Love your reactions! More Pink Floyd Please!
I heard someone say one time that "money can't buy happiness but I've never seen anybody sad on a jet ski." :)
Ah Pink Floyd, probably the best band in the world................. Ever !!!
The beatles are the best imo
Money is also pretty cool in that it has an unusual time signature for a pop song - 7/4. And then switches to 4/4 for the solo.
The sounds are coins and cash registers. They represent consumerism and greed. The first half (side 1 of the album ending with "Great Gig in the Sky") tells of the cycle of life while the second half (side 2) tells of the human condition. Pink Floyd are masters of "concept albums" (full album storytelling). You are meant to listen to the whole album straight through in order to get the full context. The songs are all related to each other like chapters in a book. The album "Wish You Were Here" tells of the toxic nature of the music recording industry, how people are ground up and discarded in order to satisfy the profit needs of the corporations. "The Wall" album takes this art form to another level enabling a complete movie to be made directly from the album.
I love her reaction
As with your TIME reaction You both kept me engaged and what is so fascinating is that it’s such cerebral and visceral music
Like you review and interpretation of this song. A US fan.
Great reaction from both of you. Glad to see you understand that despite money's drawbacks it's still an integral part of life we can't yet pull away from until the cutting edge technology is there to replace it. Interesting to see your reactions to the Pink Floyd song "Have A Cigar".
'Welcome to the Machine'
More Pink Floyd Please. React to Pink Floyd - Hey You
Dark Side of the Moon, perhaps the greatest album ever made, but still not Pink Floyd's best album!
Hopefully u will get to a later album of theirs. The Division Bell is post Waters, but a very good album. High Hopes is a build up of a very emotional solo by Gilmour. U can’t go wrong with that one. Keep it up! ✌️
Money is not important as long as you have plenty of it.
You must do Dogs from the animals album please.
In context this is a critic of the 80s till now wealth and greed obsession . It is satirical
Always thought it went "for the love of money is the root of all evil". Everything is relative and it depends on how u treat it. Their big chart topper
The album is about the stresses of life. More specifically the album is about the stresses on a traveling rock and roll band. On the surface the song appears to sing the virtues of money. If you pay attention to the lyrics though you see the element of stress in acquiring money and keeping it. The Floyd are also masters of incorporating non musical elements into their music. The spoken pieces at the end are actually a segue into the next piece, "Us And Them", a song about the stress of conflict. This song is primarily in 7/8 time and you can tell by the number of elements in the intro. There are seven. This is a particularly good recording because #6 (coins ringing) comes through very clear. A copy starts to go bad when you lose #6. That was more pertinent in the days of cassettes but still.
I like Pink Floyd Android Kirti! :-)
Okay its time for mother earth blues bye heart of course
Y'all are just too cute ✌💖
Someone’s gotta make the coins, right? 😎
Unfortunately, for good or bad, I don’t think this song will be irrelevant for many, many years to come.
How about some Alice Cooper..No more Mr nice guy..or You and me""Great tunes
I like Pink Floyd Android Kirti! :-)
Money is very important. It makes wives very happy.
Pink Floyd incorporated lots of non musical sounds into their music and made them sound musical.
Please react to my favorite progressive rock band ever, The Dear Hunter. I think you will enjoy the song " A Night On The Town".
Contrary to popular belief and Pink Floyd, 'money is not the root of all evil' but the ''love'' of money that is the root of all evil. [it's often misquoted from the Bible]
correcting your qoute. It is the love of money not money itself which is the root of all evil!
I know this song very well and I never heard what they said at the end. He said, “I was drunk at the time”. I started laughing. A typical poor excuse for doing dumb stuff.
React pink floyd another brick in the wall live 1980
Hi guys, could you react to Caspian - Sad Heart of Mine! It’s a beautiful post rock song.
