Thank you, im glad that you like them :) Technology is fairly long down my list of favorite Strategy Cards for Round 1 with this faction. But if I had to take it, I would probably go for Sarween Tools for the Production discount, and it is needed for Dreadnought II, and then probably get 2 blue techs afterwards (again to get Dread II). Good luck on Sunday, I hope that you win!
Hey there! Finally won my first game of TI and your thoughts and advice were a great help! I only realized during the game how powerful and well rounded this faction is. They really have a lot of powerful perks with only little downsides to them. Having this many action cards in my hand opened up so many options that made it completely impossible for my enemies to predict my next move. And being able to EFFORTLESSLY stall every round so that I could just do my thing with everyone else only being able to watch almost felt a little unfair. I'm not qualified to judge of they are a top tier faction but it is at least very straightforward and easy to understand how to play them and this already helps a lot in such a complex game. Fantastic faction. Now that I know what they can do, I hope that nobody will pick them in a future game against me. :D
Congrats on the win! That's awesome, and thank you for taking the time to write me! Yes Yssaril is a powerful faction, and to some people, all those action cards can be a little overwhelming. But you managed to master them, so well played :)
Would it not be better to build a second space dock in your home planet then you only use one command point to build rather than having to use two to build on 2 seperate ones?
Nice work! That’s a really good catch on the Mech on a hazardous planet. I didn’t recognize that going in and did have to lose a few infantry in the early game. I was able to score at least one VP each round with Yssaril on my first play through. I agree that they need a fleet to back up all their action cards. The other aspect to consider is the use of the Yssaril’s agent. It will be situational based on your table’s factions, so be sure to know what the other agents can do. I was able to leverage Xxcha’s agent ability to ready three planets (one with the agent, two with diplomacy) to ensure I had enough goods during Round 1 to build plastic and research tech as strategic actions.
Thanks for the game summary. I wanted this guide to come out sooner, but Muatt and their Warsuns were in the way :D I myself have forgotten to check the other players agents occasionally during the game, and missed a few opportunities to use them. So its good to hear you made good use of Xxcha's agent. Those extra resources in the early game makes a difference :)
While Dreadnought II is always nice, the Yssaril may be the faction who has the least reason to fear Direct Hit cards since they may look at the attacker's hand before resolving the combat (if they are the defenders of course), so you know if there is any risk in using Sustain Damage. I'd argue that with the given techs you would research, Fighter II might also be a good pick since you're already starting with two carriers who have a lot of capacity and your flagship, if used for some covert ops, has more firepower with them as support. :)
That is a very good point! It's so annoying to fight Yssaril because of that ability :) And yes, Fighter II is also an easy unit upgrade to get for Yssaril
@@ConnorBailey-i5l I have heard of that issue before. Are you on the TTS discord server? They have a dedicated thread to try and fix these module issues
You stacked the deck right, no way in you got those cards randomly haha. That's almost the best opening a Yssaril could have! In an upcomming game I'm going to try something stupid. Pick Politics, make left neighbor speaker. Next round pick Politics and make myself speaker. Next round, Politics and make left neighbor speaker... See how long it takes until the rest of the board goes crazy.
Those were the cards I drew when I played the round prior to recording. I liked the cards, so of course I kept them in the recorded play through. But I haven't considered whether or not, they are among the best 2 cards to get :) Sounds fun with the Politics card, let me know how it went :)
Thanks For great tips, will try them this Sunday! And what do you think about going with Technology R1?

You can also do that. The advantage of having a dock further out is that you can more easily put your ships into good use wherever you need them :)

Why hazardous planets I’m confused am I missing something ? Great video
Is it due to the mechs ?
It's due to the fact you can explore them without risk of losing an infantry if you already got a mech from Stall Tactics
Fleet logistics seems terrible for yassaril am I crazy?

Are you playing this on TT playground?
No, im using TTS. Is it easy to get started on TT playground? I consider checking it out
@@essersgamingcave i tried using TTS but it doesn't load all of the models from the game.
