  • In this video you'll hear from Mac. Though he was a fast responder to TSM, it took him a few tries to finally commit to the protocol.

    Great channel and great stories....
It's great that you talk about the actual amounts your guests were drinking... Most of the other alcohol abuse channels do not specify and stay vague....

What a fabulous example of how Naltrexone can make a difference to people who decide to stop drinking completely. Mac obviously used lots of different tools and was very focus and determined, I certainly have learnt a lot from this interview.

This man is so intelligent and well-spoken. His message came through so clearly. Also, this woman is a very good interviewer. I absolutely agree with his take on AA. TSM is immediately helping me and nothing else has.

I did this without the pills. I'm sure they help and wish I had known about SM years ago. But now I don't drink because I don't enjoy it, it makes me feel bad. I fell out of love with it.

I think it's Dr Benjamin Hardy...if you search him and go to his website. He also has a UA-cam channel.

This video is very interesting. I am struggling a little with alcohol. I have a dear dear friend who is very ill due to alcohol abuse. However a year of sobriety isn’t very long. I feel like addiction recovery is a little bit like remission from cancer. In the first few years it often pops back up. Are there people like Mac who have ten years of sobriety using TSM? Any estimate of how many? Also what if someone substitutes another addiction for alcohol? Obviously Mac was using alcohol to escape from pain and numb himself. What if he substitutes cocaine for alcohol? Or even food and becomes morbidly obese?

Hello! Yes, there are many people out there with long-term success on TSM. I have lots of stories on my channel that are several years old and these people are still doing well (I stay in touch with most of them).
I’ve personally been 5 years sober through the Sinclair Method, and still feel completely cured of the addiction.
Of course, people need to find other things that fulfill them in life, and do the inner work to heal as well, but the medication works to address it at the root level inside of the brain. So people just gradually lose interest in craving for alcohol overtime. And the results are permanent. It’s pretty powerful.

@@thrivealcoholrecoveryI think my biggest question is do you just stay on naltrexone forever? Or do you all of a sudden have no need to take it? No one seems to address that in these interviews, or maybe I just didn't hear it!

I’ve watched a few of these videos, and one thing always stops me from trying it: I drink to numb emotional pain so why would I even take the pill if all it’s doing is making me able to drink without that benefit?

What’s nice about this method is that the changes are often subtle and gradual. So overtime as you take the medicine to help your brain unlearn alcohol use disorder, you will simultaneously be working to create new coping tools so that you don’t rely on alcohol so much to cope. It’s a gentle and gradual process that takes time. But you’re right, if you still want to numb out with alcohol you might not take the medication correctly or you will skip taking doses. But if you can commit to Compliance, the rest will follow with time. If you’d like to get started, get support, or just learn more here is our website thrivealcoholrecovery.com.
