    After 3 years on a Whole Foods plant-based way of eating, my Hashimoto’s and hypothyroidism went away! I went to TruNorth in Santa Rosa and had my thyroid checked and sure enough I no longer had these two autoimmune diseases! I even had my thyroid doctor check it and no issues! I had these diseases for over 35 years!!!!

    I've lost 40-60 lbs 3 times not including pregnancies. First 2 times from serious working out. When I got hurt both times I gained iron right back.
    This time I know I'll never gain it back and it's because I've changed my thinking on what food is.
    Living breathing animals and their secretions are not food. Processed food also isn't food. Only plants are food. Going on 5 years vegan and I'll never go back.
    But I need argument material and that's why I watch Dr. Gregor. It's to lay down some facts on these carnists and vegetarians.

    Every one has to do their own research. We each have unique health challenges due to past diet/lifestyle or family history or simply genetics. Eating primarily broccoli, green leafies, kale spinach, cabbage etc. Some of my favorite foods could trigger something. In my case I was blessed to get to a doctor and placed on meds thank God. I'm still plant based but my variety of vegetables have changed with heightened emphasis on legumes and fruits.😇

      God gave us certain animals for food. Meat is important for our health. The planet earth, which God created, is not gonna be better because some people love animals so much. I say eat your fruits and vegetables and meat or not. But don't try to say the planet earth would be better off for it. Praise God!!!

    • @kiwifeijoa
      @kiwifeijoa Рік тому

      The information I've seen suggests that ancient people ate mostly plants, with the energy intensive and not very effective hunting supplying only a little of their calories. The reason we think they ate meat could be because men made a major fuss about their hunt, in songs, dances, cave paintings etc. whereas the women and children went out and gathered the day's food on a consistent basis which allowed humans to survive. Archaeology supports this view. I know it's a bit disappointing that men didn’t save the day, but I guess they did protect women and children from danger, with their bulkier frame when they were at home. It's often so difficult to let go of myths that we are fond of, but to be responsible people we need to have a look at all the facts. Hope this is a helpful other viewpoint.

    My only complaint is the cost of your recipes. I disagree with people who say eating healthy is too expensive. Beans. Rice, frozen fruits and vegetables, apples and peanut butter are some of the cheapest foods in the grocery store. But recipes with 10 ingredients isn't realistic for me.
