We only walk on it no driving. Is there a way to clean it to make it look good or is there something else that needs done. Thank you
Very good video. What is the product name and brand? My garage has 2 year of use and does not have any paint. Is necessary the firt step (the big machine)? I hope you can answer me.
Hello. I don’t know the product name but I think they said they use an “in-house” epoxy product. I believe the big machine is only necessary to remove the old layer of paint / epoxy. If you don’t have an old layer, I don’t think the big machine is required.
Hello. I just had my Pergola floor epoxy flaked in brown and sealed with clear resin epoxy. I'm assuming my flaked floor can be recoated with the same epoxy material in the future. If so, my question is after a few years, to keep this epoxy looking like new, can you re-apply more of the same epoxy on top of the flake again? If so, do you just clean and wash with soap and water or do you require a self-etching and or a bonding layer before applying the epoxy to make sure it sticks. Thx
Depending on the size of garage, it could be between $2k and $3k. Also depends on several factors; if it’s just cement with little prep needed, it could be on lower end. Ours was 3 car garage and needed to remove old epoxy floor so it was on higher end.
Can you tell what you paid? Whats your square footage and what was the cost per square foot (and what is your closest major city area)? I'm near Des Moines and just got quoted a price of $6 per square foot (February 2023). Thanks!
@@ericracz4230 $6 is probably the market price for this. Thats typically what I charge, between 5-8ft and land around 6 unless there are bigger concerns that raise the price higher to 7 or 8
Have a professional do it.. you’d have to buy degreaser and the wash the floor. Rent the grinder. Epoxy paint will run $70-100 per gallon. The chips can be very pricey for a full flake finish. And then a couple hundred for clear coat. 10 years ago I spent $1100-1200 on materials alone. Better off hiring a pro for the extra charge. It’s worth it.
After sanding the concrete floor is it ok To apply epoxy degreasing and etching? Or should I apply moisture sealer or some sealer like primer before applying epoxy?
If you feel floor needs 2 b degreased then I say do it its definitely a safe option but I would highly suggest priming the floor before laying epoxy coat 2 b safe & 2 sealer coats afterwards for better durability
@@ernztopp1360 thanks a lot for the reply. I am looking for light grey or off white coat and finish with stains like a marble like finish and glossy. Which product you recommend. Rustoleum has standard grey and tan only.
They are literally taking the entire top layer of the existing floor right off. These guys are professionals. If you're using one of those Home Depot DIY kits you wouldn't be using that big sander. The whole point of sanding the floor like that is so they don't need to worry about a chemical degreaser or an acid etch. That sander also allows them to work much quicker whereas a degreaser and acid etch you have to wait to work. Those guys sanded the existing floor off in probably about 25-30 minutes and were then ready to epoxy.

Can this be done on concave Floors like in a laundry room where there is a slight slope to the drain in the middle?
Yes

amazing

Epoxy is typically 100%solids meaning no V.O.Cs. the clear coat would have needed a respirator tho

Looks great, unlike what it took your bank account for 👍
Better to add less flakes too much can not be taken back , that also depends on the customers liking
So how much did it all cost you?
Very good is Work! 👍🇷🇺
Why do you have to apply epoxy within a few days on grinded floor ? why can't I wait longer , I am grinding my floor in 2 sections
Can we just use the roller without the squeegee when we put the epoxy
No it is to push the mass around than roller is to level the ridges roller levels it all out flat
Yes
How long do i wait to add clear coat after done spreading the epoxy
hi this is dark grey mixed flake?
Una pregunta buenos dias y q material recomienda para hacer ese trabajo en mi garaje se lo agradeseria gracias
So they don't go all the way to the edge with the grinder? That's where the floor is going to fail.
Trash
How many liters do you need for what you made?
Damn i would love to do this for my garage but i got gym equipment machine in there. I can’t let that outside of my garage for 3 days lol
I have everything from my garage outside right now, Tarped over and just checked yesterday, all still dry.

After 24 hours after the first layer is poured it’s not wise to pour again without scuffing the surface of the epoxy.
