LEGO Republic Commando - Delta Squad I: Infiltration Point
Вставка
- Опубліковано 8 вер 2024
- Film Date: March '09-June 2009 (Original idea in March '08)
The Separatists have established a base on Felucia and are developing a toxin that could seriously stall the Republic's war efforts. Delta Squad is called upon to infiltrate the compound and do what they do best.
Here it is! Finally! The culmination of a year and a half of buying parts, filming, and editing. The idea was first conceived in March of '08, and has finally ended here on the 16th of July, '09.
All expenses considered, this was a $700 film.
Hope you like it! I'd appreciate it if you left a comment saying what you liked/disliked about it; I use those comments to know what kinds of things to include in my next film. And, of course, I'll be coming out with a bunch more films (Star Wars and Classic) now, so if you like what you see you might want to subscribe...

Those classic Lego videogame sounds bring back so many good memories
One of the best stop motion video of my childhood :D such a nostalgia
Let's check this room. Explosives?
No explosives
Aw
Ok fixer, can you hack THIS door…
Sure thing, I’m gonna need some cover
Nostalgia
DebowAnimation agree
Dude, I'm so glad I found you again. I loved this so much as a kid
Thank you for the nice compliments! I do try and capture the little things, and I'm glad you noticed them. Good luck with your future films!
i love the commando sense of humor. "your armor doesn't have the equipment to filter the spores." "...so don't drop it."
13 years ago, and still best. Childhood was awesome
Wow, this went above and beyond my expectations for this movie. I had a lot of fun doing the voices for Sev and Boss, or at least, watching that video you linked me and trying my best to copy them. :P
The sound effects were great, the animation was cool... what else can I say? Nicely done.
Really well done movie, i'm glad you had the patience to make the movie, and I appreciate you posted it on the internet for many of us fans to see. :)
that was the best movie battle i hAVE SEEN I A FEW MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!
Hello !!!
My son and I have been playing RC for about a week now, and I don't know how this good ole' game slipped my attention.
GOOD JOB, COMMANDO!
Thanks for the very good bit of film-making. We both enjoyed it very much!
Laramie, and Laramie
Indeed, but this was before I found out I could. Since it spanned the course of a year and a half I learned quite a lot, though I had to keep it consistent. Thanks.
this is one of the best lego star wars videos ive ever seen! nicely done
Yes, that's one thing I've committed to memory to change for DSII. Thanks!
Such a nostalgia trip.
THE BEST LEGO MOVIE EVER
Actualy the first ever Lego anything that impressed me. Well done, the animation was good, voice acting could be better if you improve audio, and as a Lego fan: incredible job on detail on set design.
Cool vid and awesome effects! I think this is the best Delta Squad video on youtube.
Funny Gunray!!!
'Gasp'
This is one of the best stopmotions that i have seen!
Great job!
:D
Damn, nice memories of first time watching a UA-cam video
Squads can be as big as the operation calls for. They can be from 2 to 14 troops, possibly even more. Republic Commandos however typically operated in 4 man squads while a typical infantry (or regular clone trooper squad) was 9 men. Yes I'm a nerd, thank you :)
Wow! You actually made a story that kept pace and made sense! And...
It was EXACTLY like Republic Commando! Love that game...
And by the way, I wouldn't damage my figures either. People actually shave off the cool fins!?!? I kept my action figures mint in my Gates of Talus movie too. Checking for the next Ep!
That was ok....What am I kiding that was totaly awsome man. It was so cool. The set designs, the effects, the everything totaly awsome.
that is the smoothest lego star wars animation i've ever seen
Advisor: How long will it take them to recover?
Med: About a week, sir.
Advisor: Good. I'll have a new mission for them by then.
Advisor = JERK!
this brings me back
This takes me back to simpler times
Delta squad... haar verda meg draar cuyir briikase o'r kyr'am ti rohak.
The warriors who never be happy in death with defeat.
this is one of the best stopmotions of all time but vicroy looks funny
@McShortBread The shockwave from the explosion at close range is what blew them backwards
Ah, glad you noticed that! I tried to veil it a bit, but yes, he's supposed to be mean to an extent. Some of the Jedi generals didn't fully appreciate the clones in the war, so this is one of them.
this rocks! before i had this account, i used to watch your first two vids over and over (mostly because they were the only ones u had) but when i saw this felucia vid, i didnt know it was u! (i found out because of the base) u rock!
Yeah it's really easy to make Sev's gun; all you need is a regular rifle, a black connector piece, (usually off of Bionicle,) and a black hand piece off of another mini-fig; all there is to it!
Ahh, very cool vid!
This is juist awesome!
Nice laser effects either!
And, those fins on the helmets look cooler! :D
Make a new vid soon, I look forward to it!
(deleted last one, afraid of block xD)
Nice video! I like the use of the lego star wars sound effects, too. Really tops it off! Just one suggestion: maybe shave off the fins on the commandos' helmets to look more accurate, but I understand if they arent permanent commandos or anything. Still, great video I am impressed!
Good question. I made the outside, then separately made the rooms on individual baseplates.
fixers legs are backwards at 6:29 and that rocked!
Hi, I'm a new user on youtube, I have only made 3 videos, and they're only a few seconds long, but my plan is to make lots of star wars based lego stop motion, and I just wanted to say this video was the best lego clone wars stop motion I've ever seen. You make the best sets, as well. And another thing, your vids have all the little things you want, like characters moving in battle, and, seeing where missed shots go. In short, this was awesome!
It was. But it was also fun, and it seems to have made an impression on people, so I think it's worth it. And thank you!
Thank you, I spent a lot of time on those. Glad you noticed!
That was pretty awsome! Good job and good animation. The best bit about it was the story line is beliveable and makes sense unlike some stopmotion out there. I will subscribe :)
Absolutely amazing, my friend. From the very beginning of this project I only dreamed of this level of awesomeness in the final product, and man, you delivered. It's stunning, stylistic, and an excellent representation of the gritty Clone Wars of the films and games.
This blew my expectations out of the water. Bravo. XD
The interior details of the base were awesome! overall the vid was great 5/5
@TechCloneTrooper Phase 1 is what is seen in Attack of the Clones. Phase 1 is also what is seen in the Republic Commando video game (which this is based off of), along with the RepCom books (also the inspiration for this film). As for the fins, I just chose not to mess with my pieces, but they are still Phase 1, so they fit for the commandos.
Very Good. Great sound edit and HD just enhances it further. Great job. 5/5.
That was totally amazing! I mean one of the best movies ever!
it is when you consider all the Legos I had to buy, like the gray pieces or the Gunship. Most of what you see in the film was bought especially for it.
This stopmotion is amazing. I LOVE IT!
Wow, Awesome! It had a story that made sense and kept pace (rare)...
And it's exactly like Republic Commando! Love that game...
I wouldn't damage my figs either. People actually shave off the cool fins?!?
I kept my action figs mint in my movie Gates of Talus.
@TechCloneTrooper phase 1 and phase 2 armor was for regular clone troopers. the commandos wore armor called kartarn armor, which is sort of like a combination of the two (at first glance it llooks like phase 1 with the fin cut off) but its actually completely different
Still awesome to this day
Thank you, I'm glad my hard work is paying off!
this is the best delta squad video ever
Good, glad you caught on to that. Though technically he's a temporary advisor (That'll be explained in Delta Squad II).
The ending is a neat touch!
that was the best lego video ever no joke that was great it must have thaken alot of time to do all that again great
nice delta squad with clone wars helmets i like it great job
tha base is awsome you did an excellent job on everything else too
The droids are so stupid they didn't even see a huge gunship landing right next to their base and dropped off 4 Troopers. :P
you are one of the best stopmotion makers on youtube;)
haha ok nice i sanded off the fins of my Commandos but u can do whatever u want :} love ur vid!!!
Great! So smooth, and purist figs... I love them, I'm a purist too!
Thanks! Your voices really helped the film, if you read some of the comments. I hope you can return for the sequel(s). =D
Amazing! You're like a real movie maker! 700$! And one year!
Great base and surrounding jungle set and awesome movie!
this was the best movie ever!!
great job sound and all that...animation was great too 9.5/10 stars
Excellent job! the set design and everything is stunning!
Yeah, I had someone else make the explosions, so I didn't know the program he used would do that. And yes, I figured there was too much walking. I'll keep that in mind for the next one. Thanks!
all i can say is wow dude that was well thought out
incledible, very nice effects and history!!!
amazing quality.......also good for being a purist. overall great job with everything also including great sound.
i like ur efforts to make this as accurate as possible good job
Thanks, but since I don't customize, I couldn't do much. I did change their appearance slightly for the second one I'm working on, though.
PURE AWESOMENESS MAN IT IS THE BEST I EVER SEEN
Thank you; that's quite a compliment!
@kurfty Thank you! Unfortunately I won't be. I'm going off to college this fall and won't be taking my collection with me. I am coming out with a new film this summer, though. Stay tuned!
Touchbrick Pictures hey dude, do you still check on your channel?
1) I'm an extremely busy person with three AP classes right now.
2) I believe my films are of higher quality than legoboy's (FPS, activity between characters).
3) I require funds for almost all of my films, due to a collection that's generally spread out in terms of color. I think legoboy has a lot more money than I do.
4) I try and plug up any holes in my script, and that takes a while.
Hope that answers your question. And I hope to have an update that'll explain more in depth.
the cruiser there on in the game is the prosecuter that where they were stationed
woot awesome new chapter to the commandos woot!!!
No, I actually had a friend voice Sev and Boss and he sent the lines to me that way.
I used a trial of Goldwave for the battledroid voices.
@Brambleclawd in the game its called a EC Detonator (electro static charge) but its identified as empi look up the name in the booklet btw
those commandos are awesome
aaaaah.........good point the first couple times I watched this I didn't really understand thanks for clearing that up!
Yup, he'll be returning in DS2. Thanks, mate!
@TheWarriorWithNoFear "The Ghost Ship" by Jesse Harlin. It's from the Republic Commando soundtrack.
@Jickkickkiwi I think it's called GoldWave. You have to pay for it though; I only used the trial version. And the Lego website had the sounds up for a contest a long time ago (in a galaxy far far away lol).
Well, that was certainly worth the wait. 5/5
@SpecialAgentRavage The Jedi wasn't supposed to be anyone in particular; I sort of took Delta Squad out of the normal timeline, but I guess you could see him as Zey and the clone as Maze.
Thanks, mate.
thats sooooooooooooo amazing great job keep up the good work! 5/5
Not quite sure what you mean by that...
Yes, I made my own hat. I filmed this before the set came out.
Yes indeed. I'm not sure when, though; I've got quite a busy schedule.
That was incredible! Really good animation, awesome effects, and awesome storyline. 5/5
Thank you! It's still processing; the quality will improve in a bit.
I'm also a Purist. I also don't have lots of clone to. So, your smart by not painting them. love the vid boy the way! :)
Nice job! I'm quite impressed!
A quick Wookieepedia search reveals that CC stands for Clone Commander. It's possible it stands for other things, though.
I'm creating my own storyline with this, and if you didn't notice, the date is "Day 236 - Clone Wars," so Geonosis has already happened.
@SithFilmer R U KIDDING ME THIS IS AMAZING EXCELLENT 5*
