Tim Lee great to hear from you. I think it's going to be a cold winter here. I find it really hard to regulate my temperature so I have to try and stay warm. Thanks David. Hope you and your family are doing well with your soon to come new addition! Crab omelette was nice, but Instead of the eggs/omelette station, imagine a Bahn Xeo station :-)
If you are worried about imposing, you could always get a seafood omelette made and then top it with your crab afterwards. The crab would be even more prominent in your bite, and then you wouldn't be asking the staff to do something that might be considered not "foodsafe" (it's nice that they've done it for you, but a customer touching something, or the crab touching a used plate, could be a potential source of contamination for their pan and then for the next customer. They always have to be extra careful with contamination).
Hi Tim. Love the video. Unfortunately we will only be in town during a weekday so we would be unable to attend the buffet. Thanks again for your great video.
There seems to be multiple layers of music going on. Probably a musician playing in the background plus the music you added? It almost sounds like a third layer too. If possible, skip the added music in the future, makes the video very difficult to listen to.
Agreed Squish and thank you for the feedback. I was struggling with figuring out how to add music. Hopefully this has been rectified with the more recent videos.... still learning and tweaking as I go and the feedback is very helpful. Thank you!

Thank John! Do give Oceans999 a visit. Probably the best in the city for their evening Opera buffet. I had a chance to go and didn't expect much; but as it turned out, it was quite an amazing evening as the performers are quite talented (and are professionals) and the food offering was very good. The view overlooking the ocean behind the performances were quite spectacular as well. Hope that helps and welcome to Vancouver!
Oh and Tim this is wise man from you tube I created second channel which is this one. Forgot to mention that in comment a few days ago. In Winnipeg one buffet is allowing self serve but must wear mask though. Hope your doing good. I only have one video 📹 because my videos aren't the quality they should be so I'm getting help from someone on you tube that goes to my church.
L. Tiangco it's tough to find something comparable to Manila or Vegas, but from my experience, if there is a special event like Easter etc, you'll find some really great offerings. While it might be pricy, I suspect the restaurants/hotels treat it as a loss leader... I went to the parq casino for their dim sum buffet as a special luner new year event and it was great. With Easter coming up, I'm heading to the Trump hotel for their Easter offering (I don't mix politics with buffets 😉) .
Hi Tim! I've enjoyed a few of your vancouver buffet videos in preparation for my trip in 2 weeks. If you were to choose one buffet, which one would you recommend over others? Thanks!
Leila K thanks for your comments 🙂. I am born and raised here so glad to help. I would suggest the Pan Pacific but for their Italian Opera Buffet on Saturday nights. It's not cheap but it offers a bit of entertainment as well. Value wise, I would suggest the River Rock casino buffet, but only for their weekend dinners or Sunday brunch (other offerings are disappointing). There are some great Sunday buffets at the golf courses, but those are way out there in the suburbs... How long are you here for and are there any cuisine you'd like to try (as well as the price range)? There are some local gems around (not buffets) if you're interested. Welcome to Vancouver 🙂
Tim Lee Thanks for your recommendations! Can't wait to try. I'll be there for a week. I like meat, but need pescatarian options for the hubs. Aside from that... totally open.

We don't have many good seafood buffets in Vancouver, but this is one of the better ones. yes, it is self serve in the buffet area, however, there is still a server that will bring you pretty much anything you want (within reason :-) ) . Sadly I was remembering that it used to be $100 a plate. That was when I was 13. I’m now 37. I think they may have realized it takes a lot more effort to live up to the price tag. So it make more sense to charge half that.

For the longest time, I've also keep bringing up a really pricey place we went to in Vegas every time we ate out.
