Have you ever considered experimenting with a solo speed run? I was playing around with that some time back, and it seemed like there could be potential for time saves. Still using a fairy for a free early War God, and Elrik for the Snap, but still. Mostly solo.

I've done the solo run as a fun challenge but I don't think it's any good for speedrunning. Happy to hear your thoughts though.

@@CoffeePotato Well my sum of best is 10 minutes faster. You could save another couple minutes by getting an orb as a buried treasure but that's pretty unlikely. There's always the chance I've overlooked something else too.

@@JorfDB I was theorizing a strat a while ago that may be dumb, or could be useful. But... theoretically you could get a compound crossbow on the tier 3 tile in Solea, and combining the big hitter buffs, could theoretically save some time sniping some of the bosses, while using Fist Fight on the close ones. I had set it up once a while ago, but it required insane intro luck, basically getting Miracle, Embodiment, Fist Fight, War God, Berserk, Initiation, Preservation, Centurion, MOTE, and Sniper before Formido. Using water element, setting up for strength (though it seemed Fist Fight scales better with Agi for some reason when I tried that?), One shotting a fairy for emblems and dominance using the tile element bonus on the right side of the map for consistent KO there. When all was said and done, the crossbow seemed to save a lot of time on Kill All maps, especially vs faeries, though all of this does basically bank on the idea of skipping Deneb, so no Orbs. The hope is that later you can keep punching with Elenor to use her as a rechargable orb, but I never tested that far.
I meant to test it once my new gadget gets here, along with finally finishing TO Remake at Level 1 😬

@@CoffeePotato I'd be interested to see you try but it sounds like way too much setup and not worth skipping Deneb. I thought about fishing for a trident because it's relatively high power early on but it turned out starting with fist fight emblem was just as good if not better. If you ever get around to it I could give you my list of lowest # of turns along the my route. GL with Level 1

I don't get it, I followed the criteria on game forums to accomplish the +A ending but I did not get the secret ending at the end it just proceeded to go to the menu screen. Is there something I missed?

Could be many things. Was eleanor alive? Did she have her pearl necklace? Did you revive her and make her a "normal character"? Did you fulfill the under hours requirement? Did you kill 50 enemies with Alphonse? Did you let your characters die more than 5 times? That last one is the most common because most guides tell you it´s 10 but it´s actually 5. Did you choose A both times eleanor questions you in the story? Was Eleanor in both battles with Shaher and if so, was she dead or petrified when the battles were over?
