Words of advice, if you upgrade any suspension arms or hubs to billet, upgrade the screws to stainless steel in the turnbuckles front & rear.. saves you a lot of headache when the stock screws start to break. Also Upgrade the diffs and you can put any power to these little guys and it will take it. Enjoy man!
@MrMeDos much love gonna go billet on a speed run build but for general bashing I'm keeping upgrades minimum gonna do diff upgrade, metal cvd, aluminum shocks and thats all for the basher, the speed run boi is getting all possible but gonna keep it at 2-3s so it survives the parking lot basing
Super nice run on the grass with such a small RC. Sorry to see you lost the rear diff but you really seam to enjoy digging into your cars and making them run better. Go Arrma.. Send this man some new diffs lol.
Thanks man. Wrenching is therapy for me. Im at peace when I working on my RC’s and Im Joyful when I get to run them even in 100+ degree weather or if it ends in something broken 🤣🤣🤣… i love the hobby bro
Awesome video I have both of my Mohaves in all of my up grades except the diffs HH tells me Nov to expect not good will work with what I have my time is limited with working in my Auto shop LoL Thanks for all the tips
Thanks man. Yeah i figured to run mine as far as i could until they break. On road ease into the throttle helped save mine this long. But the moment i hammered it off road, well you see how long they lasted. Gota go metal diffs . Try ebay or maybe local shops. I had to steal a pair from my granite grom and put the stock back in the granite until i can get a couple pairs for my mohaves. Sux for sure..
Yeah arrma screwed up design with plastic cups diffs that notch into other parts and breaks almost instantly… I fought for months , to get metal diffs with horizon mutiple orders, then cancelled them, then no contact from horizon then they charge me and ship them out 3 months later when it was suppose to be cancelled way in advance when they told me not really in stock although website said mutiple times it was.. so I got charged but I did get some sets of diffs…. Now I’ll never deal once again with horizon anymore… they don’t care about customers… I had to play email tag for months repeating the same darn thing over and over..
Yeah HH has terrible customer service and shipping service. I feel your pain man. My mohave preorder is still pending. I ordered two the very first day you could. Order Still open. Smh .. your definitely taking a risk ordering anything from them that is a hot selling item. You may or may not ever receive it. All my diffs i purchased locally or thru ebay.
When i added it to the rear only, it seemed like it handled worse because the rear wheels moved as one but the front diff was stock and it was hard to control. So i put a second diff locker in the front. It straighten up the drive for sure, speed runs on road, power slides and drifts was nice but of course you lose that independent wheel rotation that you need for controlled turning. Its for sure fun to lock the diffs but I dont recommend it for bashing. Unfortunately i haven’t created a vid with both diffs locked.
