- This apartment’s really affordable. If you were moving to NYC on a budget, would you live here? I think its going to rent…
Thanks to @thatnycrentalpage for the tours!

"This NYC apartment cost 900 dollars, why?!" SO... this apartment costs 1,000,000 dollars but if 1,100 people stay here it'll be around 900 per person!
Yeah, I’d call it clickbait, but I don’t read Cash’s titles anymore anyway. They’re are nonsensical drivel.
Right like absolute Fucking lie in the title for that reason alone I can’t watch his channel I hate clickbait
Definitely click bait
Cash, I've been watching & enjoying your videos so long, that these apartments don't faze me anymore. I've seen them all.
But it's your charismatic personality & your tours of the neighborhoods that I continue to find amusing.
God Bless you and your family.
Shalom.
Thanks!
Stop 👏🏼click bating 👏🏼 the per-person price👏🏼 in the title
It’s a $3695 apartment- not $1200 lol
Facts!
Not like he’s paying attention nor is this dingus paying attention 🤷♂️
And he clearly failed math because it’s $1,231.66 a person.
@@mariasmallwood3836thats the only thing that annoys me about the titles
YASS!!!
At least he explains why wont it rent 😅
The government warehouse, it’s the NYPD 23rd precinct on East Harlem, also known as Spanish Harlem.
Better wear ear plugs, sirens all the time.
The neighborhood is not bad.
Convenient access to public transportation. You can be in midtown in less than half hour, by the 6 train close by, or the Q a few blocks away.
For those looking for “affordable” groceries. There are 4 supermarkets within 6 blocks.
Cash can easily persuade you to get any apartment he checks out when he's so fascinated with medicine cabinets and sink sprayers
Hah thanks. I think this one is for someone who doesn’t have too much stuff. In unit laundry huge plus so it should rent…
That long useless looking hallway could house most of my 6,000 books on IKEA bookshelves.
Second apartment: A deck? Ok, if that’s what you want to call it. More like a claustrophobic box surrounded by creepy buildings.
Both nice although the second looks a little too cramped for 3 people but would be great for 2. Put a table and rolling counter in the common area and turn bedroom with deck access to living room.
It just amazes me how new York landlords continue to put false walls up to split a huge room into two that first Apartment clearly was a circumstance of that then somehow legally charge you for the bedroom
switch the BUT to AND maybe…..??? Harlem and it’s history would be a big plus for me.
“But it’s in Harlem”… the same place y’all been dying to take over for years 😂 be safe on the east side cash lol
Thanks for the great videos. I’m a homeschooling mom to 5 kids ages 14 down to 4. My kids Love. Your. Videos. They are sure to crack up while watching you and all your quick witty comments. We live in Ca so watching NYC videos are quite educational and I count it as school. Social studies?? Geography?? 😂
Cash should be forced to include the words "Per Person" in every video title.
Clickbait bullshit
yes deceptive titles
It’s really my only complaint with Cash’s videos - his kind of clickbait titles. I understand these types of titles help gain some viewership but I personally feel that they aren’t necessary. To not mention the correct price in the title is just being kind of deceitful, even if that’s not his intention.
@@NYBredBamaFed He's been doing this since after the pandemic when rents have skyrocketed, I agree but now knowing it, I just assume he's not speaking about total rent any longer. I like Cash, the naive character has been worn out.
Stiff competition out there these days, has to have something to grab attention when rents are as ridiculous as they are in NYC. He makes entertaining videos though.
I'm so glad i don't have to face rent like this. I don't know how people do it! Love your videos.
@@mycinnamongirl Hello! Same for my area (San Francisco). I don't know how people do here, either.
Harlem got that essence, that history =)
Title says $1,200; aka $12,000 split between 10 roomies
The company that makes that grey tile must be making a killing right now. It's everywhere! Hey, easy with the doors!
I've been saying the same thing for awhile now...they have the market mastered lol.
A renovation company buys wholesale.

You can easily find cheap apartments in some parts of the Bronx, East Harlem, Bed-Stuy, not to mention Brownsville.
In Harlem are condos for sale (1BR, and 2BR) under $300k. Co-ops are cheaper.
There are reasons they are not expensive.
I love this apartment and I’m such a fan of living in Harlem although I’m not a fan of the 6 train line. Love the new appliances and for the price and location it’s definitely worth a 4th floor walk up. I love taking baths so not having a bath tub is normally my deal breaker but with a wash/dry in the apartment I’ll take it!
So ummm what's wrong with Harlem... I'd move there in a heartbeat 😌 coming from a Harlemnite 😊
Exactly.
you must be kidding me.I was born in the Bronx many years ago,I woud not return to live there now.
Same here; it's more affordable than most of Manhattan.
@@georgiasmith7615 East Harlem has many new large developments… u mustve not been there in awhile
Crime is absolutely out of control.
I LOVE HARLEM!!
I love how you call it large, when a small bedroom in any house is bigger than that.
Even in my small one bedroom in a 55+ building has a bigger bedroom, and I'm always complaining about how small it is. Once my portable a/c is in, a whole corner of the bedroom becomes inaccessible.
Harlems been gentrified since the 90s great area
6:16 I actually love this view, there's something so cozy about it.
Harlem is cool
Cash, Another great episode of a series on how you can live in an affordable pad in NYC. Thanks to Alex for sharing his adorable pal. A new T-shirt for your show might read- Bring Back Bob- 😁
Keep going!☮️👏👏👏👏
What's wrong with Harlem?
One thing you don't want to do is look out your window, look down and see all brown
....... unless it's ... people! When I think of Harlem I think of the Apollo or Harlem Nocturne...what a cool song. And of course Bill Clinton.
This is Gonna b so Good CJ🔥🔥🔥👍n Happy Thursday😀…..
Thanks these are fantastic apartments. Definitely, they will rent.
@@CashJordan Of course they'll rent. Transients will rent a converted bathroom - for a year.
Harlem is great my mom is from Harlem near Central Park 😂
Patricia you took the words right out of my mouth. "but it's in Harlem" Pls explain
High crime area
@@dbzbrandon101 NYC period
@@user-wo7dl6tb2q Much higher crime in EL Bario /Spanish Harlem
I was wondering how high the crime rate is there. I live in Canada so I have no idea.
They're both quite nice looking.. not tons of room, but for starter apartments they'll be great.
Use that freestanding beverage cooler as and end table next to sofa.
Or put a table top on it.
Where you from boy? Spanish Harlem is not Harlem. The Renos of these railroad tenements are pretty good and would make great living, work at home situations for a young couple. Not bad Alex. My buddy had the "penthouse" in one of these tenement buildings on 97th off Lex in the 80's two apartments per floor $120 per month and for one or two people it was great.
"Plus we have a little surprise outside this bathroom window"
Yep, that's right. A deck where your housemates can watch you while you take a sh!t in the bathroom.
You would have thought that the landlord would have had the forethought to install privacy glass in that window.
My old house that i just sold and am moving to a new redesigned one 3 doors down, had not the ideal layout - on the loooong side with a loooong hallway. I had planned to actually use the hallway walls to make my cat's geneological tree with pictures, LOL. He's a purebred Norwegian and i can go back 4 generations to his great-grandparents. I might still do it in the new house, possibly on the wall above the staircase 😆👍
The first apartment is really good for two people who can share the third bedroom as an office space. I don’t know how three strangers manage to share an apartment anymore. Same for the 2nd apartment.
"Tik Tok chair." 😂
im done with ny. 4k to live in harlem to get taxed at 40%.
Love the bird sitting next to the Fake Owl !😅
I am sorry but what does "But it's in Harlem mean"
you know stop playin.
Its a jungle out there 🦧🦧🦍🦍🐒🐒🐵🐵
You know what it means. It's ghetto.
It’s not safe especially east harlem….
@@ss188818 why would you identity Harlem as a jungle ..
There are worse places in WV ..there are jungles in trailer parks..and if you shave a monkey his skin is white not black...it's all go though let the real people come out
This is a nice apartment - clean, pretty modern, nice tile, washer dryer- I’d live here.
That bathroom that's floor to ceiling with the gray and white tiles would drive me crazy! It's too much of something that's nice if it's judiciously used but obviously they don't know that less is more!
0:34 I grew up in that building on the left! All 5 of my siblings crammed into a 2 2 bedroom railroad style apartment 😂 the market at 0:43 used to be a Turkish fruit/flower market but it looks like it’s changed hands, no more buying flowers on the way home from school 😢
The biggest + is that they both have washer/dryer units in them. That 2nd 1 tho ..... that's not a kitchen, it's a snack area. & that bathroom window needs to be frosted bcuz no one needs to see someone sitting on the toilet when they're out on the deck. Wonder whose window is also right by the deck. If it's not yours you better hope the other tenant likes you. The beverage cooler in the middle of a room is an interesting design choice. Obviously an afterthought so they could say the vplace has 1. Rents are decent but I'd pass. You can definitely do better than these
Now, that I agree with. One could do better in Harlem than these two choices but if "push comes to shove" they aren't too bad of an option. Alex did "okay" with these two given many of his past submissions. Also, YES! I loved how the Landlord did not overlook the important need of a BEVERAGE COOLER! LOL!!!
Awesome job cash see you on Sunday enjoy your days off my friend
Well we know you did your best to sell these however neither one of them made a homerun. Fun seeing you and Alex in the morning though😊
Right in my neck of the woods, Cash! I work just off 103rd! Super great to see somewhere affordable amongst everything else
If you rent here in my town, you don't get the stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, the beverage cooler thing. You won't get any of that in your apt. You're lucky that they put a toilet in the bathroom.😊
Where is your town?
It’s the Texan again… I just love watching these tours by Cash… but I could never live that small… everything in Texas is bigger!
Things might be bigger in Texas, but you spend half your life in a car trying to get anywhere on your gigantic highways and no public transportation. No thanks. I'll take smaller but walkable and more public transport any day of the week. I don't need a 4 car garage, six bedrooms and swimming pool. Then I have to FILL all those rooms and take care of that pool! Why do Americans always think bigger is necessarily better?
@@bradleyschmidt7190 fiberglass unground pools are easy to maintain!
Must admit, I have too much STUFF! Yes, it’s easy to do with all the space available, lol, I plan on taking only half of my stuff when we downsize after kids done with college.
@@bradleyschmidt7190 ALL Americans or Texans?

Hey 👋 Cash
Love your Channel
Cash, it’s time to cash-out the word “cheap”. You’re selling a narrative on a city that requires one to earn $130k per year, to attain a one bedroom. Which pans out to 30% of ones annual earnings. C’mon now. The city doesn’t have cheap apartments. Room share isn’t cheap either.
Facts!
Alex does a great job along with Cash.
dude can you please put the real price in the title of the video. a good amount of people will take this as false advertising not only does not everyone want roommates. there are some people who have families looking for three bedrooms. and to keep doing your videos like this is wrong. people see the titles thinking man that is cheap rent for a big place might skip a good amount of the video but the part about the real price will go to get info for the apaprtment only to be told. no this apartment is not $1200 but instead over $3000. lucky for me seeing the title makes me automatically now the price you put is a lie. but not every will think that.
Good Day !
The hideous gray bathroom tile I've seen in tons of these Apts.. I wonder if it's the same landlord? Fun tour from Cash as usual..
Alex looks like a young Bob Saget!😊
ugghhhhh, I just resigned my daughter's lease for a 3-bedroom apartment in Harlem. I wish we would've seen this one first.
Should have contacted cash lol
Paying bills and taxes is a sin. You should live off grid in an electric RV trailer or in a Futuro house.
-2:22 (how did u even find that like u always see the best apartments in the world tbh :0)
"i know, i know. i don't know." - this guy is brilliant.
The first one would be ok for a family
If social security is around 900 it's not enough to pay rent in NY NY crazy rent there
Like both of them. Good prices. Pity that #2 has no prep space at all or a place to rest a plate or pot. I'm sure that could be worked around.
Hmm... actually not bad given the pricing. The first one at $3800/month (fourth flr. walk-up) isn't too bad except for the unreachable cabinetry in the snack area. Where could one put a step ladder without tripping over it? I liked how the Designer opened the counter area to act as a table with stools rather than place a cabinet there. That's a thoughtful design. But the unit works best as a two bedroom but three people could function in it. The second unit at $3400/month (the Easy-Bake kitchen would definitely become a conversation piece) that looks like a two-floor walk-up is doable but that small bathroom with all of those mirrors (cleaning nightmare) and facing that small outdoor space (which I liked) would be an issue. I can't envision queen sized bedding in any of those bedrooms.
The first apartment is better in many ways. The second apartment, you would need something to obscure that bathroom window or the world and his wife will see your ASSets. And the room with the deck access in that second apartment is going to be difficult to use as a bedroom, might be better as a lounge or dining room.
Cash, nice to know you here. I’ve really enjoyed watching few of your your fascinating videos. May I ask you for a favor? You know it’s quite far from home, and it’s gonna be my first time, first life in NYC for pursuing my graduate study at Lincoln Center. I’m going to NYC on a very limited budget, and I wanna keep my annual rental budget below $10K. I’d like to look for a small and comfortable apartment nearby Fordham Uni because I like walking to Uni than taking a sub-train. Do you have few best options? Thank you in advance, Cash.
I’m learning that most NYC apartments are the same. Odd layouts, exposed brick accent walls, wood floor, gray paint, same Bosch w/d, small kitchen with more appliances then counter space, small bedroom size living area, nearly identical gray tile bathrooms, and frosted glass bedroom doors.
Wrong
That is a very accurate description.
@@MissCane9 nope
@@mtp715 9/10 of the apts shown in Cash’s videos all have these characteristics
I wish Cash would flash up overhead floor plans.
The fourth-floor walkup is an odd layout, with the shared bath intimately close to the living area and the "balcony" off one bedroom. We didn't see one of the bedrooms, and it looked like it may lack a window to make it legal. The second apartment is really cramped with no kitchen counter space and its outdoor space is accessed from a tiny bedroom. I do like the laundry machines in both units, and the fixtures are new, but these are places to rent only until you find something better. It's hard to picture three people sharing either of them.
Cash, I thought about you a few weeks ago. We rented a condo for a ski trip. Guess what? No sink sprayer in the kitchen!
First time in my life that I hear Harlem referred to as the upper east side. If that's accurate, it's come up a few pegs.
No. It's not accurate. East Harlem is the Hood
I love your videos....such an inspiration
I'd go for that "Oklahoma BBQ" right now! All that can be found in SF, is dry ass Memphis BBQ and it's just not as good at all!
Sooo glad that I left NY! Rent prices is absolutely out of control, and there's no benefit for what you pay! High crimes rates, over run with rodents, and crowded. I just don't understand the logic to want to stay out there
The crime rates are lower in NYC than in most red states/cities. Much lower then all of Louisiana, and even parts of Florida like Jacksonville.
Pigheaded are flocking in regardless.
5:30 "sink sprayer around the forth floor too"
ok so he is saying it's PER PERSON, so the whole apartments don't cost as little as he said. the 3 person at 1100 each, thats a 3k apartment. soooo not cheap at all
Misleading $1200 per person for 3 people 🥴
I think I would want to put some kind of wall hanging or picture over some of those windows so that I had something nice to look at instead of the view out of the window. Perhaps scenery that I would like to see if I look out the window instead of what's really there.
Like both options.
Back in the day these apts are just $1000/month. I thought was way over-priced. I still think they're over-priced. Just like New York City, it's over-priced!!!
Amazing prices
Alex Bruni, yum.
I wonder how any furniture can squeeze through the 2nd apt’s tiny entry door?
I lol'd at the restaurant name "Burritos y mas"
Nice the first one with a good roommate 2 people
Do these generally have utilities included? I love watching these to see where different restaurants are located in the city.
