Today will be day two and before this was a bottle of wine and about 4 beers. Yesterday, I drank four beers purely because I was nervous of withdrawal.

I recently re-watched this video after I had a regression to old habits for about a month, then my dose bumped up from 50mg to 75mg, and immediately saw a change back on the right track. Do you have any more videos on "Drinking through the medicine" or other clients that have had their dosage increased? FYI I'm a 250lbs 27 yr old male, who's also recently getting into daily exercise, I'm not sure if weight/gender/activity level can effect the efficacy of the one-size-fits-all 50mg dose for different clients

I’m on my 8th week of TSM, and my craving is pretty much gone. I drink one glass of wine a day now. It feels so good liberating to not be preoccupied by alcohol anymore.

In my mind Dr. Sinclair should be awarded a Nobel Prize for Medicine. I am serious. Why?
Just consider that Alcoholism isn´t existing only in modern times. Because Alcohol has been utilized for thousands of years. And are predecessors were pretty like us. So add up what atrocities all happended / were committed by alcoholics.
How many lifes ruined or lost. What economic damage caused ... The list could go on and on...
So, worth a Nobel Prize for Medicine? Absolutely!

I just convinced my boyfriend to get on this - he was an angry and violent drunk! The only days he could abstain from drinking were days he felt too sick and hungover. 4 days on this medication and I'm blown away!!! He hasn't had more than a few beers before saying "do we have anything more tasty to drink?" It's like he's been hypnotized or something. It's like a totally different person!!! I am SOOO grateful, as the person who suffered the most from his addiction. ❤ It's good to know about the ups and downs, I will make sure he is aware and that we stick with it through it all. Thank you for sharing!

Update 2 weeks in and I'm so happy with the results. Only a few nights where he drank a little more, but nothing too crazy. I am confident that this is going to work for him and literally save his life (and maybe mine!) :/ He was a very scary drunk.

I can’t wait to start TSM. I had to order online because my doctor wouldn’t do it
Update: day one on TSM. I ate my lunch, took my pill, and set the timer on my phone for an hour. I had a bottle of Chardonnay chilling in the fridge. I normally drink 2-3 bottles a day for reference. I did everything you said and it was a noticeable difference right away. I thought the wine tasted a little different but I am not really sure. I was halfway through my first glass and I found that I would rather wash the dishes and clean the kitchen . I came back to my glass after I finished and tried again to see if it was still the same thing. Yup. Something about the experience was different but I didn’t know what. I found myself forcing myself into drinking it. I poured a second glass. I drank it fast this time. I couldn’t “feel” the buzz or maybe a little? I put the cork back and put it back in the fridge. I can’t remember the last time I did this! After the gym tomorrow, I will try this out again because it only works when you do the naltrexone coupled with the alcohol in order to achieve extinction. After tomorrow I’ll will wait until I get a craving to do it again. I will have AF days as they come and not force them. If you guys only could see how much wine I could drink in a day, you would be as shocked as I am! I can’t believe I am going to bed now having had only 2 glasses of wine today😮! Btw, I did not have any side effects from the naltrexone so I’m lucky. I feel very grateful to have learned about this method. I will do it exactly as directed as I want my life back. I have 20 years of drinking. I am ready now

I’m week three into the TSM. I drank a 750ml bottle of tequila every single night. I have had my slip ups, but I’ve finally been able to chain days of not drinking together, which I haven’t been able to do for years. Excited to see how this goes.

I do appreciate this comment I started in March 17 to be exact and I’ve taken the pill each time. I notice small differences like when I drink now I don’t over think I’m not overly emotional or making insane choices some days I drink a few others more but it’s once or twice a week now. I do drink hard alcohol and I was told to switch to wine beer etc but it’s just not my normal so I think Myb hard liquor may take longer. I’m just going to keep taking the medication and hope the effects will be great in the end. I do need to exercise more and get some good habits because I do believe it’s more of a habit than a want at this point!

The Sinclair Method is targeted naltrexone 1 hour before drinking. This method has a lot of research behind it to prove it's efficacy as it allows people to reach pharmacological extinction of the addiction over time. There is evidence to show it may work taken daily to help with alcohol cravings as well. So...two methods with using the medication. I am a success story of The Sinclair Method and help others through it as well. I prefer it over daily naltrexone for a number of reasons..but some people swear by daily as well. Up to you and your physician. If we can help let us know. Hope that helps! www.thrivealcoholrecovery.com/
