- Delicious easy to make chicken quarters using some Uncle Steve's Shake. Also, new to me Jealous Devil Lump charcoal. Sprayed with duck fat prior to applying the rub on the chicken quaters. 1st time doing chicken this way. Cooked indirect took about 30-40 minutes. Chicken temp varied 175-185. Easy cook. Chicken on the grill is always delicious. Think I'll go back to spraying during the cook. Skin wasn't as crisp on the chicken as I normally like. Rub was really good. I highly recommend it. I definitely liked the Jealous Devil. Still would like to do more cooks with it. Thanks for watching. Please comment and give a thumbs up. Please consider subscribing. I put new videos out weekly.

Looks absolutely delicious! -S
Thanks 😎
The chicken looked really good Chris!
Nicely done...
Thanks. Tried out a few new things with this cook. Chicken was good but wasn’t happy with the skin. Thanks for watching
@@ChrisHansenBBQ I hear you 🍻
Chicken looked fantastic! I have all of Uncle Steve's shakes, not a bad one in the bunch. I try to cook my chicken with my grill between 350° to 400°. Crispy skin every time. Great video 👍👍
Thanks brother. Yeah I love doing chicken. I never have a problem really with skin. Idk if it’s the new charcoal (don’t think so) or that I sprayed before seasoning. Normally if I do us some kind of spray I’ll do it during the cook. Definitely doing some videos in the future to put this to bed. Thanks for watching 👊🏻✌🏻
That looks so delicious Chris!! I need to try that duck fat spray, great way to hold on the rub too. I just love grilled chicken!!
Thanks. It’s good. May work a little better that regular cooking spray. I normally spray during the cook. I just did something different this time around. Wasn’t completely happy with the skin . Thanks so much for watching
Those birds look so good. SnSr is one of my favorites. So glad you like it.
Thanks still have some more to try. Loving you them. Great job
Right on Chris! Good looking chicken and that uncle Steve’s sweet and the spicyeR rocks! Keep it up
Thanks brother. I’m loving it.

The chicken is totally looking good! I'd love to try the Uncle Steve's shakes, I hear so much good things about them! Great job man!
Thanks brother . Definitely try it
Hey Chris!! Yes, Uncle Steve's Spicy R is spot on!! I need to order myself more!! That chicken looks fantastic!! 🍗👍
It really is. I’m loving his whole line. Have about 3-4 bottles to try. Thanks for watching 👋🏻
Uncle Steve's is good stuff! You gotta try his sauce! Chicken looks delicious brother 😋 👍👊🍻
Hey Kevin! Thanks brother. It’s on my to do list. Im almost done with that variety pack. They are all awesome bro. Enjoy the week brother 👍🏻🍺✌🏻😎
Looked good man and good job. I have never tried that Duck Fat Spray, but I have heard about it.
Hey Jason! It’s good. Not a must have though. Never sprayed prior to cooking. Always middle of cook for me. Didn’t really work that well this cook. I don’t always use a spray or butter. They do help though. Thanks for watching.👊🏻✌🏻
Those grilled leg quarters look delicious Chris! The seasonings look right and I bet it tastes amazing! Have a great day brother!
Thanks brother. Yeah I was just trying to showcase the rub and coal. Both were great 👍🏻 Enjoy the week 👊🏻🍺🇺🇸👍🏻
Awesome video! Keep up the good content and stay connected!!!
Thanks 🙏🏻
Looks like it turned out well man. Although of times with the skin it a matter of cranking the heat at the end of the cook, or cooking direct at the beginning then going indirect to finish the cook
Hey brother thanks for stopping by. I normally use one chimney full of coal and cook indirect and I’m satisfied with the skin. Sometimes I may spray with oil. Wasn’t happy with it this time as I sprayed before cook. Idk
Nice looking quarters, sweet n spicy r is great on chicken. I've heard alot about the jealous devil. 🤘
Thanks. I’m loving the Uncle Steve’s. I was surprised to find jd in homedepot. Thanks for watching 👊🏻🍺✌🏻
Good looking bird brother, I found the Video 😂🤣😂 keep rockin the cooks👍🏼🇺🇸🍻🎸
Thanks brother! Rub was great and I’m like this lump. Have a great day 🍺👊🏻🇺🇸✌🏻
@@ChrisHansenBBQ yeah thats a great rub, I give it, Smoke bomb and pig shake or gator shake to friends for Christmas along with my rubs in a 6 pack. Steve is a good dude.
Chicken looks great! I guess I better get some Uncle Steve's. Apparently all the cool kids are using it. I'm also going to look for that charcoal. Thanks for the info. ✌️
Thanks brother. Definitely recommend the rubs. I like all so far. Charcoal is great. It was my first time and I like it a lot. Homedepot in ny just started carrying it. Thanks for watching. Merry enjoy the week 👊🏻🍺😎✌🏻
Great leg quarters Chris, looks really delicious 👍 🍺
Thanks Ron appreciate it 👊🏻🍺✌🏻
Rub and chicken looks great. I never saw that charcoal
Thanks. I got to say I was pleased with everything.👍🏻 definitely a good easy cook. Thanks for watching ✌🏻
That is a tender juicy , flavorful rub grilled Chicken. Finger lickin good. Delicious! Thumbs up! 39
Thanks. Rub was great. I highly recommend it. Thanks for watching
Good morning my friend, I also think that this rub tasted very good, you obviously liked it!!
With us, 1 liter of cooking oil sometimes costs 5 euros, crazy times!
Have a good time and take care 👍🍻 Wolfgang😁👨🍳
Hey brother. Thanks for watching. Rub was good 👍🏻. Everything is expensive now. Crazy times indeed. Stay safe my friend 👊🏻🍺✌🏻
The chicken thighs are really tasty and juicy, you want to bite into them immediately. Thank you for your recipe and see you next time, greetings Erika
Hello Erika. 👋🏻 Thank you 🙏🏻. I appreciate you watching. Have a great week!
Ya I tried the Duck fat before the cook as binder you could say. I'm like you its a during the cook process. Sweet and Spicyer is some good stuff
Hey Lance thanks for stopping by. Yeah I totally agree brother. Enjoy the week
Dam that chicken looks freaken BOMB never tried that charcoal before maybe soon
Thanks brother. Definitely worth the try if you can find it.
Looking good. Still need to try some Uncle Steve's products myself! Your chicken, the color is so nice, looks perfect. Nice looking coals too! I enjoyed, thank You Sir! (nothing wrong with it, but I don't use Duck Fat, but I do spray some sort of oil on before cooking)
Hey Paulie! Thanks for stopping by. Thanks. I love doing chicken. Duck fat is new to me. I usually use some cooking spray oil
🔔🙏👍👍👍
Thanks 🙏🏻
Nice job bud, I ordered some rubs last night fro Uncle Steve
Thanks brother. Is it your first time? I’m new to his line and love it. 👊🏻🍺✌🏻
@@ChrisHansenBBQ yes first time, everyone says they are good I can’t imagine that they aren’t
@@panchucko shoot a video brother
Awesome chicken. Also great that you can find JD charcoal at Home Depot now? I think the skin looked too moist when you put the rub on. Moisture is the enemy of crispy skin. I had great success air drying skin in fridge overnight or doing a light sear at beginning of cook to dry anything out before putting in indirect side. But yes, you are right…Spraying duck fat during cook can help too!
In ny at least. I normally get some decent skin . Trying the spray before hand didn’t work the way I normally cook it. So many ways to cook it. Enjoy the weekend brother ✌🏻
I use duck fat also, worst kept chicken secret! I have issues with crispy skin also. Just needs more patience and heat. And I'm low on patience.
Looks great!
Hey Will! You know normally I don’t. I don’t always get the crispiest but normally I’m happy. I did two things different. The charcoal which is as my first time using. Idk and used duck fat prior to the cook. Normally I’ll spray during and not always duck fat. Idk bro
@@ChrisHansenBBQ We need to test!
@@evilTexanBBQ have some different ideas in my head already. Could definitely do a collaboration on it. Somehow
@@ChrisHansenBBQ Definitely. I think it's going to be brisket for me this weekend. I've done a lot of pork lately.
@@evilTexanBBQ nice. I definitely want to do one soon.👍🏻
Everyone keeps using this uncle steves stuff and I had never heard of it before. Guess I should look into it a little bit. I think your chicken looks my tasty. Even though, I'm not a huge fan of dark meat. But I think I could go ahead and gnaw on a leg lol.
Lol thanks. Yeah dark is my favorite when it comes to grilling. Uncle Steve’s Shake is great. I’m liking all their rubs so far still have 3-4 to try still. Lol. Thanks for watching 👊🏻👋🏻
no sauce?
Not this time. I wanted to get a good taste of the rub which I did. Thanks 👍🏻👊🏻✌🏻🍺
