Fred, you got to remember when that dragster was built. Drag racing was A lot better than it is today. It required innovation and testicular fortitude
It’s fun to drive but it needs a lot more power. It’s boring the way it was running this year

Gotta say the bug is my favorite. My big brother had a 73 beetle when I was growing up and we had the body removed from another one for ripping around the farm.

There was a funeral home in my town that had "PEOPLE ARE DYING TO DO BUSINESS WITH US" airbrushed on the back of the Hearst.
In funny fact, an X girlfriend of mine from high school bought the funeral home years later, and lives there with her family to this day.
That RX-7 is gorgeous! That green really suits the car and the fitment and finish on the SSR Professors is perfect.

The damn nitrous wouldn’t work on my dragster all weekend. We never did figure out why it wouldn’t work. We tested it in the pits and it would work but for some reason we couldn’t get it to work once we were on the track.
As a Navy vet I really appreciate and love that BMW Go Navy!

There has been R32/R33 and R34 LS kits for ages lol. R33 and R34 tunnels fit T56’s doesn’t need anything custom except mounts haha

I’ve been to a few events like this, whether it’s Burnout Pits, Donut Pits, or just regular Skid Pads, there’s been numerous times where ive wanted to scream out the location of the fire or something similar to what that guy did! 😅 Hate to see it, but unfortunately, that’s just part of the game.

33:45 The green mustang in the far lane is a Tucson AZ car, guy daily drives it to work. I can always tell how late he is in the morning based off the RPM it’s at since I hear it passing my shop every day.
The guy with the BMW drift car should know that he can use the weather stripping from one of his doors as a valve cover gasket. Hell he can use cardboard I've done that before.
It was a mess. We recently got new heads that completely changed the geometry of the top end. Even the spaces between the valve cover and heads were too short which made us have to over tighten the valve cover, which lead to it being pinched and pushing out
@@VossRacing yep that'll cause those problems. Hey at least you weren't like me and kept overfilling my engine with oil because I didn't realize that the dipstick was broken in half and I couldn't figure out why it was blowing through my gaskets and I was getting the thick blue rubber gaskets and still kept blowing oil out. Lol. That valuable lesson that I learned through all that cost me an engine and a little bit of pride.

@@jeffwoods3614that's the perfect car for parts sponsorship, nothing is hidden in an engine bay covered with a hood. Start harassing ProCharger, that would be different advertisement for them, you always see a blower on top.
