1320Video is back with another Experience video! In this video we traveled to Naples, Florida to check out Swamp Buggy Racing. There is a handful of different classes but the Promod buggies really caught our eye! They've got 1000HP big blocks and they RIP through water! They're essentially half car, half boat. Such a wild motorsport to witness!

What's the Over/Under for when Cleetus gets into this?
100%
Hope so
Show him the video and he'll have one next week...😂
I’m betting a helicopter is next, then maybe a jetsprint boat.
@@RyanMcIntyrehe has a helicopter already, it's what he was hiding on the 1320 "cribs" episode
The Outlaw is my father! His name is Eddie Chesser! He holds 11 Bud Cup Championships under his belt. Thank you 1320 for coming and showing the rest of the world how we do things down here in Naples, FL. Hope to see you guys here again real soon!!!
Agreed, those modified motors are more like stock car life at drag rpm in the water Chessirs the legends of the Mile of Mud!!
He won’t, not fast enough. Kool to watch once or twice and that’s it.
Congrats on the win and what seems to be a great innovation to a guy who just witnessed these amazing races with the awd. Sooo glad for your pops and glad to see 1320 put something new and also amazing out to people who have never seen it before. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Happy to see Eddie take the win this is cabana dans son btw
I remember the name from back in the 90s
I remember watching these races on TNN back in the early 90s
Same!
yea used to watch these all the time, sadly they don't air them anymore.
Same !
I saw this on Speed back in like 2008-2009
That and Monster Truck Racing.
I appreciate you guys showing these different types of racing.
Props to Rodney too, seemed like a hella cool guy and did a nice job of teaching us the basics
Just goes to prove that Rednecks really know how to have a good time!!! On the Average, Rednecks are generally happier and more content people than "Woke" Weenie- Snowflakes!!!
I truly appreciate the fact that 1320 is branching out and covering different styles of racing.
Comment of the day for the algorithm.
From MN I heard about a swamp buggy on the new JRE. Rednecks are already racing them. God bless rednecks this is so fricken cool 😎
Used to watch them race on tv. but no one covers the racing anymore. Love how they run through the sippy hole like it is nothing.
As a Floridian, thank you. We love the swamp buggy races!
The greatest state with the greatest governor!
I fondly remember Steve Evans interviewing Leonard Chesser (Dat's Da one) back in the 80's. Really glad you guys decided to continue the tradition after all this time. Awesome vid. Thanks.
Swamp Buggys, Monster Trucks
Yup Me Too
Hell Yeah Brother
Lol. I remember that
Lol
Florida, always holding down the true American profile! Love every minute of this
Lol 😂 the redundancy of this lol just get a boat 🚤 engineering simplified
@@user-yi2uv2rb7o to be fair, a lot of South Florida water levels are dependent on rain. You can go from 6 feet to 6 inches in a second. As a native Floridian, there have been a few times I've beached a jet ski and some promod tires would have been big help. 😂
I haven't seen any coverage of this motorsport since the days of Speed Channel on TV good to know it's still around
Ah man this takes me back to the late 80s early 90s. My dad constantly had the VCR set to record ESPN all weekend back when they showed awesome content like this. My favorite was always the swamp buggy races!
hell yea, loved all the grassroots stuff they used to show.
I couldn't remember what network covered these when I was a kid but you just reminded me exactly what network and why it was on my TV. Good Ole dad lol.
@@picklefart it started with original ESPN. TNN picked up many of the same programming throughout the 90s and then speed network picked up much of the same after that.
@@DunnDifferent Yep, "American Sports Calvalcade" used to come on right after "Two Gays Garage". 😂
@Reanu Keeves yes
I suggested this a while back, im stoked to learn about this. I love the fact that 1320 is sharing all kinds of different motorsports now. The channel has always been my favorite, but this new direction is so sick.
I too suggested it since I grew up watching it and still live here.
Back in the early 2000 I used to build headers for these guys. I was told at one point just about all big block had my headers on them. I remember correctly one of them was Lonnie Chestler (SP). These guys build almost everything themselves. I have always wanted to see them in person. Hopefully some day soon I can. All of them were always super nice people.
Dunn is a legendary name is Drag Racing and Big Horsepower motorsports. Lonnie's Buggy the Terminator was always a serious contender and dunked that queen in the mud a few times.
Lonnie Chesser is my grandfather, and the father of this race winner, Eddie Chesser, driver of The Outlaw. The first Outlaw was Lonnie’s. My family has been building buggies for many years. It’s awesome to see other people love this sport as much as we do!
sometimes i miss racing buggys. crazy to see 1320 there . watched them since the beginning and met fred and kyle multiple times . never in a million years did i think he'd cover buggy
I've never seen this type of racing before glad they could use there channel to get more eyes on this, it looks super rowdy
@@wcovey25 yo, back in the 90's this stuff was shown on tv on the weekend mornings, would watch this and supercross all the time. Was great
Who else remembers back in the late nineties early 00’s when these used to be on TNT AND spike tv
I live in Australia. This racing should definitely be introduced here. Those vehicles are WILD!
Would be a perfect fit on a slightly modified V8 Superboat course
@@rodolfotomarchio410hell yeah, with superchargers borrowed from their Holdens.
as a british man this it the most american sport i’ve ever seen. thank god for you yanks 😂👏🏻👏🏻
*Most Florida shit you ever seen*
I used to watch this every Sunday 25 years ago when I was a kid. So glad to see it back again, thanks 1320❤
Finally some swamp buggy racing. That red bull buggy is bad ass. I really enjoy going to these races.
Thanks for featuring all kinds of crazy racing classes! You rock ❤
This is one of those hold my beer (not Bud Light) and watch this moments!!!
They have enough water there already!
I used to watch this racing before you guys were born! 😊
Hey! I'm old too LOL
Awesome you are showing the racing I grew up watching in Naples Fl, born and raised in this town and love swamp buggy racing
Used to watch swamp buggy racing on tv in the mornings on weekends as a kid! Forgot all about it. This is EPIC!
We need a way to influence gen z and beyond to bring racing back! Gotta stop all these track closures😢
You guys did a great job covering this sport.. please come back
I remember watching these kinda races on tv like 10+ yrs ago 😎👍
I remember watching these on NBC sports like 40yrs ago. Damn I’m old.
30yrs for me back on ESPN 90s
TNN Sports Cavalcade for buggies and SPEED Channel for F1🍻
It was TNN The Nashville Network for me
. As a kid into all things cars growing up in the "80's, even in Inglewood, Ca good Ole' TNN was the channel of choice since it had all the rad car races and shows!! even the M.M.B. races.
Thank God this sport is still alive!!
Didn’t even know this was a thing but now I’m sold lol
Brings me back to sunday mornings watching TNN
Thanks for recognizing the Swamp Buggy stuff. Loved going to them as a kid.
I commented this before, but you guys should shoot the tractor pull this year in Bowling Green Ohio August 17th 18th and 19th). The unlimited class has up to 5 blown alcohol engines that have a total HP of around 12-15000. That's right thousand. It's a must watch and most of the guys would welcome interviews and cameras.
I remember watching swamp buggy racing on American Sports Cavalcade in the 80's and 90's. My favorite buggy was called Shagnasty. Still just as much fun to watch.
That’s my dad!!
@@SimsRacing Oh cool. Is he still racing? Are you racing a buggy?
@@flyinbrianz22 no he doesn’t but I do
@@SimsRacing I'll have to watch for you!
I remember that buggy as well😂
If you have never been there in person to watch that at least once in your life, you have not lived! It is indeed a great time if you are into motors or racing at all!
Man. Totally forgot about this. Used to watch this on actual, no kidding television. So much good times!
Too much fun guys!
Many moons ago swamp buggy racing was on TNN.
Real glad it's stood the test of time.
Great coverage!
Ralph Shaheen was on that coverage back in the day. They were a great crew
Haven’t seen the swamp buggies in a lining time. They’ve gotten faster and just way more awesome! Thanks 1034 videos. Love all your Motorsport coverage!
I grew up in naples and it was wild in the 80s lol power has just gotten biger and the buggies have gotten lighter
Grew up in Naples and went to every single race growing up! You wouldn’t think a high class city like Naples would have these types of races and we keep them hidden for our enjoyment! Thank you for coming out!
I'm glad you're finally went down there filmed at I know all about Naples swamp buggy races that's where I was born and raised I'm 57 years old and I haven't seen it in thirty years I've been living in Jacksonville Florida thank-you 1320 you brought back a lot of memories for me
Love sitting at home on a Friday night drinking beer and watching this sort of stuff!!!
That was wet and wild!
Thanks gentlemen 🙏
Way to go 1320 swamp buggy racing is bad ass been watching it for years. Glad to see you cover it. Love y’all.
this brings back memories i grew up watching swamp buggy races
Swamp buggy racing always reminds me of the "and they walked away" vhs tapes from back in the day who else remembers those lol
Old school
Well that was a HELL OF A GOOD VIDEO....Thanks for Sharing....SUPER FRICKING COOL!
I love how you guys cover ALL types of racing. Keep up the good work!
Racing is fun! Any kind! Thanks guys for taking us with you! 😝👍🏻👍🏻
I live 30 min from the track and have been going for 30 years. Its awesome to see you guys out there sharing this with the world.
I remember watching these races on TV in the 80s... good times
This is a little bit off the normal 1320 spectrum but I like it! I used to watch these when I was younger but now I have to start watching it again.
Thanks Guys!! I have never even heard of this kind of racing. It looks like a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing!
i wanna see 1320video, go and see Icelandic style, Formula Offroad racing, with their twin turbo, Ford V8's, 1600HP, AWD, paddle tires, and NOX, to get over the water parts, without sinking! everything, should be very new to u there, too :)
Hearing the word Sippy hole brought back so many memories of the TNN days.
I remember watching this when I was younger. I thought they stopped doing it. Thanks 1320 for showing this. Now I know to find it and start watching it again. God bless.
It's good to see 1320 getting out there & bringing different racing to the channel, these swamp people were having a blast!😁🤓😎
I used to watch these races back in the 90's all the time. Was bummed when they were no longer televised, always enjoyed how unique they were.
The Too much fun buggy at the end is called a full track. The owner of that track is Peter hora and he's an absolute legend
Welcome to Florida!
👊🏻💪🏻

Fellow freedom loving Floridian here!
First time i watched one of these races was in 1995 i was on a month long RV vacation with my family, we stayed some place in Nevada and it was on TV. 13 yr old me was amazed.
Awesomeness . I lived in "Golden Gate" (in Collier County, Fl.) and used to drive a little down the road to watch the buggies here at least twice a year. That was from around '88-'92. Great fun, great people and just all around great times ! Thanks for bringing back the good memories !
Good sportsmanship by the number 145. Played the roll perfect
This was unexpectedly DOPE! Thanks Fred!
Straight up hitting a jet boat track with wheels lmao. Love it
I love all the different types of racing you all are covering!
This was some killer content that was different. Great job guys getting new content for your channel. Thanks for this was great to watch.
That was awesome. I have heard of swamp buggy racing but have never seen it before. Thank you for introducing it to the rest of us. Can’t wait for the next one.
Im so glad they are still doing this. The first time I saw it, 25 years ago, had to have been the first time my dad got cable. We still had vhs camcorder, and my dad used it like a vcr to record ESPN2 late at night, and I would watch it with him the next day. I had never seen anything else quite like it
Nice to see Naples FL getting some love with the races
Little Ole Naples showing out for the world
Awesome! I’d love to see a World of Outlaws feature. Those sprint cars are insane. Been throwing drift wheelies for decades
Letting the kids check out the buggies after the race is awesome as hell!
Ive been to the Swamp buggy races for pretty much my whole life and I love it
This is the most "florida" thing I've ever seen. So cool
Thanks for covering this guys. I bet its been 30 years since I'd seen swamp buggies.
Awesome video. Used to watch swamp buggies on speed channel. Miss seeing them.
First time I watched the Friday Night racing, I was impressed how seriously they take their safety. During the Jeep race, a jeep climbed up the side of another jeep and flipped on its side in the sippy hole. Every jeep stopped and everyone dove into the water to upright the jeep
I remember watching this as a kid at my father's house. Glad y'all keep doing different motorsports at times. Next on my bucket list for ya is ultimate hill climb. That is truly crazy!
Thank you so much for this video! Grew up watching this!
I love swamp buggy racing, used to watch it on tv decades ago and I needed to be reminded of it!
Watched these on tv many years ago. Even built a model out of Legos ! Definitely unique vehicles !
I've been wondering if this sport was still going on. I figured it was but I remember watching this on TV when I was a kid. Wether it was on ESPN or something I loves it. Thanks for the ride down memory lane👍
"Heat Seekin Rican" is the best name ever.
Iam not 100% on what's exactly happening here. But iam 100% sure I love it. Hell yeah awesome coverage 1320 🤘
Haven’t seen this in a long time always loved it! Thanks!
Awesome that you are covering this sport! I remember my dad and I watching Steve Evans coverage years ago. Glad to see it’s still a “thing” and I hope your coverage increases the interest. I will definitely let my gear head buddies know it’s coverage is back and on 1320!
Don’t forget Brock yates also
The sprint boats like what Cletus went and raced are pretty cool to watch to this is a great video way to go 1320
such a cool thing ive never seen before
That was awesome guys, thanks for sharing.
Haha that was amazing. Thanks for widening the motorsport culture!
Omg! Love some swamp raceing and add 1320video. Awesome cool!
Florida man approved 👌🏻
I have watched this since I was a kid with my dad and grandma I'm 38 and it still one of the greatest things in the world to see if a monster truck and a boat had a baby that is what you get 😊
I want YOU to come back. O saw this back in the "60's and it was cool then. It's great to know it's survived. We need to make the loops a figure "8" and bigger so the inside lane isn'tt always the winner.
Thank you! This is my hometown!
ill bet CLEETUS would love this.
I loved it talk about 1320 stepping out the side, the box would really love to see sprint cars, the ins and outs/set up’s, that would be GOLD mate👍
I remember watching Swamp Buggy racing on either ESPN or TNN and it was always a blast to watch. These still look similar to the ones I remember from 20+ yrs ago, but boy are they faster.
I haven't seen these races in years used to watch them a lot
Dumping the swamp queen at the end...hilarious. She was such a good sport about it, like this is just what we do. So good
You guys should cover the Chili Bowl in Tulsa. In the middle of January. Dirt track racing inside an expo center a whole week straight. The final day all 300+ cars race, they start at like 8am and race all day until 12am
I don't know the ins and outs of swamp buggy racing, but the dude covering this, did a great job!
