I knew I was missing something about the shape of my extensions but I couldn't put my finger on it LOL Thank you so much for teaching this very important point. Suzie and Camera Man, I want you to know that your vids are awesome and that they're perfect just the way they already are (Suzie, you mentioned that some of your viewers don't like it when you talk too much). So excited for this! I used to do long nails until I had my baby girl. For me, long isn't practical anymore, and I have trouble making my short nails look good. So happy you put this content out! Thank you!
I love the tips on the sides! It makes total sense. The short almond is my favorite shape/length of all. I have found if I shape up my natural nails into a mini almond they last longer without breaking. You DO NOT talk to much! This video is wonderfully similar to your early videos. Congrats! I'm on that journey too! Bc of years biting them they grow pretty weak and break when they are almost at the tip. So one broke last saturday, and i went to get them done with polygel and started using an oil pen. Kinda long comment, but maybe something you'd consider :)

I went the nail salon last week. I said I wanted short almond nails and the tech said she couldn't do it because almond only works on long nails. I'm so mad now.
It's really embarrassing the things I've heard them say after watching these videos. I love this channel. If we let them, some salons charge a lot for bare minimum work.
I'm not a pro and I was able to do almond shape on short nail. That tech probably just go the license but not much extra training. Many will say things like that because they actually don't know how to do them.

Great video, good to see ones for shorter lengths! Could you do some nail art ideas for short lengths too? I wear mine REALLY short because I play a stringed instrument, but I still like them to look pretty 😍
Great 👍 photography cameraman. You and Suzie make a great team. Thank you for showing the close detail of the shaping, that Suzie is talking about was a great help. 🥰🐨🙏🏼 thank you Suzie love your work
Hey Suzie! I have a video suggestion. Could you make one about gel/acrylic allergies and some education regarding it? I've recently became allergic to gel, polygel and acrylic to the point my cuticles/finger tips blister, bleed, crack and peel :(. I love doing my nails and nail art in general so it's really disheartening to not be able to do them anymore.. I'm now researching alternative ways to do them, as well as more "hypoallergenic" or 5/9 chemical free gel products that I could possibly use without reaction. It would be so helpful to me (and many others I'm sure) to be more well educated on gel/acrylic allergies and perhaps some alternatives for those of us who have them. Thank you and love your channel!!
Jim McConnell of Light Elegance and Liz Morris of The Nail Hub have done some videos about this, separately and together. The one they did together was fairly recent and is posted on both their channels. Jim discusses the chemicals that are most likely to result in allergies, things to look for on labels, and how to get more information from the safety data sheets. Liz asked some great questions that clarified the information and provided a nice summary. That video may not have all the information you want but will definitely provide a foundation.
It's the same in Puerto Rico, that's why I learn to do them myself. Plus I save a lot of money since the materials last me a long time even though I need a refill every week or so.
