GSG Induction - Nickelodeon GUTS (SNES)

- In this induction, Robert Seidelman takes a look at the SNES version of the popular Nickelodon kids game show, GUTS. Videos abounded on UA-cam saying this was a really bad game. Is it true? Well, tune in and find out.

It's stuff like this that just makes me wish I could go back in time and try out for GUTS or Legends of the Hidden Temple. I miss the 90s :(
Glad the footage helped you. I think I lost a part of my soul during that run. That was right after I did the SNES version of American Gladiators too. If that ever gets inducted feel free to swipe my tournament of that.... I am so glad I followed that up with goof troop now!
I have that home game of High Rollers and a version of Password. I have just subscribed to your channel today!
Oh, and I have an idea on how the AVGN would destroy the game-- he'd throw it from atop a green screen of the Aggro Crag, then when he gets to the bottom, crushes the cartridge into bits with a piece of the radical rock.
This is a game the AVGN needs to do an episode on.
He would really get insane over the dysfunctional controls and how they're poorly set up. Not to mention the nearly-complete lack of Mike and Mo... and the broken difficulty setup-- hell, Day Dreamin' Davey on NES didn't have as sporadic a difficulty setup as this game!
I remember playing double dare on the PC as a kid, it had a pretty decent control scheme for the keyboard IIRC

The show was amazing. The home video game: not so much
I have the Wheel of Fortune game on the SNES & it wasn't that decent. This looks pretty wack too...

I actually did play the game afterwards with my then girlfriend Abby. We both thought it sucked.

I used to be good at the GUTS game lol.
I remember renting this. What the hell was I thinking? Trash controls, subpar visuals, lousy sound. At best, this was a pitiful cash-in on a popular program. At worst, this is a legitimate contender for worst game on the SNES.
It's right up there with Super Noah's Ark 3D, The Wizard of Oz, Pit Fighter, Shaq Fu, and Batman Forever...
I never watched or played this game, but I got some laughs out of the review. I absolutely loved Wild and Crazy Kids just for whatever reason I never watched this show. What a shitty SNES game this turned out to be eh?
