I'm about to do this on my 21 Acura TLX TYPE-S & was wondering if my valvetronic exhaust is closed will the start up still be loud? I'm also running an aftermarket cat back valvetronic exhaust & currently waiting on a 3inch high flow pipe which is back ordered in place of secondary cat.
Quit saying secondary cats... cuz they aren't catalitic converters.. those are a honeycomb ceramic.. what your talking about are a steel mesh resonator.. they are just to keep drone out of the cabin.. nothing to do with catalyst.. thats why they are behind the 02 sensor!!
@@sim.plevlogs Ok thanks! I put money down on one yesterday seeing if they approve me for a loan while I have a loan on my mustang as well. If all goes through I should get one sometime this week!
From what I could find, the factory exhaust (at least when it is equipped with the dual mode exhuast) doesn't have a distinct resonator. Though the very large NPP muffler seems to be a type of resonator+muffler design.
“Stealth valves closed” *still loud af* 🤣🙌🏼
Honestly it’s a good mix, good enough for a cop to think the car is stock lol 😂
Apparently those are actually resonators. The inside of those are metal rather than ceramic. So they're just sound deadeners.
Yeahb lol thats what you gotta tell the muffler shops or else they'll start whining about laws
🔥🔥🔥
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Did you get a check engine light or anything like that cuz of the secondary cat delete?
No lights at all
@@sim.plevlogs same no lights .
What size pipe did they use to replace the secondary cats??
It was the regular size of the exhaust and they just opened the ends of the pipes… i don’t remember exactly what size it’s been over a year 😳
Can you post with the aftermarket x pipes after installing?
I actually already have! Check out my recent Vidoes

Tbh not sure on your car… but on my mine honestly wasn’t that loud with the valves closed sounded stock
@@sim.plevlogs That's exactly what I want, it doesn't have to be loud on startup just when I wanna mash on the peddle. Thx for content
@@djsthemetereman anytime! 🤞🏽🙌🏽
They're not catts, but resonators.
Whatsup bro where in Cali did you find a shop to do this? I live here in the 209 area and shops don’t wanna delete my second cats! Thanks

@@azucenaviveros2443 dm me on instagram
@@sim.plevlogs I don't have Instagram, how about on Facebook?
I did this and my check engine light came on any ideas on how to fix it?
I’m assuming it’s from the mid valves you can buy a plug to conduct the sensor or have a tuner tune out the code
@@sim.plevlogs thank you!
I don’t know if those are cats, maybe resonators?
These cars come with 4 cats… they have a resonator farther back
@@sim.plevlogs Where is the resonator at? Is it in the factory X pipe?
@@evanhuskey6997 yes around the x pipe

Are the secondary cats basically the resonators?
No, just smaller cats

How do you pass emissions?
Yes I do!
Secondary cat delete will not effect smog
The things he deleted are not cats, they are resonators. I don't know why everyone calls them the "secondary cats". They are part of the AFM system.
@@hecticphusion this is for emissions, the afm valves are located else where in the exhaust
@@richardsturgis7540 no, these are the AFM valves. You will get an AFM fault if you disconnect them.
Doesn’t that mess up your warranty?
Honestly not sure lol
