Out of all of the Star Wars games that need a sequel, (Battlefront is getting one, but games like Empire at War and KoTOR) this one needs it the most.

I'm pretty sure Republic Commando is not getting a sequel even though it deserves one. I think there was going to be one but they shut it down. Not sure why though.
the intro to this game is simply amazing. They really make you feel like a top commando like no other . I love this game
It does. The line "Something truly special..." gets you every time. Really makes you feel like the Republic's apex predator!
The opening to this mod is clunky as heck though.

The Clone Commandos were the Kaminoans response to Jango's request for the first batch of Advanced Recon Commandos (ARC troopers) that he would train himself. The Nulls, however, were first. They were deemed untrainable, but a Mandalorian offered to train them to be the best unit ever, and they were. The next batch, the Alphas, was given to Jango for training. Meanwhile, the Kaminoans trained the Clone/Republic Commandos. The result, the ARCs were better. In solo missions that is. The Republic Commandos worked best when they were in groups of four. They were not any good if they were separated from their group for to long, or used as infantry. Many Commando squads perished on Geonosis, because the Jedi did not realize that they weren't to be used as infantry. The ARCs worked better in solo recon missions, and stood a chance as infantry, but how many ARCs have you seen die in comparison to Commandos? Too many. These two groups were meant for recon. They are nearly equals. The more you know.

This is like a really dumb way of saying Commandos & ARC were trained for Special Forces not infantry.
Jake True. But I added some events that lead to their creation and how they were organized and stuff.
+WALN Zell The ALPHA-CLASS ARC Troopers were the cause for the turning of the war towards the Republic's side for actually being used as Infantry platoon leaders due to their Lieutenant positions and training in leadership. That's why almost every Legion Commander and most Captains underwent ARC Training along side their regular training.
Actually, mandalorians trained the commandos, not Kaminoans.
this game should at least be remasterd or have a sequal

an ending that does not answer all the questions. if i remember right from my childhood, the red trooper goes missing. They act like theres going to be a mission to save him, but then it cuts to the credits.
John Sullivan your second comment is correct. 07 gets attacked on the com link. All three brothers want to save 07 but their advisor gives direct orders otherwise.

Just figured I'd say thanks for downloading our mod and giving it some more exposure. It's basically down to myself and Hockey on the team so progress has been slow. We should have another big update coming at some point this year. Thanks again.

The sound and music of this game is incredible.
Looking at those dropships makes me think... something... Is it capable of atmospheric reentry? Can it reach escape the atmosphere? Is it capable of transporting a metric shit-ton of apple cider? Do smugglers ever use them as transports? Are they worthy? Are they the once and future king? Can they pull the sword from the stone? Are they the Chosen One? Can they communicate with Stan, otherwise known as Satan, the Great Deceiver, and the Morningstar? Are they in league with Lucy? So many questions and so much time to ask them...

Ik. And this is still only the beta stage! Can't wait to see the final product when all the bugs have been ironed out. The ARC rifle is boss, but it was the Z-6 Rotary Minigun that blew me away even more, you'll get a chance to see that in action in the next part :P

Lol, but I guess its a small team with a big idea. I cant stop them from doing that though lol, Cause keep working at it. Then someday it'll happen. Sure happened to me after learning some XML for Star Wars Empire At war to make myself Clone Trooper Units lol.
Man, this is one hell of a mod...
The soundtrack of this game is so epic. Too bad it is so short and most of the time you can't really have it as loud as you'd like cause you'll miss out on the other sound effects and dialogues.

Good idea. But this mod makes ARC look more skilled than Commandos, which isn't the case.

This game's use of a visor HUD is very reminiscent of the Metroid Prime games.

In the 2nd game they should make you work for the empire. Be the bad guy for once, you know but at the end turn good and find Sev (My name is Zev)
Would be interesting, but you wouldnt be 38, 40, or 62 (sorry, i forgot there names because i remember their numbers the best) you would be an imperial commando of sort, the stormtrooper equivalent of a commando. Still would be awesome, especially if you met up with 38 or 40 or 62.. or heck, all of em! Would love to see it but it would never happen
Or you worked with the Empire/First Order and then met up with delta Squad and omega squad fighting for freedom and then became one with them at the middle maybe. (Boss is 38, 40 is Fixer, 62 is scorch, 07 sev) Know What fuckit im making a SW game about this if they dont by the time i can make a game, i dont give a fuck if i do get copyright, because i will get some much damn money

Hey mate, I know this is KINDA unrelated to the video itself, but I noticed that you managed to upload this in full 1080p HD without the video having any black bars on the sides. I've been trying to get that to work for a while, but every time I try and get Premiere Pro to export it in full HD, I am either required to stretch the video or deal with black bars on the sides. How did you manage to avoid either outcome? O:
Try adding 'yt:stretch=16:9' to your video's tags. It really solves the black bars problem. Hope this helps.

how do you put the mod in star wars RP same as with SWBF you make an addon folder put in then done? By the way GREAT video!
You need to download the two folders in the description. Then you'll need to backup your GameData folder, as you'll be overwriting some stuff.
Then, for the one called ARC Trooper Mod Beta 4.0 do this:
Step 1: Open the .ZIP file
Step 2: Double-Click ARC Trooper mod 4.0
Step 3: Select (click and drag the cursor over) all five of the folders that appear.
Step 4: Navigate to your GameData folder, its usually
C:\Program Files(86x)\LucasArts\Star Wars Republic Commando\GameData
or C:\Program Files (86x))\Steam/SteamApps\common\Star Wars Republic Commando\GameData
Step 6: Drag the folders from the .ZIP file into the GameData folder
Step 7: You will now be prompted to merge the folders with the existing folders. Check the "Do this for all current items" box, then click Yes
Step 8: You will now be prompted to move and replace, don't move, or move and keep both files. Again, check the "Do this for all current items" box, and click Move and Replace.
For the one called ARC Trooper Mod Beta 4.0 Map-Pack: Extract to: C:/programfiles(86x) /Steam/SteamApps/common/ RepublicCommando/GameData/Maps.
You don't need an addon folder. Hope this helps :)

+pie- ninetyever yeah just use xpadder to map keys to controller. a bit tedious but it works and you only have to do it once and then save your setup and then playing is easy

Does anyone know how to stop the scene transitions at the beginning of the game on Kamino? I would like to sit and record some of that part of the game but the transitions are so quick its impossible.

Jack David In canon, no they didn't. In this mod, yes they did but this is all fan-made and non-canon anyway.
I have a problem with this mod. The sidearm pistol is invisible and it shoots red bolts. Anyone know what caused it?

Droideka's aren't impervious to blasters. Their energy shields DO run out of energy, and mass weapons and photon weapons would just go through as if it was nothing. Ion weapons would drain them incredibly fast as well.
I did always find them a bit TOO easy to kill, despite being the 2nd hardest infantry unit in the game, you have heavy weapons of course (which is normally the best answer) but regular blaster fire can take them down in 100 shots or so (of the basic automatic blaster) and you carry 360.
100 shots sounds like allot, but you're almost always in a squad of four which makes it much easier.

maybe try to allow it? Your security software maybe thinks its a virus so it wont let you move it to the folder you wont because it thinks it could be dangerous, Look at the black list or chest or whatever your security software has, just the list of „dangerous" things, and if you will find it there, well then just allow it. It may solve your problem, but I'm not promising anything though...
Why are there 2 versions of the game?
one version has you as a colored team
and the other version has you as just plain white
Why did they make 2 versions?
From what I've heard, it was a last minute decision from Lucasarts. In all beta and original trailers they had white armour but then they decided to change it to coloured armour so you could distinguish between each commando.

The prequels sucked, don't get me wrong, but the clone wars is the best era in star wars (in my humble opinion) George Lucas just screwed up the prequels.
