I’m in same situation and there is no help for us. They refuse to help. I even told my son’s probation officer he will kill me and they still place him with me. He has oppositional defiant disorder aka psychopath and there’s no fixing this.
I don't know how she tolerated that. I would have let him go long before it even got to that point. So all these threats against his mother, after killing his father, and nothing was done and he killed his mother anyway. Talk about a failure of the system
The system cannot save people from themselves. She knew this boy killed his father and knew he was committing domestic violence against her yet she continued to be around him.
It's her failure. He's 17, she has the final say in what happens him and she accepted him back. They would have no doubt warned her and told her he's dangerous.
Taking murd3r out of the equation, what is going on that so many kids are putting hands on their parents? Why is it even an option? My parents wouldn't even tolerate backchat. This being a 'thing' is mind-boggling to me.
it's called "gentle parenting" these days. Basically the child has no consequences for any of their actions and aren't given boundaries. whatever they do is tolerated and "gentle parents" simply talk nice to the child and tell then they understand why they're being a little a-hole and it's OK.
It’s happening because nowadays parents are not parenting in a healthy way. This is the time when younger generation thinks they all know already everything from the moment they walk out of diapers. That’s how they behave at home, at school and then at work. It’s only going to get worst.
