we've been friends our entire lives. Definitely not the thing to say if you aren't pregnant, but a pretty neat thing to say if you are!
I have an interesting story about the "falling asleep to continue a dream" thing.
Last night I had this strange dream about me and my friend talking and then a glass door behind us opening by itself. I made a joke that was like "it's a ghost cat" and then he said "the door opened too wide for it to be a cat" but we both silently agreed that it was a ghost cat. Then somehow I was reading a book that said "when the paint bucket fell, it hit a cat. The cat's last breaths were that day's." And the cat in the pictures looked very similar to the one we were picturing in our heads to be that ghost cat. It was light grey with a white face and medium grey stripes. It's eyes were kind of green and brown at the same time. I woke up then and I thought "that was a weird dream, but maybe if I could finish it it wouldn't be as weird." I fell back asleep thinking about the dream. It actually continued, but it was like it was a couple days later in the dream. I was scrolling on some app (probably UA-cam) and every video I saw had a cat shadow in the background, or at least something moved in the background by itself like a cat was playing with it. Every video I watched sent this weird chilling sensation in my legs and back, but only while I was asleep. When I woke up, I thought "that was really distressing, I don't want to finish that dream." The feeling was really weird and I didn't like it at all. I thought I might be cold, so I put on a hotter blanket. When I fell asleep again, I had the same dream. The same weird chill happened again, though I was able to wake up before it got too uncomfortable. I realized I wasn't cold because I was sweating when I woke up, so I took off the hotter blanket. When I fell asleep that time, I had the same dream again. Luckily I woke myself up before the chills got too bad and I fell back asleep fast. This time I didn't have any dreams. It was really weird
Tldr: weird ghost cat who died by being crushed by a lavender paint bucket haunts my dreams and gives me weird chills 3 times when I fall asleep.

When my husband told my MIL that I was pregnant she asked if this is what I wanted. I was in my 30's, (he was in his 40's) married with a stable job, home etc. and I had previously mentioned wanting kids. I still don't know what to think about that response.

The dumbest way I've been injured is getting a head injury from a safety board. A safety board is that hard plastic thing they put you on if they want to carry you after an injury kind of like a stretcher, but just the board part. I was at a party for my college's waterski team on a lake, we were hanging out in a covered dock, and the safety board was in the rafters. Someone was just reaching up and fiddling with the rafters for some reason and the thing dropped a few feet right onto my head.

how long works:
Each individual hair grows, falls out, and gets replaced. But the different hairs are not in sync with each other. If a hair is never cut, it will grow to a certain length, wait around for a while, then fall out. But when it falls out, there's another many many hairs that are similar length and which are not due to fall out for a while. This is why the overall hair can stay long.
This unsynchronized growth is also why hair gets thinner as it gets toward the end. Hair lengths are going to be roughly uniformly distributed between just starting and max length. However, the thickness at a given point of the hair is the number of hairs that reach or exceed that length. At a point near base of the hair, almost all of the hair goes past that point, so the base is thick. At a point near the tip of the hair, very little of the hair goes past that point, so the hair is thin at the tip.
Cutting hair is like hiding the hair beyond a line. It can make hair look thick because it was cut at a point in the hair where the hair is naturally thick, but as the hair grows and the cut line moves down, it will get thinner just like how the hair normally is at that point.

I was 17 at the time and was riding my bike with a bunch of friends l went ahead of them since I was the only one with a mountain bike and they all had road bikes and we were going through a pretty rough part of our neighbourhood, I got tired after 20 minutes biking all by myself and checked their locations and realized "Oh wow they're really slow" and I decided to park on the bridge infront of me, what I didn't know was that I positioned myself where the bridge gets off the road and into this river and as soon as I stepped of my bike (I was fully parked at the time) Fell 10 feet from the bridge and into a ditch at the bottom of the bridge, luckily I tried to angle myself before hitting the ground and I was able to not get into the river...however I did end up catching both of my legs in-between the bike itself and scrapping the skin right off my right leg, I waited to listen if I could hear anyone near by and I managed to get the attention of 2 dudes on a motorcycle and they helped me out of the ditch, then I procceeded to walk back home with a visible femur and washed it off with a hose, when I woke up the next day I couldn't walk at all and stayed in my room for 2 weeks to let the wound heal.
That was panic at the Disco. You know back before he kicked everyone else out. Like a good friend

Amazing video as always and as a vet tech student I can confirm please don't eat slug/snails they can have very deadly parasites. If you eat snails check very closely and cook very welll! Better safe then sorry.

Dumbest injury, definitely the one on my eyebrow. I decided it would be a great idea to dance on a folding step stool. It folded, I fell, hit my head on it, nice puddle of blood. Also I was like 17, so I for sure knew better.

My dumbest scar is a toss up between the one where I was cutting the sides of some biodegradable pots to allow water to escape so my strawberries wouldn't drown and the one where I dropped a knife on my foot. I managed to punch the leatherman I was using straight through my hand. The other was when I was doing some cooking and dropped the very heavy bladed knife I was using to cut veggies on my foot and again it went right through my foot and into the wood floor beneath so I didn't have any choice but to rip it out. It was fun explaining the bloody hole in the floor to my roommates and why I was limping.
In both cases I stitched myself up.

When I was about 8-10, I was using my arms to hold myself up with one hand on a sofa and the other on the kitchen island. There were these stools made of mostly metal between the two. While I was messing around and swinging back and forth, my hand slipped, and the bottom of my chin hit right on those placeholders for your feet on stools (as mentioned, they were basically right angles of metal). It cut through to the bone, and then I hit my head on the ground. It was a Thanksgiving party or something, so adults saw it and asked if I was okay, I mumbled I was fine and ran to the bathroom to stop the bleeding, which was now running down my neck and making a mess. Obviously, toilet paper wasn't very effective, and my mom took me to the hospital where I had to get stitches. I still have a scar there, although it's not very visible.

im rewatching Neon Genesis and yeah i got to agree, I also on the bus ride home today found a compilation of all the fly me to the moon endings from the seires. both the opening and ending EVA is awesome. Plus if you don't know the opening changes slightly each time. dont beleive me watch the opening from ep1 then go a few episodes in then watch that one and then go to the end. That series was way ahead of its time.

The dumbest way I got a scar: I made microwave Ramen. I set the bowl on my bed, and when I went to sit down, i forgot to pick it up. It spilled all over my leg and burned to the muscle since I didn't react very fast to it being on me, but reacted fast to it getting all over the bed. I was in Georgia at the time, and it was humid as hell that summer. I now have a scar that is as long as my hand across my knee, and people love laughing about it. I do, too, actually.
Question at 5:48. My answer: My friend loved to dig their nails into my skin for fun, and one day the puncture wound was so bad that it actually caused a scar about halfway between my hand and elbow on my right arm.

Dumbest scar... My brother did a forward roll over the lowest branch of our lilac tree while I was waiting to climb up to the highest branch to read a book... Few years ago, I was working 50 to 60 hours at a fast food place on overnight.

I was trying to sit on the couch by putting my knee down on the cushion first because I don't sit on couches normally and my knee went in between the cushions and I got a cut and bruise that lasted like a week. It hurt so bad and now I have a scar.
