I love that you review stuff like this, as well as the ridiculous pro high end rc's. It shows you really are an enthusiast, and actually try it all. Still my top tier RC youtuber, keep up the killer work!!
My family had so much fun with the pop can RCs. Cheap enough to buy a bunch. Made a track using household obstacles over a large area all over the floor, then eventually rope-lined track. Good competitive fun and have held up after many, many hours of racing. All still work perfectly without problems! Fast charges lasted a good amount of time.

@@TomleyRC All good, as for cheap rc's i recently rescued a Traxxas vxl ken block rally 1:16th scale from the e-waste container so that's my 2nd Traxxas I've gotten for free now. (Apparently just needed to charge the battery & it's missing a battery lid for the remote.) It has a bit wobbly c-hub on the rear right but otherwise drives ok & shocks are a bit too soft so had to crank the preload for it to not bottom out just accelerating & braking. And an original Tamiya Boomerang which also came from that e-waste container at the recycling center. Which I'm slowly working on, i need more ball bearings for the transmission to be fully ballraced, a new chassis & front bumper as the mounts for the front bumper on one side of the chassis & opposite side of the bumper are broken. Bodyshell & wing if i can't strip the paint off without damaging the bodyshell, i unfortunately made the rear wing a bit hazy using alcohol without looking it up if it would damage it but got plenty of the paint removed from it, might go quick & dirty using plastidip on the outside of the bodyshell & wing as it will be a runner anyway. First one i found is a Traxxas 1:10 gravedigger that had no servo saver, battery hold down piece & bodyshell. Got hold of a 3s lipo & a cheap 80a brushless esc used late may so I've been enjoying running that with my old 3300 kv 3650 motor i had sitting around. And re-used my old 2.4 ghz radio from another car that's in disrepair atm, really hoons now but still haven't gotten a bodyshell for it heh.
always like seeing the toy grade stuff get reviewed (also your video goes from stereo to mono sound after the merica joke then back to stereo a bit after )
Most kids actually dont need hobby grade rcs to have fun, what they need is something unbreakable, though I have said it before, have seen the 1/43rd scale $20 rc, that things amazing for the price. One often doesnt get proportional throttle and steering at that price. And it wont break if dont jump it.
The digger is actually sick for the money, that's insane. $13 USD for just a model that size is fair, working electronics for the money is completely nuts. Ez buy, thanks tom
Taiyo /tyco did the Canned Heat range in the 90s/00s. They were actually pretty cool. Decent models too so they look pretty good just sitting on a shelf :)

Good video! I believe these RCs do have a role to play in the RC hobby. One of these little cheap toys may be all that's needed to get a kid or even an adult into the hobby.
