To be fair, Alextrasza could literally catch Hanzo's arrows in mid air. In this video, they don't seem to take the role of rivals, but master and apprentice. I think she transformed to test his determination, to see if he would retreat in the face of an unfantomable threat. After seeing that he kept his bravery despite the danger, she showed the portals to the Nexus battlefields as the sign that Hanzo was ready.
when i saw the moment hanzo started firing arrows at alexstraza's dragon form while taking cover am i the only one who sees that as a Hobbit movie reference??? and i gotta say, hanzo you picked a powerful and good looking teacher. :)
its not necessarily a hobbit reference at all, attacking a dragon long range while taking cover is simply fighting a dragon while hoping to survive, pretty much any mortal versus dragon fight is like that, only gods or great monstrosities can fight dragons head on.

I was looking at it, and curiously there was a heroes hall (respawn/heal area) on blue team but no heroes hall on red team, unless it was within the castle itself, also, red team had 3 cores, while blue team doesnt appear to have any of their own...odd choices in map design there--another thing is that there appears to be a magical tower fairly far forward on blue side, almost right next to the top objective-likely to be the knights+mage camp-but on reds side its almost right next to the cannon towers mid, which leads me to the final wierdness, red team appears to have 2 towers per lane as it should be, but bottom lane has one tower way too far off to the right, seemingly protecting from a side attack despite their enemy being directly in front of them, while the blue team is even wierder by having 4 towers top lane and 3 towers bot lane, and a large gap mid that is wide open for attack despite the fact that bot lane has a lake covering it, which would allow for minimal defense of bot lane instead of the easily accessible mid lane
that is the King's Crest area of the Nexus. It contains the Dragon Shire but also the Garden of Terror. There are several Dragon Knights scattered around the King's Crest actually.
Would love to see Nexus specific lore for this game. Seeing their kinda stilted banter is very interesting, and this "trailer" can easily make way for new and interesting lore around characters finding themselves in a battlefield beyond time and space.
I'd also like to see more interaction between the characters. Kel'Thuzad and Xul, Raynor and Thrall, Tychus and Garrosh, Garrosh and Grom (same game but have never met since Garrosh was retco-I MEAN BECAUSE GROM BANGED HIS MOM AND THEN GOT CORRUPTED AND INVADED AZEROTH WITH THE REST OF THE ORCS BEFORE GARROSH WAS BORN BACK ON DRAENOR!)

Kinda but not really the main dragon still have a lot of their powers they lost some of the power given to them by the Titans but fx Chromie is still able to travel in time even though the bronze dragonflight should have lost the ability to travel in time.
We dont really know the timeline in which she was brought to the nexus. Remember that Tychus is dead and Tyrael doesn't has his wings, yet they appear in game as if nothing happened.

So Smaug vs Bard is the ripoff of Houyi vs Zhayu (or any other dragon he slain) from the chinese mythology or the tale of Yorimasa from the japanese mythology. The archer vs dragon theme origins from the far eastern mythology and not from Tolkien.
Probably because last time we heard her speak was back in WoW where, to be completely fair, the audio is not the best. So hearing her speak in higher quality means it sounds better (obviously). Her speaking along side a character from overwatch...well that helps greatly too.

@@imorkie7760 That's why they chose this setting, full of very tall towers where hanzo can maneuver around, hide and position more comfortably to shoot while at the same time it limits her movement and makes it harder for her to dodge his ult and everything else he throws at her. She'd probably roast our madlad in any other setup :D.

Kinda but not really the main dragon still have a lot of their powers they lost some of the power given to them by the Titans but fx Chromie is still able to travel in time even though the bronze dragonflight should have lost the ability to travel in time.

We dont really know the timeline in which she was brought to the nexus. Remember that Tychus is dead and Tyrael doesn't has his wings, yet they appear in game as if nothing happened.

its not necessarily a hobbit reference at all, attacking a dragon long range while taking cover is simply fighting a dragon while hoping to survive, pretty much any mortal versus dragon fight is like that, only gods or great monstrosities can fight dragons head on.

Why does Alex sound like she's from Overwatch?
Probably because last time we heard her speak was back in WoW where, to be completely fair, the audio is not the best. So hearing her speak in higher quality means it sounds better (obviously). Her speaking along side a character from overwatch...well that helps greatly too.
