I really like all these futuristic genres. Combined with large scale and it's great. For me it's a perfect escapism from this boring reality. Give me space ships and hi-tech. lol
On another note this is exactly how I feel and how it seems everyone else like us that are drawn to these kinds of games/media feel. What's sad is I see nothing stopping us from living in a futuristic "sci-fi" type of society except for the focused effort of the collective to make it so.

I think we've all doubted Star Citizen, but CIG never did, they kept on pushing and look what they've made, something marvelous. I don't care if it is never going to be finished, it probably never will just like the universe of Tolkien or Dune, some things are too beautiful to be finished. Nonetheless they've made a body of art with this planet, I'll be rooting for CIG.
At least people CAN play the game. And the exploration alone is a good experience. But preselling all those ships in that manner is still a shady practice overall.

That raleigh scattering looks amazing. I got a drone video of pink clouds and sky that look just like that, so I can say it looks pretty damn realistic.
Orison reminds me of a weird bug glitch in some games, where the ground disappears, but you can still see certain parts and aspects of it. Trippy to look at. :)
It looks awesome. The only other thing I think would make it look even better are intermittent contrails and vapor clouds around the craft as it passes between subsonic and supersonic speeds while flying through atmospheres.
Make me feel a shadow of the colossus like sensation of exploration and tripping across the world to just look to the beauty in everything... And THIS IS REALY SOMETHING!

There wasn´t much interesting content after Invictus and a few annyoing bugs that kept me from playing more. I think this will change with 3.14 as CIG changed so much, so enough interesting things to test ;)
I had a Cutty Black for so long... I saved up aUEC ...Bought a Prospector in Lorville. Wow a whole new game loop in mining, there is so much potential here - so many things at 65% completion. I can see in my heart the Kernel of a great game...but my head is saying "Can they get it over the line? Its been nearly a decade...". It is running nicely at 4k on my 9600K and Titan XP.
The thing EVERYONE forgets is it takes major studios 10 years to make a game... you just don't HEAR about it until it's nearing beta. Red Dead Redemption 2 took over 8 years and it's nowhere close to this in scale. People need to pull their heads out of their butts and accept this isn't like making Tetris.

Let me just tell you, the state of the game right now, you will get very bored very quickly. There is really nothing to do in the game besides look around.
It's beautiful, don't get me wrong, the visuals are second to none, but it's dry. It's a shell of the game it may eventually be. I like glitter, but I'd rather substance. I can keep waiting while they flesh out the mechanics and keep my finger on the pulse of the Star Citizen universe for another few years. We'll see where they are then. I'm still gonna f$@# around in the game and take in the sights when I get time.

If you count the 5-8 years it takes to make a triple-A game, SC isn't over that mark by too much, but they have a ton of work to do to even get it to the original goal due to the fact that they've had to re-engineer the framework and back-end systems so many times. I'm patient enough to wait around for it, and tbh, by the time it comes out, I may have built a stronger PC by then. For now, I'll settle on wading through the verse with my laptop: Ryzen 7 4800HS, 16GB RAM, and 6GB GTX 1660Ti.

I bought the game way back when it was $45 w/ a starter ship and played 20 min of it, but that was a few years ago before I had my current laptop that can actually handle the game. I'm in the midst of a career transition, so me actually playing the game won't happen anytime soon, but again, no harm I'm checking in every now and again to see what's up.
Impressive, thank you for doing this for us. The only issue I have with Orison is that it's confusing when coming in to land; I can never determine where exactly the landing area/space port is when coming into range of the place. Anyway, I guess I'll get used to it. I know this is only phase 1 of Orison too and that more is supposed to be coming later this year so maybe it will be easier by then. Thanks again o/

I got an rx 580 gb an it Champs this game. Make sure you got arleast 16gb ram and atleast a quad core but get 6 core if budget allows

I gave up after 2 years, uninstalled and never look back. Freelancer was amazing and I thought this was gonna be essentially a remake.
