    PJ's are legit I was an 18D for 10 years 3 years in Afghanistan and I worked with these guys all the time. If I knew back then what I know now I would have went AF PJ program all the way. I tell kids all the time now who want to go special forces to look into PJ program for real its the way to go.

    PJ"S AND CCT ARE THE MILITARIES BEST KEPT SECRET! My brilliant idea (at least untill I got called out for it) was to not lead the pack or be at the end of it! I thought I was safe in the middle. As the class got smaller instructors became more.....Familiar with the remaining guys

    Also at night don't do normal push ups. Go down till your chest touches the ground, NOT BOUNCE, just a touch. With sit ups go up passed your legs, meaning sit with them open so you can pass in between them. It helps out a lot.
    Also on bunk beds you can do slanted pull ups. They're harder than you think.
    Hope you see these before you ship out.
    Also remember you have common sense. Don't be like the others and toss it out once your MTI starts yelling.
    Best of luck man.

      @@sergioflex5145 Replying really late... Sorry. I ended up joining the Army to try out for Special Forces (always wanted to be in the fight since I was a kid, so I had a change of heart). I didn't make it and was put into the 82nd Airborne. They gave me a 2 year return date, which is pretty much right now. We just returned from Iraq. I am trying out for Selection again in the next few months.
      Even if you fail on whatever you end up wanting to do, keep trying. Most people that get selected have been through it twice. The amount that don't return is massive. It's easy to give up. Just be stoic about it! It's been fun so far but I am done with infantry. Ready for the next best thing.

  • @LynchTheAC130
    @LynchTheAC130 12 років тому

    Sorry about the delay; anyway I had signed for SERE which in comparison to PJ and CCT is much easier. For pull ups, you'll have access to a piece of 1x4 I think it is or 2x4 don't know the detentions exactly. You'll use them to line up shoes during your time cleaning. Though we used them for pull up bars in the bathroom.
    You have a person on each side hold it down as you do your pulls ups.
    You can also use the clothes bags with it to act like a "log lift".
    Do some every other night.

    Thanks for the support Lynch, basic sucked as far as working out goes. A lot of people were getting chin splints for running so slow and in the concrete and we could barely workout a nice amount at a time, it would have to be 50 pushups here 50 ushups there but oh well. Now im at the school house and we start dev course the 3rd...Hooyah Ballz 2! Gator Roll!

    As a guy who found BMT as a FREAKIN JOKE at night work out.
    I'm serious. No matter how tired you are at the end of the day in Basic work out after hours. Be smart about it cause I went for Sepc Ops and washed out, so trust me no matter what you do in basic during the day you need to do more at night.
    PJ is far more difficult than it look and it looks difficult. I wish you luck and if you want any more info I'd be happy to assist.
