This is the original edit. Some people are using this clip as if they edited it and renaming the clip:
David Bowie is the consumate gentleman when it comes to interviews and a true professional on the stage. But even he can get fed up sometimes... here's a few clips showing him doing just that and where the interviewers get owned by the master.
Bowie is renown for being a little difficult but when you see why he's answering the way he is, you'll understand why. Many interviewers would ask silly & personal questions especially in the 70's & he's just not the sort of guy to put up with it. When an interview is fun he's incredibly charming and witty.
I just wanted to show he's human and show how tiresome some interviews are. And as has been pointed out; these clips are the only ones I could find out of the thousands of hours and 40 years of Bowieness, where he's a little fed up. Not bad going Mr Bowie.
(The concert footage was due to many factors; voice, band problems, technical problems, g/f problems.)

Bodacea1 Yes exactly. The interviewer Russell Harty was a complete prat constantly trying to belittle Bowie every chance he got. The end clip was when the sound equipment wasn't working and the crowd was booing and he didn't even want to perform there to start with (or something like that). I've never seen a single clip of him actually angry about anything. Even so, he was only human after all. A very composed one at that.

I was eating at a table near him in '82 (working as an extra). He was about to start his breakfast. 2 little ladies wanted a photo "Could you turn around Mr. Bowie?" "Could you cross your legs and pose like this..." He just quietly said under his breath "I'm not a doll ladies!" I just cracked up laughing! Awesome guy.

Honest man. Every time he felt the interviewer was trying to lick his boots he simply put him down. He was "no hero", he said it, he meant it. He HAD BEEN like those teenagers who wished they'd appear in a movie, he said it, he was proud of it! He was proud of truth. He disliked 'bullshit' or people trying to manipulate your persona and put a label on you.
He was also quite ironic, sometimes interviewers took that as some sort of an offence to their power... he wasn't offensive, he was classy. Ironic and classy. And honest. I never heard him say a single fake piece of stuff. Never. I may not like all his repertoire, but I admired the man.

Bowie didn’t suffer fools gladly. And he hated playing ‘pop star’. Like many, he believed that a skilful, thoughtful interviewer could offer the viewer insights into the artist & his work, but too often they were just fishing for headlines or asking the same vapid questions he’d answered a thousand times. There are many good interviews with him, particularly when the interviewer was intelligent & asked interesting questions.
But even when they were being twats he answered with good humour, often attempting to make the interviewer understand what a dumb, repetitive, or overly personal question he was asking.
Bowie was a true artist, a highly intelligent man, & a consummate wit. The world is a much poorer place since he left it.

I truly miss David Bowie so much! I saw him 8 times in concert and he was phenomenal to say the least! In 87, The Glass Spider Tour, my bf purchased tickets at the last minute and the only seats he could get were the ones behind the stage in Madison Square Garden. It didn't matter to me because I was there for another concert and they had him up on the screen which was fine. Anyway he had walked to the back of the stage, looked up and I waived at him and to my surprise he waived back. I was thrilled. I started liking him at the age of 12 because I could see such a different , unique and talented individual. I've always loved him then and of course now, and I'm 56, and will forever! Always wanted to meet him in person and that didn't happen so hopefully someday I will on the other side!

David handled Harty with signature style, and intelligence.
